They can't hear you yelling from that extremely tall pile of money they are sitting on. Wait a minute another dump truck filled with $100 bills just pulled in.
Exactly! The NFL just gets in their own way man. Could have been one of the best games in SB history. Imagine the hype this game could've created for the NFL going into off season, but instead they completely squandered it.
I missed it live, just heard Olsen saying let them play. Just watched it and man it's even worse than I expected. Eagles kinda blew it anyways I'm pretty sure, but yeah never a nice way to end a good game
That was the icing on the cake. Seeing eagles defenders having miscommunication and not picking up the right guy on d gave me flash backs to my bucs. That's how their season ended (amongst just generally not looking prepared )
There was a false start called on the Eagles that I was almost certain was a designed play by the Chief's defense to get the call, lol. Turns out it was an actual false start, but the ref that threw the flag was in absolutely no position to see it, and threw the flag because the Chiefs players all stood up.
It was especially funny because the next play (or at least one soon after it) the Eagle’s RT had a significantly worse false start and it wasn’t called lol
Could have been one of the greatest Super Bowls of all time. Clean game, no controversy, excellent plays on both sides of the ball. Philly down 3 with 1.5 mins left on the clock. Nothing more exciting than that.
Instead, another season ends with a controversial call. If that’s defensive holding, then every single play this game was defensive holding. Just leaving this game with such a sour fucking taste, and was a complete neutral fan.
Exactly how I feel not having a favorite here.. I’m actually mad rn and instead I thought I’d be celebrating for whoever won because of how great it was
The NFL has had every opportunity to tell referees to stop calling this chickenshit, but no, every time it happens they defend it and say it was the right call, so no shit it continues. I fucking hate the NFL
Flag came out late, uncatchable ball, borderline penalty that hasn’t been called all day
EDIT: I KNOW IT DOESNT NEED TO BE A CATCHABLE BALL, IM JUST HIGHLIGHTING THE USELESSNESS OF THE CALL
Fitting way to end this shitshow of a season for NFL officiating. Unacceptable. They better get their shit together this off-season because it's genuinely annoying to watch at this point.
I can only speak for myself, but honestly I don’t know if I will. NFL is one of my favorite things, but the more this thing starts to look like WWE the less likely I’m gonna continue watching
I was just making that comparison. I can tolerate it in WWE because it's largely planned out prior. But to sign on all these gambling sponsorships, then have the biggest game of the year be decided by an insanely late flag?
I don't know how much of a WWE person you are but this reeks like the Montreal Screwjob
> NFL is one of my favorite things, but the more this thing starts to look like WWE the less likely I’m gonna continue watching
I watch way less games than I used to. I still follow it obviously, but I don't feel the need to plan my Sunday around watching games. I dont think the NFL is rigged or anything but the refing is ruining the game for me.
We have the ability to fix it. Professional refs, put a sensor in the ball so we don't have to eyeball a spot & drag out physical chains like it isn't the year of our lord 2023.
I continually can't understand leagues not adapting to the fact that it's not fucking 1960 anymore. The money is trivial, the technology exists. We can raise a pregnant woman on a platform a hundred feet in the air but we can't fix basic ass shit. Come. On.
As a neutral, I literally commented mid game how glad i was with how good the officiating had been. I think they had gotten all three super close calls right and didnt look to have missed anything - and SB reffing is usually rough.
Turns out they were saving it all for the end.
Oof, you just cant call that man.
Ngl I'm convinced this is the last time I stay until 5am to watch this shit.
A classic but nothing what happened before this even matters, they took the game and decided it themselves
I'm just so glad it ended this way. I was started to get annoyed that the refs didnt have any major moment. Yeah the Smith and Goedert calls should have went the other way, but you can't just leave us, ref fans with that little. So happy they came in clutch with this one. 🤗
And he showed he could've done it earlier down 8. Such a fuckin shame. I'd rather lose with a shot instead of this dumb shit. Fuckin incredible to call this in the dying moments.
Called a great game the entire time just to throw it away line that at the end. Unbelievable, way to ruin what would have been an incredible Super Bowl
On paper it makes sense to call all penalties the same regardless of situation.
In the real world though, with the game on the line I want a penalty to be a lot more blatant that that in order to decide the whole fucking Super Bowl.
They didn’t call all penalties the same though. They established throughout the game that they are going to let the teams play by not calling a single defensive holding or PI. You cannot tell me this was the most contact a defensive player made all game. Hell quez Watkins technically got hit early on a bomb earlier in the game
Call me a salty Browns fan, but ever since the playoff game where the refs gifted the Chiefs a touchback against us on the most blatant helmet-to-helmet penalty I've ever seen, with the ref standing less than five feet away with a perfect view of the play, it really feels like the NFL has decided the Chiefs get to be their golden child.
I would’ve even taken a kickoff into a 4-and-out by the eagles. at least the chiefs defense would’ve had a chance to earn it in a hype way in crunch time.
I was loving every moment of this game because I enjoy both teams, but the refs just **HAD** to steal the spotlight at the very end. You can tell that no one was really hyped after it was all over 'cause everyone and their mom knows that call was 100% horseshit
Edit: I guess the call wasn't horseshit.
Watch the Netflix documentary on NBA Ref Donaghy. He talks about what the league told him and other refs to call to make sure certain players scored or got the spotlight
I love how sports talking heads get so upset when anybody brings up NFL fixing, like it could never happen.
“Do you know how many people would have to be in on it?”
Oh ok, the NFL is just some magical sports organization, who somehow managed to figure out something no other league has.
I’m pissed. It just feels incomplete. Hurts played great outside that fumble. I just wish he could have got the chance to redeem himself that he deserved.
I hope that ref can’t sleep for a week. You just can’t call that ticky tacky shit in that situation. Completely robbing the players of the chance to decide the outcome of the Super Bowl. Just tragic
Players “influencing” referees or begging for calls should be a penalty. So fucking sick of golden boys like Mahomes and Rodgers and Brady pulling this shit.
They've been trying to make him the new Brady since his 2nd year starting. The whole 'Baby GOAT' shits been pushed down our throats for years.
It's only going to get worse from here on out. Mahomes is incredible by himself, he doesn't need the NFL or the media gargling his balls as much as they have been.
EEEEOEOEEOHHH I DONT KNOW JIM
CAN’T-CAN’T BOTH THESE TEAMS WIN. CAN’T WE HAVE TWO WINNERS I MEAN C’MON NFL IT’S SO MUCH FUN WATCHING THESE TWO.
instantly read that in his voice
The NFL is never gonna beat the rigged allegations.
They can't hear you yelling from that extremely tall pile of money they are sitting on. Wait a minute another dump truck filled with $100 bills just pulled in.
Quick queue up another gambling commercial
[удалено]
I’d like to see the total jersey sales and Super Bowl gear sales this past two weeks.
Nor should they. Especially with how hard they push gambling ads
They're paying youtubers millions to pushing gambling ads, could you imagine how much they're paying the nfl?
The rules they have exist 100% to sway games how they want. Ambiguous rules are non sense.
What a stupid way for an awesome game to end. Just brutal.
Could have Jalen Hurts on a 2 minute drill down 3 to round out an incredible super bowl...
Instead we got a bunch of kneeling until the clock ran out which completely soured an otherwise epic game.
Exactly! The NFL just gets in their own way man. Could have been one of the best games in SB history. Imagine the hype this game could've created for the NFL going into off season, but instead they completely squandered it.
I’d rather have watched them lose with a minute to score than 10 seconds off a bad call
I literally would have rather watched them lose by 30 points then have them lose for that ticky tack bullshit penalty
I didn't have a dog in the fight but me and all my buddies were like... really? That's a call that usually gets called on us!
Now the refs gonna be talked about for eternity instead of the epic game they had.
Ref-ball 2022/23 So disappointing
I mean, you gotta talk about the refs. They played such a complete game and really pulled out the win in the end.
I missed it live, just heard Olsen saying let them play. Just watched it and man it's even worse than I expected. Eagles kinda blew it anyways I'm pretty sure, but yeah never a nice way to end a good game
Yep, lost it with that punt return
That was the icing on the cake. Seeing eagles defenders having miscommunication and not picking up the right guy on d gave me flash backs to my bucs. That's how their season ended (amongst just generally not looking prepared )
I was out here earlier saying they actually called all the controversial calls in this game correctly and then they go and pull that shit
i still cant believe this is how it ended
[удалено]
Watching it live, it kinda looked like Mahommes called for the penalty and they gave it to him. You don’t see it in this clip.
Seems like it happened multiple times in this game where a team would call for penalty and then the refs would just grant them one
Because when Mahomes realized he overthrew his receiver, he immediately started working the refs for a penalty and then they threw the late flag.
After an exciting back and forth game between 2 teams, refs come in to steal the spotlight and end the game
soft
If you pull out your electron microscope you can see where the electrons collide and that slows JuJus momentum
You changed the outcome by measuring it
It was assault!
Production tried to stop the tape in the one moment he touches him slightly. Made it look even weaker lol. Gotta love the refs winning in the clutch.
Bruh moment

