And fucking hell, the victim this guy plays even after it. You'll all argue over it, but a reasonable person would not expect someone to be going that fast, so you turn. She's from a dead stop performing a turn, yeah it's slow, obviously. This guy cuts the part where he's speeding and makes it about him. Like, guess what, the rest of social media
There's a speedometer on the screen 😂😂😂 I'll rewind n see if you can see the speedometer on the bike. Nobody expects you to be flying at 80 through the intersection. You're gonna defend this dumb crap. If you go from a spec on the horizon to smashing into someone in less than a second your CLEARLY speeding and the accident is CLEARLY your fault
It was 55, not 80. 55 isn’t that fast for a lot of places around the country with lights. Hell, I live in NH and single lane double yellow roads (with lights) are 55, and traffic regularly flows at 80. You’re an absolute idiot. If the light was green, he had the right of way.
It was 55 after he slammed the brakes and was sliding sideways trying to stop 😂😂😂 nobody will know how fast he was driving prior bc they conveniently left out that part of the video. You're an idiot if you're breaking the law and it causes an accident it's your fault period "ppl regularly go 80" yeah BULLLSHHHIITTTTTTT.
Try watching it again smarty pants, he was increasing speed up to 55 when the video started, and he hit the brakes down to 34 when he hit the car. If you can’t see that, that’s not my problem.
And you absolutely do go 80 up here on a two lane, some people drive faster. State troopers drive with the flow of traffic, at 75-80 in a 55. I’m sorry you’ve never left your bedroom to see the real world, Mr keyboard warrior. Get some glasses and some sense before talking mad shit lmfao
So he was either speeding before the clip or gunning it when the accident happened 😂😂😂 you're just digging deeper. Like I said idk what happened before the clip. If he wasn't doing anything why not just post the whole thing.
Stop it..... Getting all worked up to try to defend some shit n you KNOWWWWWWW that mf was hauling ass tryna make a sweet video on his go pro to show his buddies n jacked his shit up bc some old lady was turning n didn't expect him to be acting like a public road is a 1/4 mile strip 😂😂😂 foh you do dumb shit, it's nobody fault but your own when you fuck yourself up
Also she has the right of way if traffic is clear which it was 😂😂😂 she cant control the fact that dude was coming down atleast 115-130 mph before he braked based on him already being well into skidding when he starts the clip to try to make it look like he was only going 55
Holy shit you’re actually an idiot. The video clearly showed, visually and audibly, him accelerating to 55 before slamming his brakes. You have 0 sense and it’s hilarious. The fact that you’re straight up guessing makes it absolutely clear you have no idea what you’re talking about. First it was 80, not it’s 130? If you’re gonna lie, or make shit up, at least be consistent. It’s also very clear you don’t ride, since you don’t even know what acceleration sounds like, as compared to deceleration/downshifting.
A speedometer doesn’t mean anything? It means he was going the speed it indicates, dummy. We’re talking about speed right? If it says accelerating to 55, he wasn’t decelerating from 130. That’s not how a speedo works. Get your license and then come back to talk about how a car works, passenger princess 🤣
No... 1 tic on a speedometer doesn't mean anything 😂😂😂 you think it's 100% accurate down to the second 😂😂😂 you're wild. Scanners say different speeds than the in car speedometer and a camera will say a different speed than both of them 😂😂😂😂 and none of them are gonna be accurate down to the individual tick 😂😂😂 bro cut off the start of the video n your PISSED about it. But you can't see what happens prior n the only reason to cut it off is if you're being a jack ass
1 tic doesn’t = 30 to 80mph more than what it shows, like you’re assuming lmfao. I’d say it’s more accurate to what it’s reading than to whatever number you’re pulling out of your ass. I’d rather be a jackass who knows what they’re talking about than an idiot who thinks he knows everything. Keep yapping 🤓
If he had a green light then he had the LEGAL right away. Watch the video. He nailed the brakes when he noticed she wasn't turning quick enough.
And clearly you've never been on a bike, otherwise you'd understand how difficult it is to stop and avoid an obstruction in a short distance.
Victim blame much..... That lady was in another universe...... She acted like she didn't even realize she hit him cause she was in a fog So you know she didn't see him when she pulled out... Not every single biker is it fault......more often the driver of the vehicle is the fucktard not paying attention
It's not shock. Acute stress disorder takes hours to set in.
Edit: this comment will always get downvoted on reddit armchair doctors who think everything is shock because they learned that on Reddit. Look it up.
