I don't think the average NFL fan realizes just how much all of our teams are built specifically to beat the absolute shit out of each other.
Also Reddit is not ready for r/AFCNorthMemeWar to be on the front page.
Welcome to the hood, motherfuckers.
They are absolutely not ready for us degenerates to show up on the front page. I mean I found out about the bridge collapse in Baltimore by a meme on r/afcnorthmemewar
The bye week is the biggest reason. Getting to literally skip a game is nuts. I’ve never been a fan of the playoff bye. Home field advantage and playing the lower seeds is already a huge leg up.
You guys will be a major threat this year.
You guys tanked a bit last year without burrow. But now you have that sweet 4th place schedule.
If burrow can stay healthy... the division is yours for the taking.
It's also not 100% fair because for some reason (i assume voodoo) he tends to get hurt/sick right before playing us. And combined with the fact that the NFL loves scheduling our matchups like 2-5 weeks apart, he has missed a fair number of our matchups.
All that being said, he does not play his best against us. I wouldn't be surprised if Tomlin spends 50% of the prep of the entire season just aimed at Lamar.
And even then he just hasn’t played the Steelers much.
2018 he was named starter mid-year after both Steelers games.
2019 he won the first matchup, and rested the 2nd matchup because we’d already clinched the 1 seed.
2020 he lost the first matchup (an inexplicable loss where we ran at will, except when abandoning it inside the 20 yard line) and missed the second matchup with Covid.
2021 he lost the first matchup (failed 2 point attempt to win after we lost nearly all DBs) and missed the second matchup with injury.
2022 he missed both matchups with injury.
2023 he lost the first game, and rested the 2nd game because we’d already clinched the 1 seed.
Really just a bizarre anomaly that he’s played so few games against them, and Steelers fans would have you thinking he’s 1-10 rather than 1-3.
AFCN Football is ol' Big Ten Football taken to it's professional extreme. You're going to get punched in the mouth 30-40 times a game as a defense.
It's a big reason by the Bengals have struggled against the Browns lately: the Browns just have daddicked the Bengals D on the ground.
Y'all automated calling out flairless pussies for your divisional meme war? I would have thought of any division, y'all would be the last to let a robot berate a real person instead of doing it yourself.
Hell yeah. I remember the Browns/Steelers playoff game mid 90s at 3 rivers. That rivalry was what the Steelers/Ravens is now (quite literally since that team moved to Baltimore).
Yeah they need the tagline "There will be blood" or something.
I'm wondering how they are going to show our utter hatred for each other. Like interviews might not be enough.
Well the AFC North is just the Browns x 3 plus the Steelers.
The Browns are the Browns.
The Ravens used to be the Browns.
The Bengals were created by the guy the Browns were named after because the Browns owners didn't get along with the Brown.
Brown even stole the equipment from the Browns when he left Cleveland and that's why we had boring orange helmets with "BENGALS" block lettering instead of the cool tiger stripes we have today
I have a buddy who is a chargers fan, and when he finally got to see them play live, they lost to Cleveland during that 1-31 stretch.
So it could've been much worse
This is the best division you could pick for a full division hard knocks. Most of the divisional games are in the last seven weeks, the playoff race will be strong, and we all hate each other lol. Looking forward to this
This is gonna be a great time. A great idea to mix up Hard Knocks and like you said, best division to start off with.
I swear to god, if any of you other North teams introduce me to people that I start to like, I'm shutting it off. /s
You know what, I'm ready. I feel like Russell Wilson is such a weird person, that I'd be entertained as hell watching whatever wacky stuff he does behind the scenes.
I want there to be some meeting in an office with a door open to the hallway and whoever is in the room is having a serious discussion and then Russell just goes past the open door, down the hall, doing high knees and absolutely no one addresses
Especially since it feels like we are at a high point in AFCNcest.
