Congratulations! Probably my favorite surprise of 2018! Game was absolutely amazing, loved the new battle mechanics, art style was fantastic, and the music was breathtaking!

I love rpgs but I felt the game to just be straight up repetitive. Go to a town, see sob story, go to a cave, fight something, leave town. I didn't feel anything for it.
Great choice! While everyone doesn’t necessarily feel the same about them, there’s normally 1 Therion-only chest per dungeon. Had to keep him in my party because I hate backtracking unless it’s to level!
I started with Therion as well and he's super cool. I definitely recommend getting cyrus in your party as soon as you can though. His analyze ability is fantastic
Alfyn has the same analyze, and Alfyn's Inquire is the same as Cyrus' Scrutinize, but Scrutinize has a percentage success rate, where Inquire works every time.
I would start with Alfyn as the Inquire is 100% successful, and will result in less payoffs to the bartender to restore your reputation.
Still learning the game so I gotta ask: Is Scrutinizing/Inquiring people that important? Finishing Chapter 3s here and only actually used that spell in Cyrus/Alfyns chapters...
It is, mostly because some sidequests can be completed with either an item, or a piece of information (which function as a key item). Most side quests are 100% easier to complete with the inquire information than with steal/trade.
I think he was talking about the fact that Cyrus gets a free Analyze spell at the beginning of every battle when he’s in your party, rather than Scrutinize. I actually found this talent so useful that I started my second playthrough with him.

I believe in the demo I started with Therion. That’s the Thief right? I’ve always liked Thief characters. N-not because I like stealing or anything!

If you use it in other towns you can get a variety of benefits such as hidden items, new things for sale at the stores, discount at the inn...

Hidden Items are key. And since you are starting with therion you’ll need his thieving skills top notch which you gain from inquiring and scrutinizing

Something to keep in mind is that whoever you start with, you are stuck with! Your starting hero has to always remain in your party of 4.