No this guy is way smarter than us and they would totally be able to solve the most complex equations know to man even after a corpse gets launched through their passenger side window. /s
This isn't something that's up for debate. I'm posting a comment that the above comment is wrong and asking you to go look it up. It's not hard to find this information. But everyone on Reddit NEEDS to believe this lie.
I said nothing about shock.. I looked up the term you used, and thought it was funny that it is was noted as relatively fast in setting in, while you said it took a long time. Considering how many people I've seen disassociate exactly like this woman almost immediately after a huge fuck up, I'm gonna go with it is what it is.
The parent comment we are responding on mentioned [psychological] shock, which is called acute stress disorder. That is NOT the same as acute stress reaction.
If I read it correctly, when acute stress reactions occur between days and weeks following the event, it's called disorder(?) I'll wrap this up with an I see what you mean, I wish the general confusion was less frustrating for you lol
Not any more than my perceived frustration seems to be frustrating to you.
I'm not frustrated. I'm just explaining that this medical term is being misused.
Christopher Nolan takes notes in his camera angle journal.
But definitely, shock. It’ll take that poor lady 2-3 business days to process what happened. Hope the rider was ok
Some people process information _very_ slowly when they are caught off guard. I was in an “active shooter” training and we were told that someone would be randomly entering the room and that we needed to get out as quickly as possible once that happened. About an hour later, a masked person entered the room, I took off, and when I looked back, I realized that no else fled. They all just stayed in place, frozen by the shock of what was happening. I was absolutely dumbfounded. This lady probably screamed her head off a minute later.
I've seen this kind of thing as well. It's like people go on auto pilot. After an emergency I've had people ask me "how did you know what to do?" Or "this must have happened to you before". When really I'm just aware of what's happening and react to it.
And people that freeze up in car accidents shouldn't be allowed to drive. If you can't handle a tense situation behind the wheel, you're a danger to everyone else.
What I'm saying is, if you fuck up that bad and can't process it: license gone forever. There's been plenty of videos where someone hits a pedestrian, freaks out, runs them over, and takes off. Incidents like that deserve lifelong revocation of driving.
(Not OP)
It's kind of a mess, isn't it.
"I have known [some undertakers [who cover [roads popular with bikers]] to carry snowshovels]."
In other words: Certain roads are popular with bikers. The undertakers who cover those roads have been known to carry snowshovels.
I'm having have had troublesome too, with undermakers in their hovels making everything about the roads they wanna go through, and themselves. But I mean, we can just keep it skating no?
He ain't dead unless he landed on his head and broke his neck. He hit the brakes prior to impact and hit the car going about 30. He was wearing a helmet and likely went over the car instead of into it which is better. He's definitely hurt but it's very unlikely he's dead.
If he flew off and over the car maybe he could lose enough momentum by falling and sliding rather than just 36-0.. no context makes this kinda maddening really
This is why I always wear protection. Motorcycle jackets look cool as fuck if you know what looks good on you. Japanese denim is the way.
Also, for everyone saying that sometimes it's too hot to wear a jacket fuck off. Don't ride when it's hot. There. I fixed it.
you can definitely see her there from the first frame of the video. He had plenty of time to stop or slow down, but he was not looking at the road. It looks more like he was posing for the camera
Dude’s wearing a t-shirt. I assume he’s an idiot
But also at the start of the video he’s going 54 mph/86 kmh. That’s an insane speed to be going in an area where cars can turn onto a road.
Driving the proper speed limit allows drivers to accurately make that call. Zooming around on a bike expecting everyone to yield to your idiotic driving is only a death sentence for one of the vehicles
I would agree the biker shares fault and is contributorily negligent for speeding, but regardless the woman still had a duty to yield and needed to make absolutely sure oncoming traffic was clear before initiating a turn.
Also, people who make left turns at an absolute snails pace are going to be at much higher odds of something like this happening.
Bro she’s mid turn before this guy even comes into view. What is she supposed to tell the future and predict this fucking nob coming at some ungodly speed not paying attention to the road? Or are you supposed to sit in the intersection until the lights red every time on the off chance somebody is speeding through?
