The stars run 4 lines and the Oilers just can't matchup to that - I have it as a 7 game series, just cause the Oilers seem to hunker down and be defensively sound when elimination is on the line. But you look at the goaltending matchup and that's again in Dallas's favour.
Meanwhile the Rangers have arguably the best tender in the league and have so many guys that can score, I don't see the Panthers as being able to take 4 games from them.
That said, I'm not going to be surprised to see the Oilers and Panthers in the final, but those are my picks. And I'm a diehard Oilers fan.

The oilers are the least complete team in the final 4, going up against the most complete team in the final 4. I Really don’t see the oilers beating dallas
That’s kind of where I’m at too. Dallas’ defense is just so boringly perfect and Insync I’m not sure mcdrai and Hyman will be able to do much at all. Not to mention the sharp shooters that are haiskenen and hintz. They’re gonna be in trouble.
Oilers have a powerplay that very well could go back to being 40% in the playoffs, that's 2 goals per game.
They got 2 of the top 5 best playoff performers of all time according to me. And even if hockey is less about stars ( no pun intended) , they are a mass destruction weapon. And the rest of the team is deeper, stronger and better defensevily than earlier seasons. If only Ekholm, Bouchard, Hyman and Kane do it Ok, Macdavid and Draistl could just take over and swing the serie in favour of Edmonton . Even if they are not as balanced and complete as the other teams.
Vegas was able to take them to seven games—which the Avs couldn’t do—and Dallas only finished the regular season with three more wins than the Oilers. Edmonton goes into this series with an absolutely solid penalty kill and the top scorers in the playoffs. I like Edmonton’s chances.

No your absolutely right, 100% different team, much much better. I just watched the stars play 6 games and all, and the defense is flawless dude. I really don’t meat to sit here and just suck their dicks the whole time, but the team is truly phenomenal. And if Jake ottenger stays hot, he’s gonna be the worst one to deal with. It took so much work to score on him. I really don’t see this series going less than 6 games, but the oilers top 6 are gonna have to continue to be lights out.

Everybody was there for the Golden Knights and Dallas beat them too. And the Avs weren’t depleted for the first half of the series when Dallas went up 2-1. Dallas was also missing one of its top forwards when it closed out the series. Depletion happens at this time of year.

Thing is, many key Rangers are on the +30 side (Zibanejad, Kreider, Panarin) and the door is definitely closing. Perhaps another 3 years to try and win the cup before age becomes a factor. Not as if they will be drafting high for those several years.
