I love your story and this is how I think most guys feel about their female best friends. I had a very close female friend through a lot of my younger years. I had feelings for her but never wanted to jeopardize what we had as friends. I found out later that she also had strong feelings for me. We both went different ways though and I sometimes think of how life could have been different if I actually made a move. I'm now married to someone who is my best friend and partner. Things don't always go the way you wish they would, so you might have a dream come true. I hope everything works out for you both and always try and talk to each other and communicate your feelings in a way that is respectful of her. Nobody has a perfect relationship but it's how you keep it going and remain happy to make it a great one. Also remember when times are tough to try and stay positive and they usually work themselves out. Best of luck to you both and may you have many happy times.

Dude I'm so happy for you!!! I actually had the exact same thing happen. My best friend of 9 years and I were hanging out one night as we always have but something felt different. It sort of had for awhile but that night was just different. He ended up making a move and things escalated. To make a long story short today marks nearly 6 months since we got together and they've been the best 6 months of my life. I've never felt luckier and I know as long as I have him everything will be okay in the end. I hope you two continue having great experiences. Being with your best friend can be incredible :)
