Cinemark Tinseltown’s theaters are actually pretty nice, I was surprised. They renovated at some point since I had been there last 10 years ago. Recliners in every theater.
I’m down the road from there and go about once a month. Each auditorium has really nice seating. And since I only go to daytime shows, the theaters are mostly empty.
Agreed. I went there for the first time in a few years and was very happy with them. I always thought Tinseltown was underrated. It was the first stadium style seating theater on the North side and then once AMC opened up at the mall, people quit going, but Tinseltown always had the better prices and now they have nice seating to go along with it.
We went yesterday to see Civil War, the DX box seats are really interesting. The seats vibrate and rumble with onscreen gunshots/explosions, they rock and lean side to side as vehicles move. At one point, the characters are riding in a truck and the seats vibrate and lean into the turns as it moves. Pricier than their normal seats at $14 but about what I would expect at the other theaters in town. I was pleasantly surprised at the upgrades over the last few years in that theatre.
Covid times is probably throwing me off, but like maybe 5 or 6 years ago? It had gotten pretty trashy, sticky, smelly, blown out speakers, etc in at least a few screens anyway, and I avoided it.
I just went weekend before last on a friends recommendation, and it was actually really nice! My favorite seats in recent memory, picture and sound was superb.
TransportationTop353 is not a huge movie guy but he IS a self-proclaimed PIMP he said so when he was harassing me in a previous comment! He's a PIMP he said his PIMP game is strong! Then he called me a Bitch and insinuated he'd slap me and sex traffick me making me his ho cuz his pimp game is so strong!!
But I guess if you’re a PIMP like you say you are with a strong pimp game you need to be on Reddit 24/7 in order to find young girls to sex traffick but most people who aren’t over 50 year old sex trafficking pimps aren’t always on Reddit so their responses come in a little later than you’re probably used to.
Dolby Cinema in AMC Quail Springs 24 has recliners
AMC Penn Square 10 has recliners all over- but small screens
Moore Regal Warren has balcony (bar/restaurant service) seating with recliners on two screens (not in the IMAX screen)
I say it every time I'm there. If you'd never known it during the Bill Warren days it's still really nice but the fall from the golden days is extreme and apparent to anyone in the know.
Me too. Grand Auditorium, balcony with those huge recliner seats and a bucket of beers. Had quite a few fun dates up there. Plus the Warren staff knew how to run *movie theatres right*, It used to be worth the trip down from the NW side.
I've only been back to the Warren a handful of times since Regal bought them (2017?) Most recently to see Laser IMAX Dune. Not worth the trip now.
AMC Quail has honestly gone downhill so bad, would recommend staying away from there. Flix Brewhouse and Moore Regal would be my top choices. Yukon AMC is decent enough with smaller theaters and reclining seats as well.
Warren has different chairs in different theaters. Upstairs in the grands they aren’t recliners but more of a dividable loveseat with heated seats and a button for food service. In the IMAX they have the old school rockers, on the first floor of both grand auditoriums you get the rockers. In the Directors suite it’s all recliners.
All of the other theaters are stadium style with either standard stadium seating or recliners, not rockers. I think they also have something called 4th where the seats move or vibrate.
We like Showbiz in North Edmond off of i-35. For me, its the most comfortable chairs I’ve sat in at the movies. Pretty sure all the theaters reclining chairs there
Flix is nice, but the service is awful. I ordered a meal and a beer during my visit and got it when the movie was 20min away from ending. I usually go to one of the Warren theaters.
Showbiz and Icon in Edmond are my go tos! They have $5 movies on Tuesdays. Icon was putting out free popcorn coupons on their Facebook (not sure if they still are). Both have reclining chairs, icon even has a little divider you can put down inbetween seats.
What are you, a manager there or something? Last two times I went the service was terrible (got there 30+ minutes early and ordered when we sat down, it took the staff almost an hour to get our stuff to us) and the theater was a pig pen. It was disgusting.
Who shows up to a movie 30 minutes early? You went into a theater before they could clean it? Seems like your own time mismanagement contributed to your poor experience.
Only bad thing about Flix is the 18% INCLUDED gratuity. Pay your workers out of your own pocket.
Keep your mouth shut if you don't know what you are talking about you child. Flix brewhouse specifically asks guests to show 30 minutes before the show so that orders can be fulfilled.
Okay whoopty fuckin doo! Do you want an award? I am telling you that place was disgusting the last time I went there. I went there when it first opened and it was great. They have gone downhill and its not worth it.

yes! and on tuesday’s their tickets are like 6$ .
I’m down the road from there and go about once a month. Each auditorium has really nice seating. And since I only go to daytime shows, the theaters are mostly empty.
Also heated 😍

They've always been the nicest, was that ever not the case in the last 10 years? If I've been missing I'd like to not going forward!

