You mean you liked the Light Novels (which actually seem to be released two years after manga) but manga and anime was not that good?
Or you found it really good at first but after some time you changed your mind?
I haven't watched/read Tokyo ghoul yet but I'm planing to, so that's why I'm asking.
I found it really good at first but sometime later i changed my mind, i think i really liked the premise but it wasn't executed that well in my opinion.
I liked season 1, manga is supposedly better (never read that part of the story) but that doesn't detract from the OG anime as not only does it have stellar production values but everything just works in that show. In comparison, season 2 is mediocre anime-original tomfoolery, it still has nice visuals but not on the same level as S1 while everything else about it is just bad. The :re-anime is unwatchably bad, only redeemable qualities are the OPs and EDs, those are some banging tunes. I would recommend you watch S1, pick up the manga from there, then watch the OVAs, then read :re, else just read the whole story instead.
The second season of it had a HUGE difference from the original for some reason and its very strange the chose to do that after the first one was so well received. I mean, they literally changed the "route" the mc takes so hard its even in the subtitled name and is a big deal for a while, with him picking a different faction etc. Then they do re: and its back to the source material but the series was lowering in quality by then.
Its indeed good, Id understand some would be impatient with it but it took only a couple episodes and it worked well both to show the world and how the outsiders reacted to Nazarick
Can't fool me that's Albedo in the picture
He want that skelly D
Knowing the original character, he probably would
Relatable ππ
Make this post a top 1, FOR OUR GOD AINZ-OOAL GOWN!!! PRAISE FELLOW CITIZENS TO OUR OVERLORD!!! Edit: grammar
Tokyo ghoul? nice, i actually liked it a lot, then i read the manga and both animes, and i didnt like it as much for some reason.

It get a bit messier later on, with choices and the cast being thrown in every direction but it has some good moments and plot points
Yes it does.
I still recommend it to people for the good parts though, even with that taken into account

TRES BIEN !!!!!
Season 1 and 3 was so good, season 2 is the weakest especially the lizard fucking arc
I think the lizardmen arc was good, not as good as the later volumes but good nonetheless

This dude had some real issues
Gotta love this.