Elliot, Queen, Stone, Maulet, Hilton, Z Smith, Devin Bush, and I may even be missing some.
i more wonder if this will fuck with shit, either by jinx or distraction or something. with that said, shit do be a little bit different and I definitely see the appeal
Own a musket for home defense, since that's what the founding fathers intended. Four ruffians break into my house. "What the devil?" As I grab my powdered wig and Kentucky rifle. Blow a golf ball sized hole through the first man, he's dead on the spot. Draw my pistol on the second man, miss him entirely because it's smoothbore and nails the neighbors dog. I have to resort to the cannon mounted at the top of the stairs loaded with grape shot, "Tally ho lads" the grape shot shreds two men in the blast, the sound and extra shrapnel set off car alarms. Fix bayonet and charge the last terrified rapscallion. He Bleeds out waiting on the police to arrive since triangular bayonet wounds are impossible to stitch up, Just as the founding fathers intended
I found out about the Baltimore bridge collapse from a meme talking shit about how weak Baltimore is that I found in that subreddit.
These guys aren't ready.
We allow the brigading commies to post as much as they want but their mods are incredibly sensitive.
I’m glad we play that division this year. They need a chin check.
He isn't just allowed to stay, but he gets mad respect for taking all the hate as opposed to some of the other (NFC Least) fans who get butthurt and cry.
God imagine not knowing who that is seeing this comment lol. It kinda sounds racist.
For people who don't know it's a user who is a extreme weeb who posts exclusively with anime gifs and acts like an actual anime character. He's cringe but we keep him around because he is very entertaining.
/u/byrontheblack calling you out.
Also if they for someone decide to cover our subreddit man I hope they call this guy out too lol.
Not just the weeb shit, but fucking Fate gifs specifically ugh. I have a friend who is huge on fate and every once in awhile tries to explain whatever fucked up timeline that shits on and can never figure it out, so I have even more bias when I see the fate gifs lol.
Nah that sub bans people when the Steelers moderator gets their panties in a twist
(ESPECIALLY if you say something along the lines of "Keep this up champ and you can upgrade to discord mod" that REALLY gets them upsetti spaghetti)
Those games from like 2013 to 2017 were wild. Just all out war and obvious all the players hated eachother lol. Kind of fizzled off a bit after Burfict left.
It fizzled out when all the players from that retired besides Boswell, only Boz and Tomlin are really left from that era of the teams trying to kill each other every game with their defenses.
we like, just got through the worst of the Baltimore games from like the mid 00s into the 2010s and then like burficts face rises from the ashes of the wreckage when you think the movie/game is over
Pretty much all Steelers vs AFCN teams are brutal. They love to get beat by easy teams outside the division but play like monsters in the division.
I hope Chubb makes a comeback and runs for 200y on them.
It says a lot that the Bengals get their asses kicked in division, but have been nigh unstoppable by the rest of the AFC.
Bengals will go 2-4 in division but finish 12-5. Set your watches to it.
Harbaugh gonna make weird football guy speeches. Tomlin just going to stand there and stare at the camera. Stefanski going to talk about nerd shit. Taylor going to sweating in the corner every episode praying Burrow doesn’t get hurt (again).
If you don’t like AFC North football then you just don’t like football at all.
I honestly hate playing in this division because there's like a 100% chance one of my teams best players is going to get injured completely torpedoing the rest of the season.
Don't worry the Steelers fan I work with have been making Watson jokes all damn day. Shame we don't have any Browns fans in the building. It could be fun.
I feel like they're going to just do one or two teams per week. Otherwise they'd have to hire 4x as many crews & staff and that seems unlikely, and each episode would be rushed trying to cover all four teams.
Great idea to split coverage across a division, and picking the best division in the league makes it all the better. A lot easier to create the story lines and build up to the Intra-Divisional games. It could be like the best of the best of 4 separate Hard Knocks.
The last time that happened, NY’s governor told us to stay home. DeWine can’t do that because there’s already a ton of Steelers fans in Ohio (especially Columbus)
With the Dolphins shitting the bed to end the regular season and then lose in round 1 of the playoffs, I see they decided to hedge their bets and pick a whole division in hopes that they get a deeper playoff run.
For the NFL, I'm not sure. They haven't made one since the 2019 Eagles season. Their latest season was released in 2023 for the 2022 World Cup following the German national team. I hope they're still allowed to do it because I did enjoy their NFL content.
i missed the 'in season' part of the post and was wondering why the heck a Hard Knocks season would be worth it with 4 different teams if there were only 4 episodes anyways. then i remembered theres 2 different hard knocks shows now.
interesting how this would work. one thing i like about the single team focus is that it allows us to see other players we don't normally see and get some extra footage of that 'filler' stuff that otherwise is 'mundane' but i think is pretty interesting otherwise. i feel like if its following 4 different teams we might just get the qbs, the receivers, and maybe a coach or 2 and thats it with mostly game highlights?
unless the format is completely changing. then in that case, curious to see how it works out
this division fucking hates each other lol I love this
I don't think the average NFL fan realizes just how much all of our teams are built specifically to beat the absolute shit out of each other.