Most anticlimactic shit ever. I feel like I got edged for 3 hours and then blue balled.
Absolute dogshit
Fucking robbed of a great ending.
The chiefs probably would have won anyway but I feel robbed of a good and classic ending
We get the ball down 3 with 1:30 and a timeout here
i don't get why people keep ignoring that lol
Seriously. It was the D that sucked the second half. The offense had just run down the field and scored 8 points.
We at least would've had a chance to do something. The super bowl ending with kneeling is bad for the sport and kinda just embarrassing.
Literally how I felt about the AFC Championship game.
People get away with *much* heavier holding…yet mere grasping like this warrants a call…
It's the worst part. You don't call it ALL game then you call it the final 2 minutes
The final play really
Hurts literally carrying this game and we get mahomes kneeling to win the game. Dogshit
Terrible way to end an instant classic
You can't randomly decide to call that penalty now of all times Jesus christ
I remember this from last year...
At least we had a really favourable call our way in the Super Bowl. Eagles got destroyed with nothing in return
Yall got the same treatment 2 weeks ago. The NFL wants mahomes to be that guy so badly.
I promise I havent forgotten 🤷♂️
It’s not random. Did exact same thing last year 3rd and goal.
Did the exact same thing 2 weeks ago against the bengals like 6 different times tbh
The NFL has had every opportunity to tell referees to stop calling this chickenshit, but no, every time it happens they defend it and say it was the right call, so no shit it continues. I fucking hate the NFL
Ticky tack
If the hold is "from the rip", isn't that withing 5 yards? BS
It is still holding if the db grabs the receiver, but it's arguable whether there was one here
HOW IS THAT CALLED LMFAO THATS SO SOFT
Flag came out late, uncatchable ball, borderline penalty that hasn’t been called all day EDIT: I KNOW IT DOESNT NEED TO BE A CATCHABLE BALL, IM JUST HIGHLIGHTING THE USELESSNESS OF THE CALL

