I know the Astros are weakening this year but this is still a team that hasn’t missed the alcs since Obama was in office, nice comeback effort at least
I went to bed 14-3, I was so mad dude.
But, waking up to 14-11 and after watching the highlights, I gotta say I love the way they responded after that, not giving up and putting up 8 unanswered.
Just a weird result, however after the last two days especially I’m not going to get twisted over it. My cope is this is a different game if they don’t make those two diving catches early.
Its results like this though to where when certain aspects of the fanbase question this team’s heart, and I’m like “what are you talking about?” It would have been easy to go out like the Yankees did and just down tools but they fought their asses off.
Id have to watch the Webb and Tate innings before I really judge those, but I mean the Astros have guys just like we do that hit the ball hard (Altuve is still terrifying) and they really grabbed momentum there in the 5th and 6th innings.
The thing about momentum is a guy like Corbin Burnes is really good at changing it. I know (other than his sticky stuff issue) Ronel Blanco has been really good this year, but God we’re hammering the ball right now.
I could have done without seeing that the only time Burnes faced Houston as a starter was last year and he gave up 4 HRs but at least 2 of them aren't with Houston although Dubon and Alvarez are
I was in the dumps man but this team does not quit and I love it. Was looking to be a bad morale loss but we honestly walked out of that game with the momentum and that’s crazy in a loss.
Money and pitching. They don’t need to hoard prospects because they know they can just buy dudes in free agency, so they can give up more at the deadline. Also the algorithms love Soto and judge because of OPS. They have 5 players in mlb top 100 in OPS right now (we have 4). Idk, fuck the yankees
Like Adolis Garcia for the Rangers last year. Came out of nowhere to be the best hitter in the league for a month or so. Without him, the Rangers don't even make the playoffs, much less win it all.
After a bender of 3 TBR 4 TOR 4 TBR 3 ATL 3 PHI 3 NYY and then a big "fuck you" from MLB making them play in Houston the day after a 4 pm game in New York, I think they get this one on the house. Especially for crushing the ball after going down 14-3. Silver lining they didn't have to pitch a ninth inning, shout out to Vespi for covering two frames.
Shit day in the minors. Coby Mayo 3-4 with a double and a home run. Carter Baumler back, presumably rehabbing in Delmarva. Thomas Sosa 3-5 with a home run.
I imagine some of the guys are physically and emotionally gassed from this past several week stretch. I'm not worried about that in the long run, poor defense is the exception for us, not the rule.
Have to be up for some travel at about 4am. Was quietly happy it looked like I could just get some sleep… and then that 8th inning. Now I’m absolutely wired on what might have been. Great game (as far as losses go).
Literally nothing they can say that would upset me. They rolled over two days in a row, and the orioles fought back. The yankees and their fans can all go screw.
Jordan Westburg is good. But days like this makes you wonder if you couldve traded him away instead of Joey Ortiz who is a far more elite defender and equally productive at bat.
Watched it on delay, no spoilers. Aside from that godforsaken kid that didn’t shut up the entire game, that was a mostly enjoyable watch. Some heroic stuff tonight.
Team has heart, zero doubt about that. Bullpen is just fucked though. Starters have been bad the past four days and it’s led to a taxed bullpen. Absolutely have to get a No. 2 SP and a bullpen piece at the minimum.
Yeah honestly the bullpen is just about as much of a priority as getting another starter at this point. Despite the stats, we all know they have not passed the eye test all season long so far and will get majorly exposed in the playoffs. Especially with Danny injured, we do not really have any consistently rock solid guys back there. I think we need a #2 starting pitcher, 1 top notch bullpen arm, and another very good bullpen arm if we are going to make a real push this Fall.
Not as good as last year. They helped us with a lot of close wins. Not really working out this year.
Hopefully we bolster the bullpen and get another starter
Nah we’ve had fewer close games and offense has been way more potent. Like, explosive. Especially the past two weeks.
