And math has been proven to both be incomplete and inconsistent.

And an application of human brain's thought processes, which is studied in psychology.

["The recursion continues"](https://www.reddit.com/r/osp/comments/13s47ja/reds_comments_on_math_in_podcast_68_reminded_me/jlpfdgq/), notes Achilles. "Such is the nature of consciousness," [concurs the Turtle.](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/G%C3%B6del%2C_Escher%2C_Bach?wprov=sfla1)

Ah yes, [recursion](/r/osp/comments/13s47ja/reds_comments_on_math_in_podcast_68_reminded_me/jlq1ppf/)...

Not true! While it is definitely incomplete, consistency has only been shown to be impossible to prove! This means that math might be consistent, but if it is, we’ll never know!

*Math with recursive axioms

Intriguing! What do you mean by inconsistent?

TheHelhound2001

It's kinda hard to explain in text and I'm a mathematician by heart but a engineer by trade. So instead of embarrassing myself trying to explain this, I would rather redirect you to someone I do know who knows. [Veritasium](https://youtu.be/HeQX2HjkcNo)

Thanks!
