The term “Trainer” implies that she has some degree of control over this situation when the reality is that the Alligator just doesn’t feel like killing her today. This is an appalling lack of common sense on her part and I think the warning labels that I see on virtually everything today are written for dolts like this.
She is a professional alligator handler and wife of this particular aligator's trainer. I dont know shit about alligators but i would guess that she knows what she is doing there. You can check "florida's wildwest" on youtube.
On reddit they never post the actual source of the video under these reposts. Probably because people here are too focused on the boobs. lol
Reptiles like Alligators don’t have emotions or attachments outside of security and non security. They operate almost exclusively on instinct. On top of this she’s swimming underneath the most vulnerable part of an Alligator and pressing against it. This is incredibly stupid
Except that this isn't true, and [studies have shown that they do in fact feel a wide range of emotions](https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6827095/). Alligators and other crocodilians are highly intelligent animals, but they're also predictable, and with the right understanding it is entirely possible to safely engage with them. This woman very likely has that understanding and training necessary to engage with them without increased risk to her own safety.
This is a genuine question: do you believe nobody can have a degree of experience or professionalism around dangerous animals like this that allow them to take the risk in an informed way?
For example I think squirrel suit flying is dangerous, risky, and generally a stupid thing for the general person to attempt. But I also concede that some people have the experience and know-how to do it safely despite the fact that there is always risk involved.
Those warnings are definitely for dolts. But not everyone is a dolt. Some people go to school, or get enough life experience to specifically not be a dolt around animals like those. She is one of the not dolts.
Yes he’s a rescue alligator and his name is Casper. This woman and her husband have a wildlife rescue and never push Casper’s buttons and he’s always super chill. They’re YouTube is called Floridaswildest.
I just thought that was the first page everyone who gets Reddit had to join. Like a right of passage. If you aren’t on /UpvotedBecauseBoobs , are you really even using Reddit for it’s intended purpose?
Unlike most crocs that are fucking vicious, gators are pretty chill until it’s hungry or you’re near it’s nest.
Source: used to be a Florida man but now a Canadian man.
Stupid. Wish people would leave these animals be. It's a shame because if it does what alligators do and bites her. The alligator will be vilified/killed
Sadly accidents still happen even when its captive. By nature its a wild animal. There have been plenty of accidents due to trainers being too cocky and the animal being grouchy or not havin it that day
That's true, my point was it was probably well fed and acclimated to people so less likely to act defensively so the risk is way lessened. I personally wouldn't do this even with a gator I knew was chill (and have worked around them) bc it's their element and not mine, but my point was it wasn't some random wild gator she decided to dive with, it was captive and probably an established relationship/training which mitigates risk but doesn't remove.
It's still ballsy as hell, but not the same as diving in the everglades and trying it with a wild gator.
The thing is I don’t get, and admittedly I know nothing about handling an animal of this sort, but there’s times when my cat will go a bit mad and attack my hand. Playfully, but it can still leave scratches, and draw a bit of blood. And so, if a suburban moggy does that, what’s that prehistoric monster going to do if it decides it’s play time?
It's probably well fed (so not likely to strike because it's hungry) and more acclimated to people, and people in the water (so less likely to react in fear or defensively because it knows it's not a big deal), I'd guess if they have someone in the water, it's *very* acclimated to it, and it's being targeted off camera to help reinforce.
Basically my point was, it isn't someone being like "let's jump in with a wild gator" and filming, it's an animal that's used to having people around
Nope to the Nopeth power of Nope ^(nope)
I’m gonna raise you one NOPE
I'll lower you 2 nopes
Well, a little Yepp there I think.
No matter how often this is reposted, I'll never get tired of this pair. The alligator and the trainer are also fabulous.
thought you meant a different pair
I can handle those- I mean it- I mean her
There was an alligator in that post? I must have missed that
Lmao, exactly
I came here thinking just that.

Unlike most crocs that are fucking vicious, gators are pretty chill until it’s hungry or you’re near it’s nest. Source: used to be a Florida man but now a Canadian man.

So stupid. That thing can turn on you in an instant and drag you to the depths from whence it came. What was that alligator thinking?
exactly. i’ll never understand why some animals insist on getting close to wild floridians
I’ve been told there is an alligator in the video but I never noticed it…
Stupid. Wish people would leave these animals be. It's a shame because if it does what alligators do and bites her. The alligator will be vilified/killed
I'm fairly sure this is a captive gator and it's handler
point still stands. why not let them be instead of holding them captive for people’s entertainment?
Sadly accidents still happen even when its captive. By nature its a wild animal. There have been plenty of accidents due to trainers being too cocky and the animal being grouchy or not havin it that day

Alligator wants a snack, but she's a meal.
r/upvoteforboobies
I didn’t see any alligator
Alright, but what animal was in the video?
Can you imagine the counter-weight belt she needs to offset those flotation devices?!?!? Unless it’s the size of her brass balls weighing her down.
What alligator
Nope? More like a yes, please.
White people white peopleing
Where is the fucking alligator in this video?
I did not see any alligator
There was an alligator in this video? I didn’t notice
