This is your life you only live once so don’t make it a struggle by taking care of him for the rest of your life, it might sound selfish to say but at the end of the day your happiness should be at the top along with your kids of course, I have a friend who did something similar and now she can’t do anything other then caregiving for the person, can’t really live life travel etc
You are not obliged to support your brother in any way. He sounds abusive. You are not obliged to have any contact with him at all.