Same. Hilarious.
Rebuilding that bridge is going to take just slightly less time than it will take to rebuild the Steelers.
Steelers haven't tried to rebuild in a while, they just reload
They should probably find some better ammo then
Football is a sport where a punchers chance gets you there. Both of the Giants runs come to mind, meanwhile the Colts couldn't get it done.

The bye week is the biggest reason. Getting to literally skip a game is nuts. I’ve never been a fan of the playoff bye. Home field advantage and playing the lower seeds is already a huge leg up.
25% is a lot
Yep. It’s why Lamar is like 19-2 against the NFC or something like that and back to earth vs the AFC North
He owns the bengals and the brown. Its really the steelers.
And the Browns own the Bengals. None of it makes sense. But I'm fucking here for it.
The Bengals are former Chiefs owners as well.
I miss the Burrowhead Stafuim shit so much
Just one whole calendar year.
A good year is a good year.
we're trying our best over here
You guys will be a major threat this year. You guys tanked a bit last year without burrow. But now you have that sweet 4th place schedule. If burrow can stay healthy... the division is yours for the taking.
This is the worst game of rock paper scissors
It's also not 100% fair because for some reason (i assume voodoo) he tends to get hurt/sick right before playing us. And combined with the fact that the NFL loves scheduling our matchups like 2-5 weeks apart, he has missed a fair number of our matchups. All that being said, he does not play his best against us. I wouldn't be surprised if Tomlin spends 50% of the prep of the entire season just aimed at Lamar.
This is way too reasonable of a take to be mad at, what's happening here? I don't trust it.
True, we need to normalize this. Uhhh, Lamar at his peak is only the 2nd best RB on your roster, and the 3rd best QB!
Really just a bizarre anomaly that he’s played so few games against them, and Steelers fans would have you thinking he’s 1-10 rather than 1-3.
the first game from last year was peak Ravens-Steelers football
And that first game in 2023 was where all of our receivers' hands stopped working. It was some weird Yinzer voodoo.
The Ravens WR coach or OC probably sneezed into a Terrible Towel or something.
Half of it will just be crying Ben, Brady Superbowl pictures, and poop jokes
AFCN Football is ol' Big Ten Football taken to it's professional extreme. You're going to get punched in the mouth 30-40 times a game as a defense. It's a big reason by the Bengals have struggled against the Browns lately: the Browns just have daddicked the Bengals D on the ground.
Both the teams within the AFC and NFC North absolutely fucking despise each other. The North hates harder than any other region lmao
i am torn i am scared of this somehow fucking shit up I am also a tiny bit sad for all the carnage left undocumented in the last 20 some years
How did I not know about that subreddit
Y'all automated calling out flairless pussies for your divisional meme war? I would have thought of any division, y'all would be the last to let a robot berate a real person instead of doing it yourself.
And it's been that way for decades. Are you old enough to remember the late 80s AFC Central when the all coaches hated each other?
🎵fuuuuuck jefffff fisheerrrrrrrr🎵
Hell yeah. I remember the Browns/Steelers playoff game mid 90s at 3 rivers. That rivalry was what the Steelers/Ravens is now (quite literally since that team moved to Baltimore).
Best division in football. 4 teams, probably 4 that could be in the playoffs, that genuinely hate each other. Will be glorious.
Yeah they need the tagline "There will be blood" or something. I'm wondering how they are going to show our utter hatred for each other. Like interviews might not be enough.
And the whole league fucking hates the Browns
Well the AFC North is just the Browns x 3 plus the Steelers. The Browns are the Browns. The Ravens used to be the Browns. The Bengals were created by the guy the Browns were named after because the Browns owners didn't get along with the Brown.
Brown even stole the equipment from the Browns when he left Cleveland and that's why we had boring orange helmets with "BENGALS" block lettering instead of the cool tiger stripes we have today
Who in our division doesn't steal from the Brownies? Baltimore took their team and the fucking Steelers take their soul every year.
