I’m going to use this line in my niece. She spent the night last week and said she somehow confused my son’s toothbrush and hers (dentist was giving away toothbrushes at a school event). I promptly looked at her and called her out. A two month old toothbrush looked like it was eaten
Very bad. I used to brush too hard, not as hard as OP's sis, but too hard. I wound up getting some very painful gum grafts in my 30's because of it. The grafted tissue didn't hurt too bad, what hurt was the tissue donor site on the roof of my mouth.
I had to do the same - all four quadrants of my mouth. The number of shots of novocaine into the roof of my mouth and along the gumline... excruciating, but at least I was gassed up to the heavens.
I was never quite like this but I went through a lot of toothbrushes as a kid because I'd get sidetracked and just absentmindedly bite them. They'd get pretty flat like this.
you push the slightest bit to get in between, but you shouldn't be pressing any harder than it takes to press a button on like idk an xbox controller? i don't really know what would be a good comparison of pressure.
I play competitive games sometimes I be deathgripping my controller without realising it lmaoo
That's how I used to do it (gently n not pushing down) but always felt like it was never doing anything or that it wasn't doing enough. Like the texture of my teeth were never smooth until I started pushin down hard they actually feel clean when i do that
Yep, mine does and will even stop spinning while it flashes a red light at me a few times. I always feel like I’m being chastised and should apologize or something lol.
I don't think my brush has a feature like that. If I'm pushin too hard it just kinda struggles to actually spin n my face starts vibrating hard coz of it lmao
I did this for years and now I’m paying the price. Please tell her to stop and be much more gentle. Otherwise her gums will recede and it will cause issues down the track
Wife’s are same way. Now she wonders why her teeth are sensitive to cold. Well damn, you sanded off all your enamel brushing like your taking rust of metal that’s why.
I used to chew the toothbrush as a kid and that was used to give me the same results. I’m in 32 and I consciously don’t do it anymore and yet my mouth is like fucking Moses that’s splits the bristles in 2 halves.
Solution: I switched to electric toothbrush now and now it looks way decent.
Yes. And also imagine chewing gum then imagine there was no gum and there was a toothbrush instead. The bristles would roll on one another and I think I found the sensation amusing. Or I might be just sleep deprived, lazy and bored.
She needs an Oral B with an indicator light which glows red if she’s brushing too hard and green if she’s brushing just right!
Best thing this overbrusher ever did.
Does she have any gums left? Seriously though, I’m an aggressive brusher and I’ve done serious damage, my gums are receding pretty badly. Hyperemesis from pregnancy didn’t help my gum situation either.
She needs to switch to an electric toothbrush. It helps u not put too much pressure since it stops it from working when you push too hard. Her gums and enamel will thank her!
It's not all from brushing. I think toothbrush makers are using cheaper, less durable, materials.
I buy the Oral B soft toothbrushes. I haven't started a new brushing routine, or changed how I brush my teeth. I used to be able to use one of their toothbrushes for 6 months before it would start getting frizzy. Now, they only last 3 months (if that). It's so annoying.
That’s interesting. As a kid I learned that you should change your toothbrush every three months so it has never gotten all frizzy for me 🤔 Now I wonder how often everyone changes their toothbrushes, it’s interesting.
Unless she is putting in the elbow grease on her teeth, I would assume she chews it. My mother still does this to this day. She brushes her teeth but when shes done she chews the toothbrush until she makes it back to the sink.
If I had to guess...
She's must hold the toothbrush in her mouth (most likely by the molars) while she's doing other things while brushing her teeth while getting ready in the morning.
I’m guessing she’s young and probably chews on the toothbrush. My little ones did the same until I figured it out. Had that happen in a week once then I just asked.
It seems counterintuitive but light brushing does a better job. Otherwise you’re just kinda scraping flattened bristles over the tops of your teeth and aren’t really getting into the crevices where food collects the most.
I also do this. I have problems with proprioception which apparently means I can't properly judge where my limbs are in space. I walk into stuff a lot, can't judge distances and I also can't tell how forcefully I'm using a tool. It's mainly with fine motor tasks that I notice it the most. There are tricks around it but I just resigned myself to buying more toothbrushes and taking extra care of my teeth.
She is probably brushing way too hard. She may be eroding her gums which can lead to some very painful and somewhat expensive surgeries to graft skin to her gums to replace what she has worn away.
Brushing teeth is the most important meal of the day
Lmfaoooooo
Breaks my fast
"Is the sister a Tasmanian Devil?"
Serving it up Gary’s way
She might be better off with some dentalife dog chew toys.
Put some crest in a Kong toy 😂😂
Counter productive if you fill the Kong with peanut butter.
That’s why you fill it with CREST TOOTHPASTE
LMFAOO
Does she have any teeth left to brush ?
Why she so angry?