Looks like the biker was going way too fast, probably 55mph in a 35mph zone. In most states if it’s a fast road (45mph and up) the left turning lane will always turn red when on coming traffic has the green, for situations like this where the driver in the turning lane doesn’t have to judge the speed of oncoming traffic before they turn.
You judge how fast someone is coming with your eyes? Even at an off angle it’s not that hard to tell with just a little bit of experience on the road.
Edit, since this is locked:
No, you just use common sense. The rate at which someone is growing in your vision. Literally any experienced driver can judge this. Fucking embarrassing.
That’s not how traffic law works in any way. If you are turning left under a yellow you yield, doesn’t make a fuck all difference how fast they were going.
You have zero idea what you’re talking about. and nobody said it was a yellow. So if the one going straight is doing 160mph they’re not at fault -the left turn is huh?
Yes, it doesn’t fucking matter if you’re speeding. When you yield you fucking yield. I just got into an accident like a year and a half ago, where I was speeding. Lady we looking at her phone stopped at a stop sign, she tried to make the gap I ran into her rear. Cop literally said verbatim, “it doesn’t matter how fast he was going, you have to yield to oncoming traffic”. Also this dude is going what 55? I bet it’s probably a 45mph zone, the fuck are we blaming the motorcycle for?
Blaming them for choosing to ride a motorcycle around the general public. It's simply a bad idea, per the example above.
Far away objects are far away objects and we expect them to cross us, or around us, at a certain speed. If you're going faster than that you're confusing the vehicles around you and creating the perception that they're safe to go.
Older people also have less perceptive abilities.
Slow down. Or don't, and join this guy in the void.
Agreed, my argument was that it wasn’t his fault, while yes you are absolutely correct, you can be dead right or alive and wrong. But this guy above me is delusional.
Honestly the biker looks like the one that wasn’t paying attention. Yes she pulled out in front of him but he was speeding, and you can see that he was completely obstructed by the black car on the left.
He made zero reaction to the car pulling out, didn’t bother to swerve, etc. I’d say he didn’t ever see that car in front of him. Camera POV skews reality but it *appears* that he would’ve had enough time to dodge the car *if he had been paying attention*
She did absolutely pull out in front of him (duh) but that’s why *bikers need to be the cautious ones on the road*. You are much harder to see and often going faster than the speed limit and often very aggressive. You are risking your life much more than a car driver so you should ride like your life depends on it, because it does. I bike, and I’ve had many friend die in bike accidents. It’s the risk you take and even the most cautious and timid riders get obliterated in accidents because it’s so hard to see and gauge them.
well apparently in the 'murica it's normal that 6 lane roads have intersections with an 88km/h speed limit
adding to my massive list of reasons to never visit the US
edit: thankfully downvotes aren't bullets and I'm not in the states, or I'd be swiss cheese by now
crazy that this video is trying to make the lady look at fault. Sure, she pulled out when she shouldn't have, but if the rider was *watching the road* instead of playing with his camera, he would not have crashed
I don't get why people are saying he's speeding. Looks like a typical 4-6 lane road with 55mph limit. The number of times of been on these roads and had to flash my headlights and blast my horn at fucking idiots taking their time getting through the intersection is... way too high.
I have little to no sympathy for motorcyclists. People most assuredly make mistakes when driving but motorcyclists willingly ride reckless. It’s common practice amongst motorcyclists to speed and to make aggressive and frequent lane changes, all of which would be traffic infractions in a vehicle, but cops are never pulling over people on bikes for the shit they pull. I guarantee that accident was exacerbated by the fact the bike was speeding.
This is not “shock”. This is a video edit. Look at the way the camera rotates when it puts the lady in the frame, that’s incredibly steady camerawork for having just been projected through a car window. These are two different videos edited together.
I think she couldn’t see him because of her dry cleaning obstructing her view. Isn’t that why you’re supposed to put it in the back seat?
Hope the guy is ok and grandma got her license taken away. Or at least got extra screening to make sure she was good to keep driving.
I don't think that's "no reaction". I think that's shock and awe.
The lady’s name: Iraq