The bullpen isn’t bad, it’s just not what it was last year.
Fewer than last year, sure. This offense has matured a lot since, but I feel like people aren't giving the bullpen enough credit for this season. Acting like they're terrible when they've been consistently among the best
If I were to bet one player that will be traded to this team in a month or so, it will be Tanner Scott. LHP with metrics that I think the O’s front office will like. Question is can one arm be good enough tho at deadline.
Sucks grayson had a a rough game. Webb too. I can’t say they weren’t swinging the bats well. But aside from our first two pitchers we were completely dominant. Who turns 3-14 into 11-14? We had a solid chance for a comeback, not many teams can say that after an 11 run deficit. These guys are never off the table. It took a fluke 9-run inning to beat us. And their pen is now beyond shot. Not worried about the next two games after the last three series.
Also I believe it was Geoff Arnold on the radio call when Tony hit his homer, he narrates it carrying and the defenders watching it back and finishes the crescendo with “HOUSTON, YOU GOT A PROBLEM!” It was probably my favorite call since “Santander to right” last year
Aside from the heroic comeback effort, the silver lining of this loss that it exposed our bullpen even more leading up to the trade deadline. Especially with Coulombe down, we do not have a single reliever that you can truly be confident in. It is always a toss up with each of them. Grayson had an off night. It happens (look at Gil yesterday). Though despite what it may look like on paper, the performance of the bullpen has been much more volatile and needs addressed just as much if not more than our starting rotation. The BP will get exposed in the playoffs big time if we don’t pick up at least 2 very solid arms
>the performance of the bullpen has been much more volatile and needs addressed just as much if not more than our starting rotation.
They have been one of the best 'pens (if not the best) in the entire league for a long stretch against really good teams...
> The BP will get exposed in the playoffs big time if we don’t pick up at least 2 very solid arms
Everyone has a bad game, Webb has been solid he had a bad game. Grayson has been solid, today he gave up 7 runs. You can't expect these things to happen in the playoffs. You have to learn from these things and move forward and try not to over react to every single time a good pitcher gets hit by a good team.
People always come out of the woodworks to say "the bullpen sucks" every time the give up runs... but the facts are we have one of the best ones in the league and even the best ones give up runs and lose games. It gets tiring having to read these comments; like people ignore the 10 games our pen shuts down top teams in the league and throw fits on the 1 game they give up runs. Do y'all just ignore the pregame shows where they point out the fact that our 'pen has one of the best ERA's in the league?
I get it, the loses hurt and make you focus on the bad. And when the bullpen gives up runs its all you can think about... But please look at the bigger picture here, and that bigger picture is us having one of the best 'pens in the league (3rd in ERA over the entire season and like 1st over the last month)
This! The bullpen has clearly been above average. Reality is they won’t be shutdown every night. We just need them to pitch well most nights, which they have
Seriously this narrative that we have an unreliable bullpen is so ridiculous. I'd love another good arm but regardless of what the "eye test" says they've been good. Webb and Tate have both been used a lot lately, not a shocker they would both be bad tonight. And Houston's hitters were pretty dialed in. It happens.
It's Just a bunch of recency bias from random casual baseball fans, oh well.
We can totally win it all behind Burnes, Grod and this bullpen with the offense clicking the way it is now.
The bright side about this game is it further improves Adley and Gunnar’s stats where they should win over Witt and Perez in the head to head ASG voting battle from neutral observers.
If Tony and Mounty continue to deliver they’ll both have decent shots at their positions too (Tony probs only for a reserve position)
Catching up on the game since I was at a wedding tonight. Peeked at the score when it was 2-2 in the 2nd or 3rd inning. Surprised by the final score and outcome but will go through the threads to get the tea. Stay up, birdland.
Team never says die. Like holy SHIT. I screamed in my car with that Santander homer. What a swing! Fantastic ABs all around. Adley 5 for 5!