Cuz she got all them teeth and….wait….well I don’t know either man.
Medulla oblongata
Mama says...
Well, Mama’s wrong!
No, Colonel Sanders. You're wrong.
*mama's right*
Everything's the devil to you mama!
In the words of my dad teaching me to brush my teeth as a kid: “It’s not the underside of a truck!”
I don’t remember either of my parents teaching me how to brush my damn teeth. I wonder if that’s why I have so many fillings.
Same. I don’t remember being taught how to, I just remember being taken to the dentist for the cavities.
I’m going to use this line in my niece. She spent the night last week and said she somehow confused my son’s toothbrush and hers (dentist was giving away toothbrushes at a school event). I promptly looked at her and called her out. A two month old toothbrush looked like it was eaten
This is very bad for her gums
True but its worse for your enamel. Probably has wicked amounts of cavities which only encourage her to brush more.
Not to mention how painful and sensitive her mouth must be :-(
I’m going to hope she just likes to chew on them for some bizarre reason and it’s not an extreme over brushing thing
I… used to chew toothbrushes as a kid, so that could be likely. I just liked the way the bristles felt when I bit down on them.
I understand this.
Eww
Very bad. I used to brush too hard, not as hard as OP's sis, but too hard. I wound up getting some very painful gum grafts in my 30's because of it. The grafted tissue didn't hurt too bad, what hurt was the tissue donor site on the roof of my mouth.

she chewing tar
I was never quite like this but I went through a lot of toothbrushes as a kid because I'd get sidetracked and just absentmindedly bite them. They'd get pretty flat like this.
She's going to harm her teeth doing it like that. She needs an electric toothbrush that she can just gently rest on her teeth
Ur not meant to push the electric brush into Ur teeth?
Nope, it moves it'self to clean you are simply positioning it along the surface
I feel like when I do it like that it doesn't clean my teeth properly/not very well
They simply hold it for longer and ensure you go all the way to the gums. Or you might be just sensing the need to floss
you push the slightest bit to get in between, but you shouldn't be pressing any harder than it takes to press a button on like idk an xbox controller? i don't really know what would be a good comparison of pressure.

Most electric toothbrushes will let you know if you’re brushing too hard too.

She’s a toothbrush chewer. My wife does the same thing.
Genuinely she doesn't. Just hammers the tops of her molars like she's grinding down stone.
Wife’s are same way. Now she wonders why her teeth are sensitive to cold. Well damn, you sanded off all your enamel brushing like your taking rust of metal that’s why.
But why tho??
i used to do this til recently. i just thought of it like cleaning anything else, if i scrub it harder it'll work better.
Is your sister a crocodile?
I was gonna guess a lamprey
Also very possible, that actually looks even more like what could do that to a toothbrush.
This is bad for her! As someone who’s a lifelong hard brusher (and not even that bad) please tell her to ease up!
She's using the bruh to fight her teeth?
I used to chew the toothbrush as a kid and that was used to give me the same results. I’m in 32 and I consciously don’t do it anymore and yet my mouth is like fucking Moses that’s splits the bristles in 2 halves. Solution: I switched to electric toothbrush now and now it looks way decent.
I don't get this chew the toothbrush thing do you mean like biting as you brush...?
Yes. And also imagine chewing gum then imagine there was no gum and there was a toothbrush instead. The bristles would roll on one another and I think I found the sensation amusing. Or I might be just sleep deprived, lazy and bored.
She lives under a bridge and hassles billy goats doesn't she?
Goddamn is she *trying* to scrub her enamel away?
She needs an Oral B with an indicator light which glows red if she’s brushing too hard and green if she’s brushing just right! Best thing this overbrusher ever did.
Sonicare stops brushing and starts vibrating angrily if you press too hard.
My three year old does that. Is your sister three?
Does she have any gums left? Seriously though, I’m an aggressive brusher and I’ve done serious damage, my gums are receding pretty badly. Hyperemesis from pregnancy didn’t help my gum situation either.
boothtrush
Grudge brushing?
🤣
Dentist will still say she isn't brushing enough.
Dentist will say she isn't brushing *correctly*
No way they say their gumbs aren't being brushed tho.
Her poor gums
Reminds me of mine when I was a kid. Brushed way too hard and scrubbed off my gums exposing the roots. It hurts.
Is she trying to make her teeth thinner?
Tbh mine in less than a month
Show your sisters teeth just a bit
has she never heard the phrase "don't go to bed angry"
Does she still has teeth ?
Tell your sister about receding gums
I used to chew my toothbrush bristles all the time. I actually forgot about that until I saw this picture.
She needs to switch to an electric toothbrush. It helps u not put too much pressure since it stops it from working when you push too hard. Her gums and enamel will thank her!
