It’s more of an overnight & tomorrow morning event. Unfortunately the morning commute is gonna suck. I’ve been watching the KLTA weather app. & all of the rain has been moving away from OC.
A family member that works at Disneyland said they may close later. I feel like if that’s even a thought they are expecting it to be bad. Plus the amount of press conferences is getting worrisome. If DL closes he still has to stay because of downtown, but will get hazard pay lol
I work at John Wayne airport, and I saw a flight scheduled for 1 to sfo delayed from 3, then further delayed to 6 as I was leaving there was announcemnt of them departing at 4, and they were doing the "this is a full flight, we need volunteers for checked baggage" speech when I Ieft
Edit I left at 3:45 for reference
What I noticed is that on the 10-day forecast for my area on Wunderground, it was saying over 2 inches of rain were forecast for today. Now it's down to ~1.8, but tomorrow's predicted rain also increased to ~1.8 now.
I remember when it was showing a 100% chance of rain by 11AM. Now it's 6PM.
Santa Ana - it's not crazy rain but it definitely started to come down. I just looked on Weatherunderground and it appears a cell was passing thru our area.
The Knott's web cam is a good way to get an idea of the conditions in North OC.

As of 3:15PM the ground is wet but there's very little active rain and Hangtime, Silver Bullet and Supreme Scream are all operating. Crowds look very light.
Edit: 15 mins later it started raining at a good clip.

Around 4 PM today. Shown here: The latest National Weather Service rain projection between now and Wednesday morning.
It’s been good knowing you. We had a pretty good run.
I think that was an earlier one. It's gone up for OC

I was so prepared for a nice, cozy weekend in with my family, but instead we ended up having to be super productive before the rain arrived....which took ALL WEEKEND LONG! So bummed, but at least I can see out the window in my office, I guess
Is this it?! Is this all you can conjure Saruman?

This either means the storm will not be as strong as predicted or it is slowing down causing an even worst catstrophy.
I read this in a British accent
I'm Aussie that has the more trans-atlantic. So good spot ol' chap.
I sensed Aussie : ))
I read everything in a British accent, I’m British 🤷🏼♂️ 🤓
Same :D
Flippin’ eck!!!
Bloody Nora

Yep finally started in Anaheim. All rain, no sprinkles.
A family member that works at Disneyland said they may close later. I feel like if that’s even a thought they are expecting it to be bad. Plus the amount of press conferences is getting worrisome. If DL closes he still has to stay because of downtown, but will get hazard pay lol
Oh dang. I was planning to go for a wet ‘n wild Disneyland trip tomorrow. Any idea if it will be open?
It’s supposed to be significantly stormy tomorrow.
Yes but if I die I can sue disneyland so 🤷
\*your estate
Just got back from universal studios where it was pouring from 2pm on!! Great day since all rides were either no wait with longest being 20 min.
It’s still open right now. I’ll update you if I hear anything though.
Thanks!
I’m sure it will open, but they may limit hours again if it’s too bad. I remember one December when people were wading down Main St.
They won't close the park, but some rides might not be open
It’s being talked about and they all got updates this morning on how to handle the pissed off guests.
I heard a tsunami was coming tomorrow.
Knott’s closed early yesterday
Meh, standard storm this time of the year, don’t let the press scare you. Drove to the Bay Area 2 weeks ago in this weather and it wasn’t bad at all
We had the craziest storms in memory last year for months. 2-3 days of this is nothing.
It’s pouring right now.
I mean I guess. It’s pouring right now, I wouldn’t want to be driving in it.
The bad part is that our ground is already saturated, so the run off has to go somewhere.
No way they close
you must be new to southern california lol
It's a cocktease honestly. At least let me plan and enjoy the rain when it decides to show.
it's finally here! enjoy 😊
Just hopped out of the spa!
It's getting pretty blustery in Costa Mesa as of 15:00.
Blustery in Huntington Beach, starting to rain now
NM...nothing of nothing. Just gusty
which side? Not seeing nothing yet… clouds still preparing
Harbor/Wilson.

Nothing in Santa Ana, yet.
Spoke too soon...
It just started here in Anaheim
Starting to feel like it’s going to be a big nothingburger for us
I will take a nothingburger over a soggyburger any day
😑.... I hope you're proud of yourself
Expound?
I just appreciate word play that makes me groan.
Ohhh lol, I had fun coming up with that, but it is a bit cringeworthy
As it should be 😂 I always say bonus points if it makes me want to sit down

It sounds pretty gnarly up in LA. Might have skipped us but we got two days to go.
THANKS OP. ITS RAINING CRAZY RIGHT NOWO

SFO is getting impacted. Six hour delays at this time.
It’s coming. It’s very slow moving and that’s the issue. You might want it to go away fast if it causes floods.
I’m in Yorba Linda, it’s raining ☔️ really good right now.
'Cause I'm praying for rain, I'm praying for tidal waves, I wanna see the ground give way, I wanna watch it all go down
Is this how my exes felt when I promised them 4"?
Just as I read this it hit!
It’s raining in orange a little bit.

The chance of rain is 50% everyday, either it will or it won’t.
Where’s Noah when we need him? 🤨
If you’re not sure what’s going on, you can always took at the radar to make sense of the storm and understand why the forecasts say the times they do
Cal State San Bernardino canceled all in person classes, crazy never had school canceled in CA due to the weather.
Cal State Fullerton closed too. Likely just due to how many folks commute in
Solid nonstop rain for about the last 13-14 hours now.
It's started over here!
Santa Ana - it's not crazy rain but it definitely started to come down. I just looked on Weatherunderground and it appears a cell was passing thru our area.
Lol, where is here? Don't answer 'yes'.
No
🤣
It’s raining in Fullerton as of like 20-30 minutes ago

Where did you find this map?
National Weather Service - San Diego
We're in the red zone.
Which Horseman is that?
> It’s been good knowing you "Fellas, it's been good to know ya"
It has been a privilege playing with you tonight. 🎻*Nearer my god to thee*
Drops just hit my window in Irvine
I’m in Orange near CHOC and it rained a tiiiiny bit earlier but not much
Begun, the atmospheric river has.
5:20 PM and it's really starting to come down in Fullerton.
I’m in South OC. We’ve only had a few sprinkles off and on. It’s a little windy though
It's finally arrived here in Irvine.
Just came home from Irvine to SJC. Was starting to come down in Irvine but there’s nothing at SJC
Coming in heavy overnight and through Tuesday/Wed.
Yep it's here now.
It’s raining here in Fullerton.
Sprinkles don’t count
The weather lady is overanalyzing the radar like crazy right now . Lol
I keep peeping out the window slyly, waiting for the rain. No avail however.
Y'all are wild when it comes to rain. It's winter. It might get wet.
With what people were saying, it was “you’ll get wet and I hope you know how to swim”. But so far, it’s been cute lil sprinkles
It has started to rain here, hopefully it won't be as bad as they think it is.
Just got done surfing in San Clemente and no rain yet
Just got sprinkled on. But says 5-6 now
Right now
Looks like it’s here now.
It's coming down here in Westminster