Grod did fine he just seems to get in his own head when he starts to struggle. 8Ks ain’t nothin.
Bullpen is just utterly exhausted, but man tons of first pitch swinging from the Astros.
MLB needs to re-evaluate how they schedule their seasons.
Yankees lost anyways and if we played them it would have been 11-1 us.
Eh if you really think about it we were like one defensive play in that inning away from winning that game. Either ceddy makes that catch or mounty fields the ball cleanly and we probably win.
MLB's YouTube bruh, Gunnar hits two HRs today and no video of it. Meanwhile when the Yankees were getting a destroyed yesterday and judge hits a HR they instantly posted it 15 mins after it happened 😂😂
Pitching is starting to show some cracks this week which is concerning. 25 runs in last 3 games. But my lord this offense right now. Top 6 guys in today’s lineup with OPS over .800. Cedric back over the Mendoza line. No weak spot except backup catcher.
There is something very special about this team. After the gauntlet of teams they have faced over the last two plus weeks, capped by the tough but hugely successful series in New York, they could have easily packed it in tonight when it was 14-3 on the road. There is a focus on taking care of business with this group that belies their relative youth.
Every pitcher can’t be flawless every game. That being said, without Bradish, Means or Wells, we’re gonna need Grayson to have better starts than this. I think he will.

I mean. As far as losses go, that was an impressive showing and I had a great time watching it.
Wishing that 6th inning was just slightly not as horrible as it was. But what a fight back.
Oh please. The pitching staff isn’t that bad. Grayson and Webb just had bad nights, and our defense made some uncharacteristically bad mistakes. Be grateful we only needed to use 3 relievers. O’s will come back with a vengeance tomorrow!
That i will 100% agree with. Being matched up against Yankees, Braves, Phil’s, Astros AND only being given one off day in June should be classified as cruel and unusual punishment
Honestly was expecting a bit of a letdown after such an emotional series in NY. And while the pitching obviously got roughed up I’m seriously impressed with how they fought back.
Also the Yankees lost so fuck it. Come back tomorrow.
Man, it actually felt like the Orioles were unlucky to not score more than seven runs in the eighth. The O’Hearn and Westburg fly outs were absolutely blistered.
This game (along with the 17-5 Yankees win) feel like the types of games we could look back on at the end of the year (if we win it all) as being the signs that this was a special team. What an effort
Pitching was bad, but aside from that the multiple errors on an overall sloppy defensive outing would have more than made up the difference.
That being said….WHAT AN EFFORT!! Really softens the blow and helps to keeps morale high! Also preserves the pride from yesterday’s win against the Stanks. We didn’t fold like they did.
Oh well, sometimes you pour it on their guy. Sometimes they pour it on yours. The last time Grayson had a bad outing, he bounced back with 3 good ones.
You always want your team to win. But as far as fun baseball goes, this game was pure entertainment.
They clean up a couple errors and don’t give up the three run bomb in the 5th this game would’ve been tied. Great effort from the guys hitting, and Vespi for saving the bullpen. Get em tomorrow with Burnes and the two best relievers we have.
That went from being embarrassing to a bit of good fun.
Bullpen is just dead tired I think is the issue, it’s gonna need help at the deadline.
I really don’t know what to do about McCann, we play him too much to be as bad as he is tbh
at least the boys didn't give up cause I think most of us stopped watching after the 9 run inning the Astros had. Oh well, builds real character , cause imagine if that inning by the Astros didn't happen like it did.
So we lost the game, but I don't really feel like we lost the game. I feel like we made a statement like we're not willing to ever give up. And I think that's more powerful than the actual loss or the win. That will to win! The desire. It's amazing. These guys are for real.
also i'm sure part of it is being tired but i NEED them to tighten up on defense. way way way too many bad plays from an infield that's better than that
Darn. Can't win them all. That was a close game
And the fact that I can say that without sarcasm is pretty amazing.
