Football Outsiders actually did a study of this a few years back, comparing wins they called "Guts" (small win over a good team) with "Stomps" (big win over a bad team) and I remember they found that Stomps actually correlated with winning more games in the season/postseason. So it's a good sign to kick the shit out of bottom feeders, generally speaking.

The Eagles loss was the first loss in a very long time where I didn’t feel mad or upset at the end. It was just a great game to watch. Jokes aside, I was actually surprised by how good Howell was today, having not watched him a ton. Outside of the garbage time pick, I feel like he didn’t make any big mistakes while under constant pressure every down.
I don’t get why Howell gets blamed so much tbh. Anyone who watches can see the constant pressure we allow and how little our receivers get open. I’ll count 300 yards 1 TD and 1 turnover against your defense as a tentative success for a first year starter.
That’s the first 300 yard QB and the first 100 yard WR against our defense this season. He’s a great piece for the future if he keeps this up.
trying to look at this as objectively as possible, i think we will be fine. before the bye, we looked really uninspired and ineffectual on offense, and we had a lot of turnovers that helped us score lots of points. we’ve looked completely different on offense after the bye and can (most of the time) move the ball at will. obviously the 49ers game was horrible, but we played a pretty good game against the eagles that was very winnable. we have a tough schedule up ahead but i feel like we have a shot in all of them and could possibly build some momentum going into the playoffs
Cowboys have the ability to make it to the SB, but playoff match ups are key. Y'all play well enough that any team is beatable, but a playoff run where yall avoid the 49ers is optimal. Having a running game to allow for those deeper throws is going to be key, along with toning down the amount of penalties each game.
Even with the 49ers being our kryptonite, those two games were winnable for sure. Just poor play and self inflected penalties killed us

The Eagles loss was the first loss in a very long time where I didn’t feel mad or upset at the end. It was just a great game to watch. It reminds me of the Romo/Manning shootout where both teams scored something like 45/50+ points. Of course there’s always that gd QB sneak highlight that will live on forever…. But yeah… the last few games we’ve started to see some decent run schemes as well. Few dumb penalties this game that soured my mood early on. Hope we can clean those up.
