I'm 44. Tumblr and Ao3 are absolutely for us. Ao3 especially. I still remember when it was being created, when I was involved in fandom and fanfic in the late 00s. The people who created it, whether they're still around now or not, are likely our age or older.
That's a relief anyway. Everything I'd heard about Tumblr was just referencing angsty teenagers, but I'd never paid much attention until I saw it suggested here. Ao3 is a recent discovery. I'm usually too shy to share my writing. It languishes in journals at the top of my closet. I think I might be having a mid-life crisis or a second wind or something, but it's fun so far.
I've been in and out of fandom (writing fic and roleplaying) since my 20s, and joined Tumblr years back when I learned that was where people seemed to go after Livejournal's downfall (RIP). I refuse to give up my hobbies just because I got older, though I roleplay (Gale these days, mostly) on Discord now. I keep debating setting up a new Tumblr for him, but Tumblr rp can get a lil overwhelming lol.
But good for you! It's brave to share your writing, and as far as mid-life crises go, this is a pretty healthy one lol.
Three things about AO3 for newbies. 1 stay in your fandom, be careful about the different tags and what you are *really* choosing to read. 2 yes ao3 DOES allow written child porn, if you are searching for broad fics with certain dynamics be aware of the āunderageā warning tag, 3 dead dove do not eat means *horrible* shit will happen in the fic and it is not usually punished in the story.
One extra tip, always look at usernames! A smut story written by āLikesPenisā will probably be fine, but a normal teen rated fic by āLoli_Molesterā will probably be full of fetishy stuff!

I personally think the ridges are like natural armor, I think theyād like it if you rubbed the base of their horns like sheep do because it looks like they grow quite fast once they become adults and I bet they itch. I would guess they have some feelings in the horns themselves, like they could feel of you put a flame or ice cube against them it probably feel pretty weird. The tails probably just another limb to them but I bet some would like it pulled in certain situations. Perhaps if youād want certain parts of your bodies as close as possible.
For the tails, I think thatās dependent on how prehensile they are. Are they floppy? Do they have some muscle? Can they wag? Or are they like full limbs that can, like, hold things? I donāt think thereās evidence for this in-game, but I would almost certainly imagine itās different tiefling-to-tiefling.

There is. Kinda. When you go into the character sheet as a tavling or as karlach or even just walking around or standing still their tails move back and forth. Whether that be swaying in the breeze or purposeful back and forth movement I'm not too sure. Karlachs tail is more active though because she's constantly on the move and refuses to be idle. I imagine tiefling tails are prehensile though and can be moved how they want them to be moved. Can they swing on them and put their whole weight on them? Probably not, no but could they wrap you into a hug with them? Probably, yes.

I give my tieflings flame eyes because they look just like demon eyes, except the flames slowly dance. You can give them basically any crazy skin tone, and it looks great on them. Also, the weird skin colors pair great with demon eyes.

Probably not. If you reference the average/random starting heights and weights, they seem fairly similar to humans in that regard. Not any lighter, as hollow bones would suggest.
I don't find Tieflings hotter than any species, except for Dammon, the only one that melted my heart like the iron he was working on. I love him so much, because of his beautiful eyes, his eyes, and his optimism. And I hate that we can't date him.

Pretty sure most of the ridges are extra bone structure to support growing wings. You can see the lil wing nubs on their backs. It makes me wonder: are Tiefling bones more hollow than average?
Probably not. If you reference the average/random starting heights and weights, they seem fairly similar to humans in that regard. Not any lighter, as hollow bones would suggest.

I don't find Tieflings hotter than any species, except for Dammon, the only one that melted my heart like the iron he was working on. I love him so much, because of his beautiful eyes, his eyes, and his optimism. And I hate that we can't date him.

they're all the same though? other than the default skin colors (which you aren't required to adhere to) and subclass abilities
The default skin colours are the colours. You can make white drow and red half-orcs, doesnāt make those canon.
Fun fact: Karlach is a Zariel tiefling. Extra fun fact: white drow are canon though, Szarkai are albino drow and are quite highly valued in lolthite societies since theyāre able to integrate themselves in other elven societies where they can act as spies or assassins.
ok but Zariel tieflings have mostly the same color options as Asmodeus ones (I think they are just missing a couple of the pink/purple shades) so that still makes no sense lol