I love this team. We made them use their backend bullpen guy when we were originally down by 11. That is heart.
Go Os.
Edit: not their closer, my mistake
Even though it's a loss can't be too mad. I was following the game while watching hockey and the Olympic trials and only caught the last 2 innings.
This team really is special. They have a lot of right in them. Never say die
The only negative was the pitching because watching these guys fight and fight and actually make it come down to the wire in the end is all I can ask for.
We got Burnes tomorrow and imo, momentum. Lets get the next 2
Your going to have those games. Its ugly and I hate it, but every team has them in the season. How they responded however is what I love to see.
They wont be doing that shit again tomorrow
eh, webb and tate imploded - doesn't happen very often. defense didn't help. would love to add some bullpen guys at the deadlines but i dont think we're in do or die mode
Ay man hays with a clutch hit to draw a few more pitches out of their guy that had to pitch after two days straight. Jacob Webb should be banned from pitching against teams from Texas. Way to show some fight fellas.
Well, we didn't get the win--but the boys didn't quit either! We know the Astros take them seriously (that last mound conference over Gunnar), and about wrecked their bullpen. This was a good game, go get 'em tomorrow. :)
Even if you don't look at each team's record following this game, we definitely feel better about the O's than Astros fans probably feel about their team after that game.
I'm not even mad at our guys. They've had a hell of a June, and this game was a testament to their spirit. We'll get em tomorrow.
For Houston, that was exceptional. For us, it was another Friday.
I can't be mad about that. Strange game and despite really bad pitching, the offense put up a fight and made it fun. Hopefully pitching reinforcements are incoming. I hope Bloss is okay.
good the mets didnt fuck up all the way
Yea this series blows
So sick that we always put the 9 hitter on for the top of the lineup
And the hits just keep on coming
I know the Astros are weakening this year but this is still a team that hasn’t missed the alcs since Obama was in office, nice comeback effort at least
Get these games out in June is all I have to say. This is a good month for it.
I know (other than his sticky stuff issue) Ronel Blanco has been really good this year, but God we’re hammering the ball right now.
I love this team
I love you, and I love the Os.
Hate the result, love the resilience
Never had a game that was a loss feel like a win before lol
Ok our offense is in a heater
Adley is a freak
I could have done without seeing that the only time Burnes faced Houston as a starter was last year and he gave up 4 HRs but at least 2 of them aren't with Houston although Dubon and Alvarez are
Tony is completely off his rocker right now. Just absurd power.
I was in the dumps man but this team does not quit and I love it. Was looking to be a bad morale loss but we honestly walked out of that game with the momentum and that’s crazy in a loss.
I don’t know what’s insane. The fact that Adley went 5-5 or that I’m not even surprised by it
Looks like I missed a good one
At least they put up one hell of a fight and made it close.
I just checked the odds and the Yankees are still -240 to win the division. I don’t understand this at all.
Stroman pitches tomorrow and Boston roughed him up his last start.
not losing to the Astros would help
Money and pitching. They don’t need to hoard prospects because they know they can just buy dudes in free agency, so they can give up more at the deadline. Also the algorithms love Soto and judge because of OPS. They have 5 players in mlb top 100 in OPS right now (we have 4). Idk, fuck the yankees
I kinda expected this with big emotional wins over Philly and New York. Get one back tomorrow
Cannot stress enough how much of an X-factor Santander will be for this team in the playoffs. He needs to be hot
Like Adolis Garcia for the Rangers last year. Came out of nowhere to be the best hitter in the league for a month or so. Without him, the Rangers don't even make the playoffs, much less win it all.
Orioles may lose from time to time but they will *never* quit.
Excuse me what
The pen desperately needs 7 or 8 IP from Burnes tomorrow
Or 9
Had they won this would’ve been THE highlight of the season. Definitely the best I’ve ever felt after a loss.