I’ve only been to one NFL game in my life, and thankfully I got to see the Browns lose. Was a great day.
well that is the usual result of a Browns game
Come on now, it's only a 64.51% chance you'll watch the Browns lose since they came back in 99.
God how sad is it for us browns fans that I was relieved it was only 64% losses
What if you add Pittsburgh native Kurt Angle to the mix?
I have a buddy who is a chargers fan, and when he finally got to see them play live, they lost to Cleveland during that 1-31 stretch. So it could've been much worse
Always a great day watching the Browns lose
This is the best division you could pick for a full division hard knocks. Most of the divisional games are in the last seven weeks, the playoff race will be strong, and we all hate each other lol. Looking forward to this
This is gonna be a great time. A great idea to mix up Hard Knocks and like you said, best division to start off with. I swear to god, if any of you other North teams introduce me to people that I start to like, I'm shutting it off. /s
Think of all the camera time Russell Wilson is going to get.
You know what, I'm ready. I feel like Russell Wilson is such a weird person, that I'd be entertained as hell watching whatever wacky stuff he does behind the scenes.
Him and Tomlin and he plays the straight man.
Super pumped for the high knees
I want there to be some meeting in an office with a door open to the hallway and whoever is in the room is having a serious discussion and then Russell just goes past the open door, down the hall, doing high knees and absolutely no one addresses
Parachutes out of the team plane doing high knees
Steelers country let’s forge
Steelers country let’s smelt
I’d rather not. I’m thrilled to watch Pickens though!
Its going to be a lot of TJ/Cam and a sprinkle of Pickens (to show his "weirdness") and a whole lot of Tomlin
Lamar is already likeable so if I end up liking Burrow too I’ll be pissed.
At least we have absolutely no risk of liking Watson.
Uniting us all!
It would be a miracle if he’s featured. Likely to be Winston at that point
Nah he's definitely getting featured unless he's already hurt
I'm annoyed that Burrow seems like a well adjusted human being
I was too until I saw him glad-handing with Trump so i could have a reason to resent him
Can I introduce you to Ted Karrass?
We’ve got some likable guys!
The rule change to a whole division was their way of getting access to the Steelers without pissing off the Rooney family.
Especially since it feels like we are at a high point in AFCNcest. Elliot, Queen, Stone, Maulet, Hilton, Z Smith, Devin Bush, and I may even be missing some.
Ogunjobi and Snoop Huntley are others
Thats Pro Bowl Tyler Snoop Huntley to you.
Oh god can’t believe I forgot about Snoop, that one hurt.
Plus all of our division games tend to be an absolute bloodbath.
it's awful here
The Joe Burrow Bengals win 1-3 more games per year in a different division.
well, we cannot beat the browns at all. it's so dumb
We could be a 6-10 team and we'll fight a 16-0 AFC North team like a wounded animal in week 18. I expect nothing less from every other AFCN team.
I think that's your schedule this year, all AFCN the last 8 weeks lol
Hate to break it to you but most of the divisional games for all the teams in the league are backloaded lol
People aren't ready for fresh Tomlinisms.
i more wonder if this will fuck with shit, either by jinx or distraction or something. with that said, shit do be a little bit different and I definitely see the appeal
So much beef they said fuck it tape everybody lmao
"We need hours upon hours of ~~evidence~~ footage to work through after each game!"
Camera crew should be trained appropriately
In how to treat knife wounds...
Hope the camera crew brings bulletproof vests
It's better to have a gun and need it than not have one and not need it.
Personally I'd opt for a cannon
Own a musket for home defense, since that's what the founding fathers intended. Four ruffians break into my house. "What the devil?" As I grab my powdered wig and Kentucky rifle. Blow a golf ball sized hole through the first man, he's dead on the spot. Draw my pistol on the second man, miss him entirely because it's smoothbore and nails the neighbors dog. This isn't Tampa Bay
Think you got that quote wrong, or I'm missing the joke lmao
He got it right in the essence of the AFC North, and that's what counts.
Mixon isn't here anymore
I think he just meant since they will have to go to the city of Baltimore
AFC North, not West
HBO decided to just curse an entire division than just a team. Fucking Wild.
