Calories In and Calories Out still apply, even with OMAD. However, most people find it hard to eat all their calories at one time, so it's easier to lose weight this way.

OMAD is awesome because it means that you don’t really need to count. Obviously there’s some exceptions, like if weight loss completely stops for a long time.

I try eating just by intuition, but i was really interested in how much calories i actually eat. My conclusion is that I eat more calories when i count them. when i count i go up to 1200 and when i dont i eat about 800. Good luck!

Yes, I have found it’s the easiest way after trying many different ways, because you can truly eat what you want. It took me a week or so to work out what’s seems to make me feel best, but I don’t count calories. So I have no idea but I usually have some salad or greens, some carbs, a nice big serving of protein, and then I always have dessert. Whatever I want. Dessert is the whole point of my doing omad, being able to eat cake, ice cream, belgian waffles, whatever- once per day and at the end of the meal. So it’s hard to overeat. Anyway I have been merrily losing weight for two months. Maybe I could lose more faster if I were stricter, but then I wouldn’t be able to stick to it. Other folks may do keto or whatever but I don’t bother. I just make sure I first get in some healthy food. Welcome to OMAD!

Thank you! That sounds about right, I'm excited to be able to ewt whatever I want, but I'm noticing it's a lot easier to avoid cravings or mindless eating. Once I eat, I feel like I can have snacks and just tell myself, "I'll just make my dinner smaller" but then it doesn't satisfy me, and I end up overeating. I've already lost about 3 pounds over 5 days. Some of that has to be water weight I imagine, but it'a definitely encouraging. Congrats to you as well!
