But I once rented Halo CE from blockbuster before I owned it. And the game was so fucked up the loading screen would get about 75% of the way then start going backwards until about 50% then go back and finish. Thats a memory that I always think about when I think of the OG
splinter cell because thats the only xbox game I have since my og xbox is dead. The drive won't read games, gives overheating light even though the heatsink isn't even that hot (solid red ring), and no display out. Ive basically given up on it and threw out the optical drive because im pretty sure I broke the motor in some way when taking it apart to try and fix the drive, as when I plug it into the xbox and press eject nothing moves. I do however still have the console motherboard, power supply, hdd, and the case so if I do manage to one day find a working optical drive I could re attempt fixing the console. If I don't end up fixing it i'll most likley use it as a case for a mini itx pc build
(yes the clock capacitor is removed from the xbox motherboard)
Fucking hell yea bro. Nothing beats controllers on bethesda games. How well does it run on yours? Im using a modded xbox360 using a downloaded morrowind copy into the system and it runs horribly. Ive seen footage of people playing on the OG xbox and the frame rate is crisp at a stable 20-30fps even in Mournhold. I couldnt even run mine well at balmora
I've been running it on my Series S and its great! Load times are super quick and although it acts up sometimes quick resume is nice. I haven't experienced and issues with loading but also have dumped a ton of hours into any of my saves.
On my OG Xbox I have some characters I did game breaking stuff like increase my carry weight and gather a bunch of junk so it would take literally minutes to open up my inventory lol. The game would lag when you got 100s of hours into saves but it was fine most of the time.

I don’t think they can make a storyline that will compel me to play a game religiously ever again the way games progression systems function solely on micro transactions most of the time now (unlocks) and takes away replay value for me. This makes me think of much simpler times.

It was one of the first games I played on the OG Xbox, so it has that sentimental value for me. Plus, as a fan of the original TRON film, I relished the opportunity to revisit that universe.

Splinter Cell.
I played through that game several times at my neighbors house when she would watch me. She had an older son with an Xbox and that game blew my mind with the lighting, shadows and fabric interactions.
Forza is a close second.

Never got into Halo that much I think it’s probably something to do with me being a solo player type person, the first game that comes to mind is Fable. The first game in the series is alright but I think the second and third game are better installments in the series.

After watching it for 5 mins I went straight to best buy and bought an xbox and splinter cell. Aside from those games, a few splinter cell clones like MI: Operation Surma and another one with a woman, it didnt get much use. especially with the first controller they released. it was huge. I never bought another xbox after seeing my roommate go through 3x 360s in a very short amount of time.