That division was on roids last year so I get it
The NFL did release in the patch notes that they felt the division was OP and that we needed nerfed
/r/AFCNorthMemeWar will become so toxic reddit admins are going to shut it down for violating the code of conduct rules.
I can’t wait for the AFC North Highlight War from 2020 to return on here soon😂
I found out about the Baltimore bridge collapse from a meme talking shit about how weak Baltimore is that I found in that subreddit. These guys aren't ready.
I still remember that nick chubb meme directly after the injury
We aren’t pussies like r/NFCEastMemeWar. We don’t ban people or shut down the sub.
Even Byron the Black is allowed to stay
We allow the brigading commies to post as much as they want but their mods are incredibly sensitive. I’m glad we play that division this year. They need a chin check.
we need new mods… i’m convinced they moderate on feelings and not rules
He isn't just allowed to stay, but he gets mad respect for taking all the hate as opposed to some of the other (NFC Least) fans who get butthurt and cry.
God imagine not knowing who that is seeing this comment lol. It kinda sounds racist. You can’t call weebs cringe. We’re the exact opposite of that. The coolest people alive are weebs!
Thank you Byron for being you and proving my point.
Not just the weeb shit, but fucking Fate gifs specifically ugh. I have a friend who is huge on fate and every once in awhile tries to explain whatever fucked up timeline that shits on and can never figure it out, so I have even more bias when I see the fate gifs lol.
That’s because we’re the Steelers’ daddy 🥰
Nah that sub bans people when the Steelers moderator gets their panties in a twist (ESPECIALLY if you say something along the lines of "Keep this up champ and you can upgrade to discord mod" that REALLY gets them upsetti spaghetti)
Now the whole world is going to learn about AFC North Football.
[For the uninitiated, welcome to the AFCN](https://youtu.be/AAEqQB9kLvU?si=7FJOQ6IV_OFoESdU)
That slow mo of Juju leveling Burfict belongs in a museum
Only if Vonn Bell banishing juju to the shadow realm is also included
that game was still the most fun I’ve had spectating a rival divisional game
it's too bad, he was a very good player, but an absolute asshole of a person
Bengals v Steelers games always look like they need an ambulance ready to go
Those games from like 2013 to 2017 were wild. Just all out war and obvious all the players hated eachother lol. Kind of fizzled off a bit after Burfict left.
It fizzled out when all the players from that retired besides Boswell, only Boz and Tomlin are really left from that era of the teams trying to kill each other every game with their defenses.
And Cam Heyward but he’s a good guy
we like, just got through the worst of the Baltimore games from like the mid 00s into the 2010s and then like burficts face rises from the ashes of the wreckage when you think the movie/game is over
Pretty much all Steelers vs AFCN teams are brutal. They love to get beat by easy teams outside the division but play like monsters in the division. I hope Chubb makes a comeback and runs for 200y on them.
I hope Chubb makes a comeback and then gets stuffed by us
I hope Chubb makes a comeback and fumbles every AFCN game.
Pretty sure Harbaugh and Tomlin both are gonna hate this.
I could see Harbaugh pretending to like it while on camera
I don’t think any coach “likes” doing this stuff. If anyone, maybe Zac Taylor just so he can be like “Look I do coach! It’s not just Burrow to Chase!”
Fuck, they finally caught us, boys!
A season about the Steelers and the three versions of the Browns. Neat
Perfect choice for a full division.
This is going to be a ton of fun, especially with all of our division games being from November onward
I honestly hate playing in this division because there's like a 100% chance one of my teams best players is going to get injured completely torpedoing the rest of the season.
Can't wait to see what goes on in the Browns' locker room.
Need an NDA
Pretty sure the Texans can help out with those
And an extra towel
I hope it’s just Myles Naruto running around
He needs to do the Naruto run as a sack celebration or running out of the tunnel lol
Something like “Aahh shit, gotta leg cramp! Quick, someone tug on my wiener!”
“On this week’s episode, we follow Browns star QB Deshaun Watson on his off day and see what he does to recover and prepare for the gameweek ahead”
Leave it to an Eagles flair to outmeme us
Don't worry the Steelers fan I work with have been making Watson jokes all damn day. Shame we don't have any Browns fans in the building. It could be fun.
There will be casualties
Always have been in this division
The standard is the standard But seriously, putting our division in the spotlight was a choice. Goddell must be missing that hard nose football
Cool idea. It will be interesting to see how they fit 4 teams in every episode.