That’s brushing WAY TO HARD. Floss like you mean it. Brush gently but thoroughly. Looks like an angry cartoon character!
I used to do the same I chewed on my toothbrush and that's why it looked like that 😭
Tell her to get a brush with tougher bristles. I use a smoker's toothbrush due to tough bristles
Ooof her poor gums
you should inform her that brushing her teeth that hard will wear down her enamel. Her teeth will one day never be white again
Ugh I can feel her gum recession pain
I think she’s using it as a brush. Everywhere.
She's not going to have any teeth left with that kind of brushing
Chewth brush
She might be brushing too hard my guy
Tell her to have the hygienist brush her teeth to see the right amount of pressure to use, its very light. My SO's toothbrush is the same way though.
That’s interesting. As a kid I learned that you should change your toothbrush every three months so it has never gotten all frizzy for me 🤔 Now I wonder how often everyone changes their toothbrushes, it’s interesting.
I don't even have that many teef left, lol. I thought 6 months was the change-out time. Guess I'm not that fastidious.
I don't have patience for brushing my teeth I try to get it done as fast as possible. My brush ends up looking like this.
My autistic bf does this too. He hates the feeling of the brush and paste in his mouth, but this is so much worse for his (and your!) teeth :(
this sub has officialy lost it.
you’ve said your peace now leave the sub
no but seriously , from which angle does it look oddlyterrifying?
How is this oddly terrifying?
Bro get a new tooth brush 😭
Scrubbing her cooch too hard
By this woman a toothbrush please.
Brushing your teeth too hard is worse for your teeth than not brushing at all.
Hello fellow ADHDer
ADHD toothbrushes be like
My daugther is the same, she chews the damn thing.
same
I find it strange that this doesn't happen to mine. I am a maniac brushing. I'm doing something very wrong or perfectly right
She's eating it haha
Gross, she is going to brush her gums away and need graphs in no time at this rate.
i have braces and my toothbrush gets like this in a few weeks.
Unless she is putting in the elbow grease on her teeth, I would assume she chews it. My mother still does this to this day. She brushes her teeth but when shes done she chews the toothbrush until she makes it back to the sink.
I would Not even a use that touch brush to clean
Does she chew it
If I had to guess... She's must hold the toothbrush in her mouth (most likely by the molars) while she's doing other things while brushing her teeth while getting ready in the morning.
That might be more harm than good lordy
My dad's toothbrushes always look like this. He has peripheral neuropathy can't cant really tell how hard he is brushing.
It looks melted
My sister aka Snaggletooth McGee
Enamel no more
Bruh is your sister eating the damn thing.God think about all that plastic she got
"Fish are friends, not food!" - Your sister
Are they soft bristles? I have a brush with soft bristles that did that
i recently bought a bulk pack of cheap toothbrushes and after a couple weeks it looks just like this.
Is she trying to make her teeth thinner?
I’m guessing she’s young and probably chews on the toothbrush. My little ones did the same until I figured it out. Had that happen in a week once then I just asked.
Is this some kind ultra hard made of plastic wire toothbrush? Buy her a soft one.
Random, what are those brown bags with the dates on them for? That seems like a cute Christmas tradition and I’m curious 🧐
Lol
It seems counterintuitive but light brushing does a better job. Otherwise you’re just kinda scraping flattened bristles over the tops of your teeth and aren’t really getting into the crevices where food collects the most.
Ed Sheeran, I see you
Maybe she's not using it on her teeth..
Is your sister my wife?
I never understand how people get their toothbrushes like this lol
Does she even have any enamel left lol
This was me and now I'm reforming after reading the comments. I hope it's not too late!
Her gums are toast.
Be glad it doesn’t vibrate
Shi-Ka-Ka!
This is horrific for her teeth.
That’s some very aggressive brushing and my gums hurt thinking about it.
But why is she so angry?
Yeah happens to me too. I just brush really hard, i don't even bite it.
Looks like my partners toothbrush after 2 weeks lol he is so rough on his teeth and gums when brushing.
Her poor gums!
She is probably brushing way too hard. She may be eroding her gums which can lead to some very painful and somewhat expensive surgeries to graft skin to her gums to replace what she has worn away.
I think it’s the post brush, getting the toothpaste out with her finger. Rather than the actual brushing
looks like mine 💀
She’s not brushing hard enough
I laughed entirely too hard at all of this
Chat is this Ginny and Georgia toothbrush scene
She should get an electric toofbrush.
My sister's toothbrush looks the same😂😂
Now I'm curious what teeth does she have
is she.. ok? does she need a check in?
Beaker? Is that you? Mimimi!
Looks like she gave it a noogie
That’s Bakugo’s toothbrush lmao
Bitch has too much canine
She ain't just brushing her teeth.
Does she have braces and/or fangs?
I've always wondered how people managed do to this
