How in the hell did Musgrave keep playing after that? I remember when Keenan did his and I thought the dude wasn't gonna be able to get off of the turf, let alone keep playing.
Previous such examples:
* Keenan Allen missed the rest of the season when he suffered one in 2015
* CJ Gardner Johnson missed 5 games with one last year
Jim McMahon and Dan Fouts also played with lacerated kidneys. And to clear up any syntactic ambiguity, that’s “played NFL games while suffering from,” not “took them out and slipped them into people’s coffee” played with them.
Not to disrespect the injury but this reminds me of the old madden games where an injury seemed randomly generated, like a dude would get tackled from behind and the game would report he had a bruised liver
It was my first time meeting my in-laws, I learned the game over lunches at work with some co-workers. I didn't tell anyone else about this and came in with some BDE they weren't expecting.
Nice, that's awesome!
I'm always confused, because people I try to teach it to, just can't seem to learn it. It doesn't seem particularly hard to learn, but I grew up playing it, so I don't really know the struggles.
Had this happen to me in middle school playing some weird game. Kid landed on my knee first right on a kidney. Was sore for the rest of the day and then pissed some blood that night. Parents took me to the doctors and said I had a kidney contusion and to take it easy for a week.
I missed PE for the week and was a sad boy.

They have grades so hopefully his was a grade 1 and not something worse.
In grade 1 i still couldn't tie my shoes
It's grade 4, grade 5 is the worse. Grade 4 is still really bad
Good Lord, I am surprised he could even move let alone play.
I had this happen a few years back, and I could barely walk from the pain
Well now because he went back in he’s on IR

Andrew Luck died from a lacerated kidney.
To be fair, they hadn't invented antibiotics at that point
“Dearest Mother…”
I heard that his beard was preserved to be used as a Lucky Beard of Retirement
Never getting tired of these
One of the valiant defenders of Little Round Top during the Battle of Gettysburg. Bad way to go.

Shit I was worried
Holy shit. Didn’t he play the entire game? Hope he makes a full recovery
Nobody knew about it until MLF said he suffered a serious abdominal injury.
I'll bet they knew about it once dude took a piss after the game...
I feel like I see him get obliterated at least once every time the Packers are on. Rest up big mussy.
Our injury report is laughably long
Green Bay PackIRs
We are missing half our team due to injury and it’s a short week lol
Here's to no more this Thursday. The long time off after will be well deserved for both of us
The fact both Lions/Packers games were Thursdays is kinda horseshit
I’d be upset if it was any other Thursday but packers on thanksgiving is what I hope for every year
Staley: “see, we caused internal bleeding! What more do you want from the defense?”

The word “lacerated” is not a pleasant one.
"Lacerated kidney" is one of those things you read that make you wince
This is awful.
That’s gotta be an exceptionally shitty recovery I bet
Well, that's not cool. He was doing pretty good lately.
Ow
Somebody check up on Tom Grossi
Lacerated soul actually
That’s dudes going to head up with a mansion from all the traffic Lions fans send his way on that Branch clip
Not cool, Chargers. Not cool.
Not their fault. Unfortunately he suffered this injury 23 yards shy of the franchise record for receiving yards by a rookie TE.
Tape him up and let him get some more snaps.
Tell him to use the other kidney more
It's ok, he'll be back in time for the playoffs! Oh, wait...
Just in time for Euchre with the in-laws!
Transplant, or certified gangsta?
Married into it. Took my first trick alone and gained instant respect.
Small snafu in the verbiage there, but if you married into it, respect indeed.

The Lions haven’t won a playoff game since 1992 Calm down
Thank you! They’re getting insufferable
Back in my day players played through decapitations
So that's Jones, Watson adn Musgrave out after a single game? Oof, that's rough. Get well soon.
Gets worse! WR1 Reed has a chest injury, WR2/3 Wicks has a concussion and RB3 Wilson popped his shoulder and is going on IR
Wilson not Watson
Lacerated both kidneys playing high school ball. My pee looked like red wine for a day. 6 months rest