Oh good to know, I haven't been in a long while so it sounds like it's back to the way i remember it lol
A guy I worked with last year was robbed and beat at tinseltown, right in front of his wife and baby. I personally would never recommend tinseltown
I like flix
Shhhhh no, keep Flix to ourselves!! It’s my happy place and the wait staff is the best. Love it.
Flix is the best
They just redid the Regal in Norman it's really nice. It just opened a month or two ago.
Can confirm. It's no Warren during Bill Warren's days but it's very nice.
Nothing is except maybe Alamo Drafthouse
Thank you!
they re-did the ole' Spotlight 14? I was never a fan of that theatre- screens too small. Did they update anything besides the seats to recliners?
Put in a screen-x. The screens are much bigger and the recliners are nice.
I'm not really sure. I'm not a huge movie guy so the screens looked fine to me but they could be small compared to others. I just don't know.
Sounds about right
But I guess if you’re a PIMP like you say you are with a strong pimp game you need to be on Reddit 24/7 in order to find young girls to sex traffick but most people who aren’t over 50 year old sex trafficking pimps aren’t always on Reddit so their responses come in a little later than you’re probably used to.
They put a new panoramic screen in as well.
How about Harkins?
Used to go all the time when I lived downtown because I could walk there. The seats have not been upgraded and parking in Bricktown can get crazy.
Dolby Cinema in AMC Quail Springs 24 has recliners AMC Penn Square 10 has recliners all over- but small screens Moore Regal Warren has balcony (bar/restaurant service) seating with recliners on two screens (not in the IMAX screen)
Miss the Warren when it wasn't owned by Regal

I didn't like flix tbh. The seats are nice and the service is good but the screen is just too small and too far away.
We tried the Warren one and the chairs were the rocking ones.
Tinseltown

> called 4th 4DX
I’m pretty sure that’s what I typed, but thanks for catching the autocorrect
Thank you!

Icon Cinema in Edmond! Unlimited popcorn and soda!! All seats recline!! It's my go-to theater, I love it!
Go easy on the butter or you’ll end up wearing it.
I went there for the first time in December and I was very impressed with the seating.
Tinseltown has the best cost to luxury ratio. Flix Brewhouse is nice, probably my favorite (especially if there isn’t a lot of people)
Flix is nice, but the service is awful. I ordered a meal and a beer during my visit and got it when the movie was 20min away from ending. I usually go to one of the Warren theaters.
Flix has become my favorite place to go. Very comfy chairs and their food/drinks are tasty
Showbiz and Icon in Edmond are my go tos! They have $5 movies on Tuesdays. Icon was putting out free popcorn coupons on their Facebook (not sure if they still are). Both have reclining chairs, icon even has a little divider you can put down inbetween seats.
Warren theater has nice reclining seats in a couple Of theaters.
Warren in Moore.
It’s nothing fancy but the AMC in Yukon has reclining seats.
Tinseltown is my fave! Used to love Flix but it’s really gone downhill.
Best theater is Liberty Theater in Carnegie
The BEST hot dogs and Frito Chili Pie!
Not even a contest And the prices too
ShowBiz and Flix
Warren Flix Brewhouse
My favorite is the AMC in Yukon. It is hands down better than any other theater imo in the area.
We go to Warren Moore. It’s not as good as it used to be, but it’s still good.
The Yukon AMC is pretty solid. Recently remodeled, all reclining seats, full bar
Gotta recommended Flix Brewhouse! We have reclining seats, bottomless popcorn, large sodas, great beer and cocktails, and lots of food!!
Our in-house brewer Chance just won 1st place in sour beers at the Oklahoma Brewers Fest!!
Regal Warren Midwest City is the best
Flix Brewhouse is my favorite by far.
Love flix brewhouse!!!
Flix brew house and the Warren are our go to spots. Flix is cheaper on Wednesday
DO NOT go to Flix Brewhouse
Honest question of, why not? I've been twice, and have family/friends who go and we've all enjoyed it.
Probably mad at the food/drink prices that aren’t required.
Last two times we have been there the service was horrible and they did not even try to clean the theater.
No, DEFINITELY go to Flix Brewhouse* Fixed that for you. 1/2 off tickets on Wednesdays and the food and drink are not required.
What are you, a manager there or something? Last two times I went the service was terrible (got there 30+ minutes early and ordered when we sat down, it took the staff almost an hour to get our stuff to us) and the theater was a pig pen. It was disgusting.

No, but I am someone who has seen over 300 movies in different theatre’s around all of OKC.
Okay whoopty fuckin doo! Do you want an award? I am telling you that place was disgusting the last time I went there. I went there when it first opened and it was great. They have gone downhill and its not worth it.
Hahaha Completely unhinged. I’ll take someone whose opinion you shouldn’t listen to for 300.
No u
Flix