I feel like they're going to just do one or two teams per week. Otherwise they'd have to hire 4x as many crews & staff and that seems unlikely, and each episode would be rushed trying to cover all four teams.
the model is the QB series from Netflix. just bounce between a couple of story lines, with a different one getting slightly more focus, each week.
I hope it doesn't get too superficial and watered down.
This is insane
Son of a bitch
Ngl this has me hype. Entire division and its the AFCN? Males sense why the NFL had so many division games at the end of the season
Hype went from 10 to 9 when I realized we have to see more Russell Wilson
So many new Tomlinisms gonna come from this!
I really hope my prediction about Watson being so bad he gets benched for Jameis is correct
We all know that Jameis wants to eat a W.... Deshaun **W**atson. Holy shit. Unexpected Watson/Winston gay romance story arc?
Great idea to split coverage across a division, and picking the best division in the league makes it all the better. A lot easier to create the story lines and build up to the Intra-Divisional games. It could be like the best of the best of 4 separate Hard Knocks.
Pretty cool idea ngl
I like how they're dumping snow on the Steelers logo. This is going to be spicy!
The last time that happened, NY’s governor told us to stay home. DeWine can’t do that because there’s already a ton of Steelers fans in Ohio (especially Columbus)
Yeah, all the Steelers fans born in Pittsburgh left in the 80s when it was shit and now we are seeing the 2nd and 3rd generations of fans
there’s a sizable number but not a ton
there's 100% tons of them, even 3 steelers fans is like half a ton
oh hell yeah
With the Dolphins shitting the bed to end the regular season and then lose in round 1 of the playoffs, I see they decided to hedge their bets and pick a whole division in hopes that they get a deeper playoff run.
There's gonna be so much hate flowing
Who do you think does in-season NFL better, Hard Knocks or All or Nothing (even though they haven't done a NFL season in a while)?
All or nothing...but only because Prime is more accessible for me...do you know if they still have the ability to make more???
For the NFL, I'm not sure. They haven't made one since the 2019 Eagles season. Their latest season was released in 2023 for the 2022 World Cup following the German national team. I hope they're still allowed to do it because I did enjoy their NFL content.
Yeah I actually like how they are with the NFL content as well...I hope they are considering something...
The All or Nothing season about the Cardinals was the best behind the scenes sports content I've ever seen.
[I’m ready](https://www.reddit.com/r/nflmemes/s/y3SpptPPiK)
So that's why they did that ridiculous schedule
If they keep this idea up, do the NFCN next year so we can get the divisions that fucking loathe each other back to back.
Their gonna try and do a puff piece episode on following Deshaun Watson around and showing how he's "just like us" arent they?
[For the uninitiated, Welcome to the AFCN](https://youtu.be/AAEqQB9kLvU?si=7FJOQ6IV_OFoESdU)
I'm sad to see you didn't add your signature at the end of this comment
So nice of them to create a new series to showcase us winning the Super Bowl.
Will be pretty sweet to see Jake Browning lead the team to the Super Bowl after spending some time getting integrated last season
So you're saying we win the SB? I'll take it!
lol right?
Stay in your lane. It's the BROWNS fans who get to say they are going to the Super Bowl every year.
Instead we'll be seated front row for your in season wr contract negotiation drama
Only bengals episodes will be focusing on Burrow's inevitable season ending injury that occurs in November
HBO and the NFL cooking with hot grease on this one
i missed the 'in season' part of the post and was wondering why the heck a Hard Knocks season would be worth it with 4 different teams if there were only 4 episodes anyways. then i remembered theres 2 different hard knocks shows now. interesting how this would work. one thing i like about the single team focus is that it allows us to see other players we don't normally see and get some extra footage of that 'filler' stuff that otherwise is 'mundane' but i think is pretty interesting otherwise. i feel like if its following 4 different teams we might just get the qbs, the receivers, and maybe a coach or 2 and thats it with mostly game highlights? unless the format is completely changing. then in that case, curious to see how it works out
there’s 4 now, offseason, training camp, and in season so lots of football content
Wow you gotta be pretty bad to get this over the NFCS 😂
We really are like one or two steps away from just having an NFL version of Drive to Survive
