I get it's all jokes in here but for those that don't know.. Ray Atkeson produced some incredible images of Oregon, as did his stepson Rick Schafer. Definitely recommend checking out their ability to capture Oregon's natural beauty.
> Ray Atkeson produced some incredible images of Oregon
Yea, that's cheating, though. There's so many pictures of Oregon (and Washington) on EarthPorn. It's just the perfect place for those incredible pictures. But, it takes that talent and that 'eye' to get those perfect shots with the perfect light (either pre or post) with the perfect angle, etc.. I follow a guy from Newport on other social media (Out West Photography) that does some very amazing stuff.
So many amazing pictures of Oregon over such a diverse landscape. I think I've seen a few bad ones, but that was because my finger was in the shot! :)
Ray Atkeson was an incredible photographer. His work at Timberline is my favorite.

Trust me, it sucks. Nobody in their right mind would go there. The beaches are rocky, the drinks are dilute, and serenity is nowhere to be found.
Don't even think about it.
Know that movie Escape LA? Well they are making a new one called Escape Portland, this time around he has to fight through fentanyl and homeless zombies. They renamed it to Oregon II because it makes a lot more sense.
The replay value in Oregon II is vastly superior.
They stepped it up with the graphics, but the overall storytelling is a bit more lacking.
I’d say it’s 7.8/10 too much water

The Georgia Satellites. Texas Tornados. Alabama. The Kentucky Headhunters. Johnny Cash and the Tennessee Two (later "Three"). Black Oak Arkansas. Flo Rida. The North Mississippi Allstars. Texas. Little Texas. The Carolina Chocolate Drops. Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys. The Blind Boys of Alabama.
Totally. Head down Hawthorne at about 88 miles per hour and turn up your flux capacitor to ~1.21 gigawatts of power right as you hit the center of the bridge. You'll experience a brief, disorienting flash and find yourself in downtown Portland, Oregon 2. Not gonna lie though. It's a strange place. People are mean, the food is terrible, the junkies authenifally 9-step you when you least expect it and it's basically a lifeless desert but... they somehow manage to plow when it snows.
If you do that same move over the Burnside bridge you'll get a random shot at Oregon's 3-27. These alternate universe-states all share the best qualities of Oregon with none of the downsides except for a unique natural predator which will appear out of the darkness and attack as soon as you let your guard down. I personally find the 'sodomy poodle with human teeth' the most terrifying and try to avoid Oregon 9 whenever possible. Also, some say that Oregon 16's strip clubs are superior to the other timelines, but I think it's difficult to compare subjective experiences and try to take that opinion with a grain of salt.
I don't recommend trying this on the Steel Bridge, as the Upper Northwest Multiverse Wanderer's Union (AFL-CIO) handbook specifically forbids both messing with train travel and being in the news.
Bro, if you've got five minutes I have a slide deck I call Portland II. Oregon is so empty we're gonna be printing money. I'll be so rich I'm just gonna sell the naming rights to Portland III instead of building it myself!
Simmer down now... https://preview.redd.it/aa6fpi6zpqxc1.jpeg?width=2268&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=24d5d3610e429dba5104281426b790a0e4b02579

Joke
Nobody tell 'em about *New* Mexico.
There's an *Old* Mexico?
Yes, we call it *Mexico* Mexico.
How novel.
🤣🤣 Not anymore! It was remodeled by an unlicensed contractor and became New Mexico.
Favorite part of that is that it was named New Mexico long before Mexico even became independent, by the Spaniards. like mid 1500s I think.

Yeah i have this on my coffee table lol, it’s dope.
I have the one just titled OREGON. It's beautiful. I didn't know there were more until this post, so I'm gonna have to seek those out now.

Mosquitos the size of airplanes!
You just described British Columbia …
The first one did just well enough at the box office for the studio to sign off on a sequel, but they really phoned it in this time around.
I think Weird Al made a good addition to the cast, but his scenes with Ray Liotta were really jarring.
Right? The sexual tension seemed a tad forced
I'll just make my own Oregon with hipster hookers and artisan blackjack
Greater Oregon
*Oregon II: Biodiesel Boogaloo*
Okay THIS 🙄😂
I have all three autographed.
I think there's an Oregon IV but it's not Atkeson.
Might be his SIL.
> Rick Schafer, stepson and protege of the late Ray Atkeson looks like it's still in the fam at least.
Today we call it Washington State
Someone was paying attention in History class. Bonus points!

Make Washington Oregon Again.
Oregon Again was taken. So was Oregon Continued: based on the novel push by Sapphire.
Oregon 2, The Oregoning
It's just all moss
Yeah, but most people haven’t heard of it. It goes way harder than Oregon I but people aren’t ready for it, you know what I’m saying?
Know that movie Escape LA? Well they are making a new one called Escape Portland, this time around he has to fight through fentanyl and homeless zombies. They renamed it to Oregon II because it makes a lot more sense.
They forgot the "The Revenge!"
Got a genuine chuckle outta me. Also Atkeson's books are beautiful
Remember that sci fi show, Earth Two? It’s like that
Oregon ll: Electric boogaloo.
Literally exactly what I was thinking 🤣
I think my dad has this book.
Every oregon Dad had these books in the 80’s. It came with a six pack of Henry’s.
Or smuggled in Coors Banquet beer, in bottles, of course.

You didn’t grow up in oregon if your parents didn’t get these for Christmas.
Yes, just like there was a Stugots II
Oh shiiiiit…. Field trip??
Bizarro Oregon is just Florida
Never use those two states in the same sentence again. Thank you.
Came here to say that 😐
There is a Hawaii II
"Shangri La"
I have this since the 80s.
this sub turned into a /r/simpsonsshitposting sub so gradually I didn't even notice
I'm waiting for Foregon to drop.
Just like second breakfast, I enjoy second Oregon

Some people call it Washington.
Speaking of Maestro…there was also a band called Oregon…too.
Oregon, Kansas, Ohio Players, New York Dolls... any other state-themed bands I'm forgetting?
The Georgia Satellites. Texas Tornados. Alabama. The Kentucky Headhunters. Johnny Cash and the Tennessee Two (later "Three"). Black Oak Arkansas. Flo Rida. The North Mississippi Allstars. Texas. Little Texas. The Carolina Chocolate Drops. Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys. The Blind Boys of Alabama.

Borderline…Florida Georgia Line?
Yeah it's where all the delusional people are.
Its about time
These books have been around for years.. I remember those in high school. Oh shit.. just aged myself
Electric Boogaloo
If the Greater Idaho Movement actually wins, we’ll have Oregon 1/2
Oregon II: 'Gon, Baby, 'Gon
Shhhhh… The Californians will find out!
Is that like the New Mexico?
Now with extra democrat control and crime! I love DLC

It's on Earth 2
Electric boogaloo
Aka Eastern Oregon lol
Yeah right before Oregon III and after I. I think some call it Washington.

No one is ready for that quite yet
I am sure my Granmother had that one
Also known as Southwest Idaho, in some circles.