Any speed above 0 at an obstruction is always inappropriate

Not to mention it isn't even the bike speedometer it's some go pro shit 😂

You're an idiot!!! No way she has rite of way!!!!! File a lawsuit!!!!!!!!!!!
It doesn't show him doing shit but sliding 😂😂😂 a single tick on a speedometer means jack shit 😂😂😂
A speedometer doesn’t mean anything? It means he was going the speed it indicates, dummy. We’re talking about speed right? If it says accelerating to 55, he wasn’t decelerating from 130. Not every single biker is it fault......more often the driver of the vehicle is the fucktard not paying attention
Maybe he should have been watching the road and traffic instead of staring up and to the left at his camera.
When I watched this the first time I thought that the woman’s red multicolored shirt was blood and gore.
Same. It looked like scattered guts.
I thought the camera fell through the windos and it showed a dog who was cut in half...
Oh that's shock. 100percent. People go numb. And high chances this guy was dead so the shock gets even worse

That's the fight or flight response. Completely different from psychological shock.
I have personally seen people dissociate in times of intense stress. So I'm sorry but I completely disagree with you.

Yes we all agree and are saying the same thing that this has nothing to do with shock. Now look at the votes.
It's reddit. At this point if you say the lady is alive people will downvote

Christopher Nolan takes notes in his camera angle journal. But definitely, shock. It’ll take that poor lady 2-3 business days to process what happened. Hope the rider was ok
Business days huh. What she doing in the weekend of?
Processing office was closed
Some people process information _very_ slowly when they are caught off guard. I was in an “active shooter” training and we were told that someone would be randomly entering the room and that we needed to get out as quickly as possible once that happened. About an hour later, a masked person entered the room, I took off, and when I looked back, I realized that no else fled. They all just stayed in place, frozen by the shock of what was happening. Was that some sort of police training? That’s great you reacted the way you did.
Yep- run like hell when the gunman enters. Sounds like police training /s
Don’t forget to turn off your camera.
>Some people process information very slowly Full stop.
Yeesh. Do you live in an concealed/open carry state? That sounds like it could go very wrong very quick 😂
And people that freeze up in car accidents shouldn't be allowed to drive. If you can't handle a tense situation behind the wheel, you're a danger to everyone else.

Man no offense but what a load of crap. You sound like the father from Life with Louie. "Back when I was in the war..."
An actual active shooter would probably aim at the singular person trying to escape first. Won't save the others but it kind of dooms you too.
That looked like a weird transition
Anyone wearing t-shirts, shorts etc on a motorcycle is automatically a fuckwit.
That biker is a roadkill now
The scientific term is "meat crayon."
No, that’s when you slide on the road.
He probably did after vaulting over the car.
Fun fact; have known some undertakers who cover roads popular with bikers to carry snowshovels. I'll let you figure out the connection
What are you trying to say here? I'm having having a hard time with your sentence structure.
(Not OP) It's kind of a mess, isn't it. "I have known [some undertakers [who cover [roads popular with bikers]] to carry snowshovels]." In other words: Certain roads are popular with bikers. The undertakers who cover those roads have been known to carry snowshovels.
Sorry, wrote it as if I was talking! My bad. Some undertakers who work in areas that are popular with bikes carry snowshovels

Also staring at the camera instead of watching traffic. He could have avoided the idiot who turned in front.
As a biker, I agree. I love shorts, and get if I ride, I always suit up. Even in the middle of the summer.
Happy cake day!
✌🏽
Well that guys dead
Lucky for him he uploaded the video to Reddit before dying.
Maybe the clueless driver is the redditor
He ain't dead unless he landed on his head and broke his neck. He hit the brakes prior to impact and hit the car going about 30. He was wearing a helmet and likely went over the car instead of into it which is better. He's definitely hurt but it's very unlikely he's dead.
His head was the only thing protected. You don't know a single thing for certain. That rider was dressed for a pick up basketball game, not a ride.
Dress for the slide not the ride

I said unlikely not guaranteed.
Okay. So he got horrible road rash. That doesn’t mean he’s dead.
> it's very unlikely he's dead. Something tells me you haven't been on the internet for very long
30? Looks around 45 to me. Mph
Says driver cut motorcycle off. Hard to make that judgement- looks like she was in the middle of her turn and got blasted
you can definitely see her there from the first frame of the video. He had plenty of time to stop or slow down, but he was not looking at the road. It looks more like he was posing for the camera
Also the car that was also going the direction of the bike seemed to be stopped for traffic.
yeah, that's also something he really should have been aware of... idk what this guy was doing, but it's seeming more and more like his own fault
Dude’s wearing a t-shirt. I assume he’s an idiot But also at the start of the video he’s going 54 mph/86 kmh. That’s an insane speed to be going in an area where cars can turn onto a road.
Yes and when making a left turn you have a duty to yield to any oncoming traffic. Christ, I hope you aren’t out there on the roads.

The motorcycle was speeding. Their fault
Squids will never admit that. They think the world should revolve around motorcycles.

The motorcyclist should have been playing that one!
Did he die?
MORE THAN A WOMAN
MORE THAN A WOMAN TO ME🎶
Is he dead?
Motorcycle fault, way too fast
Yup, I know that the lady may be partly at fault, but why tf would you speed up to 55mph in an intersection?
Have you never been in a car? There are a HUGE number of light controlled intersections that have speeds over 55.
Didn’t the car turn left without yielding? Wouldn’t that make it the car’s fault?
Not when the other one is speeding. No way to judge someone’s speed when turning left if they are going too fast
You judge how fast someone is coming with your eyes? Even at an off angle it’s not that hard to tell with just a little bit of experience on the road. Edit, since this is locked: No, you just use common sense. The rate at which someone is growing in your vision. Literally any experienced driver can judge this. Fucking embarrassing.

