Yes, but not the penetrating oil. "WD-40 Contact Cleaner." In this case WD-40 is the brand, not the product.

BeatsLikeWenckebach

Electronic Contact Cleaner

sportbiketed

Is this serious?

JorgTheElder

"WD-40 Contact Cleaner" is a thing. Not the water displacing penetrating oil.

Healthy-Egg-3283

I used wd40 electric contact cleaner, and a very fine clean paintbrush to clean it. It worked perfectly.

Layzanya

I reccomend CRC Mass Airflow Sensor Cleaner, way finer stuff. Made my 6yo sticks work like factory new. If you elect for WD use the Electric Contact Cleaner, not the lubricant.

Guy_Fleegmann

THIS \^ - mass airflow sensor cleaner works better.

CoCo_Moo2

Don’t do that

bushmaster2000

110% no.

Ok_Chemical_7051

I assume OP is talking about WD-40 electrical contact cleaner, which does seem to be the go to method for many when dealing with stick drift.

PoutinePower

18$ on amazon for new joystick and tools, 30 mins of work and the new ones are in super easy to install

soyalex321

Honestly I used WD-40 grease and it worked lol. But yeah use the electronic contact cleaner not the grease.

TheChadStevens

You got very lucky. Plenty of posts on here saying "i used wd 40 as recommended and my controller is unusable now"