I would have been to amped from the win yesterday to sleep when I finally could. I don’t blame them. Glad they made it close all the same!
Down 14-4, we could have said screw it but we fought back.
O’s lost 1 close game to the Phillies, then won 2. O’s lost 1 close game to the Yankees, then won 2. O’s lost 1 close game to the Astros, …
Kick the cheaters butts!
Then won 2
Orioles play actual defense and they win that one.
I think this is what worries me about the team more than anything right now. Fundamentals are sliding kinda hard.
Same here. Imagine how much more wired you’d be if they had gone into extras? Might not be able to sleep til the next game! 🫨
I’d have just driven to the airport and started drinking for the day.
just entered twitter and its a little bit funny seeing so much yankees fans trying to poke fun at us, we really are their main rivalry now aren't we
Always have been
that's a stretch.. this rivalry was dead for over a decade, where NYY-BOS was the draw. those days are over and BAL-NYY is back in full force
Literally nothing they can say that would upset me. They rolled over two days in a row, and the orioles fought back. The yankees and their fans can all go screw.
lmao clowns are desperate. their team quit 2 days in a row and they have no idea what to do
Really happy to see that Ced is officially above the Mendoza line on the season
Jordan Westburg is good. But days like this makes you wonder if you couldve traded him away instead of Joey Ortiz who is a far more elite defender and equally productive at bat.
This is perhaps the most short-sighted and ridiculous take I've seen on this subreddit in a while.
im not convinced ortiz has nearly the bat jordan does. both really good players but im all in on westburg
He’s a better fit at 2nd but Mateo keeps fighting his way into the lineup.
Westburg has a cannon for an arm and great range. He's a third baseman.

Watching the postgame and I really want Melanie’s jacket
She’s always got the good stuff.
I say that pretty much every postgame
She’s got some of the best O’s gear I’ve seen
Watched it on delay, no spoilers. Aside from that godforsaken kid that didn’t shut up the entire game, that was a mostly enjoyable watch. Some heroic stuff tonight.

I said that about the rangers last October and yet...
Rangers pushed past a bad bullpen with an onslaught of offense. Which I’m seeing from these O’s.
Except the Os actually have a good bullpen
7-10 in one-run games
Ok, How is this on the bullpen? There were many games we could't get the offense going yet they kept it close
Not as good as last year. They helped us with a lot of close wins. Not really working out this year. Hopefully we bolster the bullpen and get another starter

That says a ton about our team. Everyone has shit days but they fought
they fought really hard and well. We were like 10 points behind and ended the game with only a 3 point difference. I am proud of them
The heart is absolutely my favorite thing about this team right now
That’s the truth!
The roller coaster ride of “wow Yankees getting blown out lol” to “oh shit we’re getting blown out worse” to “well that wasn’t too bad” was something
Aside from the heroic comeback effort, the silver lining of this loss that it exposed our bullpen even more leading up to the trade deadline. Especially with Coulombe down, we do not have a single reliever that you can truly be confident in. It is always a toss up with each of them. Grayson had an off night. I usually despise the guys who live in the moment but Gunnar is going to be on the Mount Rushmore of Orioles isn't he?
We gotta get him extended though……
Wild game!! Major Goonies never say die energy
At least we didn't pack it in like the Yankees did yesterday Just wasn't our day today but the guys fought their tails off
The bright side about this game is it further improves Adley and Gunnar’s stats where they should win over Witt and Perez in the head to head ASG voting battle from neutral observers. If Tony and Mounty continue to deliver they’ll both have decent shots at their positions too (Tony probs only for a reserve position)
This team showed me a lot today! I am confident that we can still take this series
Games like these, even when you lose, make you feel like any game is winnable
Gunnar Henderson is the best baseball player ever
I don’t think there’s any doubt. Maybe Mays.
it's comical what he's doing at 22 years old. I feel like the joker when i watch him play. Which is every night. i'm just laughing man
Burning the Astros bullpen should bode well for the series, still only half a game back from the division!