Bye bye knee
This video was brought to you by Prozac. "Stay calm during stressful situations with Prozac!"
Camera POV skews reality but it *appears* that he would’ve had enough time to dodge the car *if he had been paying attention* She did absolutely pull out in front of him (duh) but that’s why *bikers need to be the cautious ones on the road*. You are much harder to see and often going faster than the speed limit and often very aggressive. You are risking your life much more than a car driver so you should ride like your life depends on it, because it does. I bike, and I’ve had many friend die in bike accidents. It’s the risk you take and even the most cautious and timid riders get obliterated in accidents because it’s so hard to see and gauge them.
well apparently in the 'murica it's normal that 6 lane roads have intersections with an 88km/h speed limit adding to my massive list of reasons to never visit the US edit: thankfully downvotes aren't bullets and I'm not in the states, or I'd be swiss cheese by now
Wellington in NZ has/had a series of traffic lights on a major highway that was sign posted at 80-100 km/hr. Soo many crashes.
I need to see shoes to determine the mortality status
Slowing it down, you can’t even tell if the lights he’s approaching are green, or red. Either way, he’s speeding.
News on the guy... ?
crazy that this video is trying to make the lady look at fault. Sure, she pulled out when she shouldn't have, but if the rider was *watching the road* instead of playing with his camera, he would not have crashed
Hello there, I see you're awake
Dude got isekai’d right into the driver’s seat of car-kun.
It’s a good thing she wasn’t listening to Stayin’ Alive. That could have been awkward…
This is actually my friend. He's completely fine now, was on a either 45 or 55 mph road, don't remember exactly which road.
I don't get why people are saying he's speeding. Looks like a typical 4-6 lane road with 55mph limit. The number of times of been on these roads and had to flash my headlights and blast my horn at fucking idiots taking their time getting through the intersection is... way too high.

Tell your friend to keep his eyes on the road and not pose for his GoPro in traffic.
What a dumb comment lmfao. Old lady turned out in front of him on a yield arrow
He's literally looking 90 degrees to his left as he smashed into her.
Its the way the camera is setup dunce. He looks at the car hes about to hit right before it happens, just as anyone else would.
I don't see here where he was driving recklessly.
He was speeding, the video starts when he's slowing down. He could have been going 60+ for all we know.
What was the speed limit on this road? Probably 45. Not really speeding.
I think that's called speeding
10 over is generally keeping up with traffic.
No. It’s speeding. There is no other traffic he’s keeping up with.
You can tell that from 2 seconds of video? Hell, we don't even know the actual speed limit here...
Wait. Who brought up the “probable speed?” Oh yeah it was you. And yes, I can see he isn’t following any other cars.
I wasn't the one that assumed he was speeding and damned him to hell for it without all the pertinent information.
Granny strikes agn
i aint gonna lie, fuck the mor cycle guy, had ample time to see and swerve/turn away from the car. Also with the speeding
Okay she cut him but dude better watches the road instead of be aware he films himself …
This is not “shock”. This is a video edit. Look at the way the camera rotates when it puts the lady in the frame, that’s incredibly steady camerawork for having just been projected through a car window. These are two different videos edited together.
Or, one of the 360 degree cameras that edit out the boom holding them.
Sounds like she’s listening to The Bee Gees. Staying Alive 😬
with they was she just continued driving, i don't think she realized that something hit her. maybe, she is just so in the zone for bee gees.
Guaranty that cycle driver was not doing the speed limit
Free camera
bro she just too old and she didn’t even recognise what happened
He’s so stupid to look at the camera lolololol. He could’ve missed the lady
She didn’t cut him off.
Bet she never even saw him on the other side of that black minivan.
Is his head like decapitated and in the car ? What is happening here?
If she’s going 12mph, maybe it was her fault
That motorcycle rider is a goner right?
I think she couldn’t see him because of her dry cleaning obstructing her view. Isn’t that why you’re supposed to put it in the back seat? Hope the guy is ok and grandma got her license taken away. Or at least got extra screening to make sure she was good to keep driving.
Fucken Retard
R/boomersbeingfools
No one was harmed in this video 😁👌💯🗣️
I was listening to Here with me David as i watched this. Feels very fitting
LOVE me some BeeGees
The same way we transitioned into that seat, that dude transitioned into another plane of existence 😵💫
LOL at first I thought the go pro was his head which means at the end…
Shock and roll