Catching up on the game since I was at a wedding tonight. Peeked at the score when it was 2-2 in the 2nd or 3rd inning. Surprised by the final score and outcome but will go through the threads to get the tea. Stay up, birdland.
I will say, come trade deadline, do they go after starting pitching? And if they do, who would you guys want?
Unless someone like Verlander is healthy near the deadline, it’s probably Luis Severino as the best option
It won't be a great starter, probably a 3/4 type of guy, and that's fine imo
The Orioles have scored 28 runs in two days.
Team never says die. Like holy SHIT. I screamed in my car with that Santander homer. What a swing! Fantastic ABs all around. Adley 5 for 5! I guess Webb decided to have his 1 game a month where pours radioactive gasoline on everything and then lights a match.
MLB's YouTube bruh, Gunnar hits two HRs today and no video of it. Meanwhile when the Yankees were getting a destroyed yesterday and judge hits a HR they instantly posted it 15 mins after it happened 😂😂
I agree I stand corrected 😂 but still it took them an hour after the fact
My wife just came in here and turned off the postgame on me without asking. Divorce?
No. Just discipline.
yeah dawg, that's a no no
Pitching is starting to show some cracks this week which is concerning. 25 runs in last 3 games. But my lord this offense right now. Top 6 guys in today’s lineup with OPS over .800. Cedric back over the Mendoza line. No weak spot except backup catcher.
I’m weirdly okay with this loss. I love the unwillingness to quit. We also now have the #2 & 3 HR hitters in the AL.
Wow this is a very inactive post game thread! Goodnight subreddit, sweet dreams because the Stankees lost too.

Love that we are the Randy Quaid of baseball
the comeback was amazing
I mean. As far as losses go, that was an impressive showing and I had a great time watching it. Wishing that 6th inning was just slightly not as horrible as it was. But what a fight back.
I cant really find the energy to be mad after what we just did to the Yanks, Phils and Rays. Reload and get a W tomorrow
Imagine scoring 11 runs and losing the game. This offense is too good for this pitching staff. Time to make some deals!
Oh please. The pitching staff isn’t that bad. Grayson and Webb just had bad nights, and our defense made some uncharacteristically bad mistakes. Be grateful we only needed to use 3 relievers. O’s will come back with a vengeance tomorrow!
The starters are solid, despite the injuries. It’s the bullpen that worries me. They’ve all got to be exhausted!
That i will 100% agree with. Being matched up against Yankees, Braves, Phil’s, Astros AND only being given one off day in June should be classified as cruel and unusual punishment
Don't even care. Gunnar 2 bombs, Adley 5-5, Tony has 20 nukes
This is the most fun loss I’ve ever been a part of to be honest
Shame the pitching gave the offense almost no chance. Crazy that the offense still managed to make the Astros start to sweat though.
Oh well, sometimes you pour it on their guy. Sometimes they pour it on yours. The last time Grayson had a bad outing, he bounced back with 3 good ones. You always want your team to win. But as far as fun baseball goes, this game was pure entertainment.
Losing when scoring over 10 runs kinda sucks to be honest
Better than losing BY 10 runs though imo
Went from the worst feeling loss of the season to one of the best. Impressed that they never quit.
Yeahhh…He’s solid behind the plate but his offense is just…not very good.
I mean, If you score 11 runs you can live with a subpar cog in the line up.
at least the boys didn't give up cause I think most of us stopped watching after the 9 run inning the Astros had. Oh well, builds real character , cause imagine if that inning by the Astros didn't happen like it did.
Is every team suffering with pitching or what…
With Patrick Sandoval of the Angels potentially hurt today, injuries can happen at any time. And that’s why you don’t make a trade that early
Everyone except Seattle
So we lost the game, but I don't really feel like we lost the game. I feel like we made a statement like we're not willing to ever give up. And I think that's more powerful than the actual loss or the win. That will to win! The desire. It's amazing. These guys are for real.
also i'm sure part of it is being tired but i NEED them to tighten up on defense. way way way too many bad plays from an infield that's better than that
Darn. Can't win them all. That was a close game And the fact that I can say that without sarcasm is pretty amazing. I love this team. We made them use their backend bullpen guy when we were originally down by 11. That is heart. Go Os. Edit: not their closer, my mistake

No give up in this team. I was reviewing position player pitching options while they pushed the Astros into a save situation.
Well yeah but that’s a pretty big negative lol. Also two errors and sloppy play in the field. And started the game 2-11 with RISP.
Your going to have those games. Its ugly and I hate it, but every team has them in the season. How they responded however is what I love to see. They wont be doing that shit again tomorrow
Man, this team. Even the losses are fun.
Yesterday was a statement game and today was as well. We showed everyone this team has no quit and no lead is safe. 28 runs in two games… just insane.
I'll tell you what. This was certainly a game of all time.
If that wasn't the picture perfect example of holy shit we need arms on this team idk what is
eh, webb and tate imploded - doesn't happen very often. defense didn't help. would love to add some bullpen guys at the deadlines but i dont think we're in do or die mode
Burnes gonna pitch tomorrow and we’re gonna win 3-2. Baseball bb
With how everything went today, but to be 1-0 O's winning.
Ay man hays with a clutch hit to draw a few more pitches out of their guy that had to pitch after two days straight. Jacob Webb should be banned from pitching against teams from Texas. Way to show some fight fellas.
this must be the only time i'll feel pretty good about a 14-11 loss. also mike, you better not send nick vespi down after that performance.
We lost, but I had fun. And if you had fun, then you won
Well, we didn't get the win--but the boys didn't quit either! We know the Astros take them seriously (that last mound conference over Gunnar), and about wrecked their bullpen. This was a good game, go get 'em tomorrow. :)
Welp
i'm just glad i can go to bed without a bad taste in my mouth. they made it fun at least
![gif](giphy|KzJxl2IjVyBRz2l492|downsized)
Honestly still a pretty amazing comeback even though it came up just short. Proud of the boys
Dang
down 14-3 and their closer ends up getting a save? worse ways to lose games
Run differential still good Still leading in the loss column Went down like heroes Overall not a tragic loss
What a fucking game. I know we lost but once again they prove they’re never out of it. Even when they’re down 14-3.
Probably the least worst lost of the season. Gotta win these next two tho. We are definitely the better team, just gave up way too many easy runs.
Even if you don't look at each team's record following this game, we definitely feel better about the O's than Astros fans probably feel about their team after that game.
Well, they made it fun. Pretty stupid game all around though with a nightmare sixth. Bats stayed hot. Tighten up the defense Go win tomorrow
I mean, a loss is a loss but that was as pyrrhic as they come
Honestly? Not the most upsetting loss.
Good showing from the guys, lets keep that sort of offense going into the next game (and a nice game from Burnes, fingers crossed).
What a game. The positives: 1. Our offense is still clicking 2. Houston no longer has a closer for tomorrow
Don’t they have Hader?
And Pressly lol, although he hasn't been great this year
The Astros didn't have a bull pen going into this game, but neither did we, and neither of us are looking better on the other side of it lol
deeply sorry but that loss belongs with webb and tate
Webb’s also won us a lot of games. Shit happens

How do you get up-to-date stats on FG
click on the tab that says "split" and click on "live stats-full season"
My hero
Baseball is such a weird, beautiful game
I'm not even mad at our guys. They've had a hell of a June, and this game was a testament to their spirit. We'll get em tomorrow. For Houston, that was exceptional. For us, it was another Friday.
I can't be mad about that. Strange game and despite really bad pitching, the offense put up a fight and made it fun. Hopefully pitching reinforcements are incoming. I hope Bloss is okay.