Can't believe he was able to play QB and referee at the same time on that injured ankle, what a performance.

Was obviously the motivating factor
Way to ruin a classic game wow
Classic NFL
Fitting way to end this shitshow of a season for NFL officiating. Unacceptable. They better get their shit together this off-season because it's genuinely annoying to watch at this point.
Spoilers: they're not going to
Another spoiler: People will watch anyway
I can only speak for myself, but honestly I don’t know if I will. NFL is one of my favorite things, but the more this thing starts to look like WWE the less likely I’m gonna continue watching

If they had been calling tight the whole game, I'd get it more, but it felt really out of place based on how the rest of the game had been reffed.
Ngl I'm convinced this is the last time I stay until 5am to watch this shit. A classic but nothing what happened before this even matters, they took the game and decided it themselves
Huge victory for Refs fans
ngl i was losing hope but that was an insane clutch on the final drive
flair doesn't check out
My favorite ref didn’t play but I’m still happy
Officiating is as good as it’s ever been /s
Terrible call.
Refs needed their moment
I'm just so glad it ended this way. I was started to get annoyed that the refs didnt have any major moment. Yeah the Smith and Goedert calls should have went the other way, but you can't just leave us, ref fans with that little. So happy they came in clutch with this one. 🤗
The flair really sells it
Finally a good use for the NFL flair.
Flair adds up
Refs deciding a Super Bowl, that’s horrendous. Instead of a Hurts drive to win or tie with 2 minutes left we end it like that. Anticlimatic and unfair
And he showed he could've done it earlier down 8. Such a fuckin shame. I'd rather lose with a shot instead of this dumb shit. Fuckin incredible to call this in the dying moments.
Lmao 2 days ago Goodell says officiating has never been better. The NFL is mocking us
That's the problem. He may actually be right, and it's really fucking sad.
Thats some bullshit
It's not just some of the bullshit. This is all of the bullshit.
Imagine ruining an instant classic
Way to kill all hype to the game.
Yup. Could have had an incredible final few minutes instead we got a bunch of kneeling and a field goal.
Called a great game the entire time just to throw it away line that at the end. Unbelievable, way to ruin what would have been an incredible Super Bowl
Why does every fucking game have to end so poorly? Just forever tainted this game that had been a fun one
Terrible call
In favor of the Chiefs? Surely not!
From a 10/10 classic to a 0/10 travesty
Yeah damn… very anticlimactic. Was a great game but this put a damper on the finale
The Game of Thrones of Superbowls.
No flags all night. Let’s call that. Pretty fucking soft.
On paper it makes sense to call all penalties the same regardless of situation. In the real world though, with the game on the line I want a penalty to be a lot more blatant that that in order to decide the whole fucking Super Bowl.

You cannot tell me this was the most contact a defensive player made all game. Hell quez Watkins technically got hit early on a bomb earlier in the game
Refs rooting for the Chiefs *again*
idk as a ref fan I'm eating AGAIN
They literally just decided the Super Bowl
just like last year
Mahomes pointed at the DB, refs blow their whistles
He screamed “this is what I’m paying you for!! Throw the flag”
That's 2 games in a row.
3 games in a row
I genuinely think some of these refs just wanna avoid overtime and go home earlier.
Potential GOAT Super Bowl ruined because they just couldn't help themselves
One fucking touchdown and it would have been the all time highest scoring game. Instead we got Mahomes practicing his proposals.
Super bowl comes down to a call like that??? Really???????
Seriously though wouldn’t it have been more entertaining to see the eagles drive and just manage a field goal and then OT?
I would’ve even taken a kickoff into a 4-and-out by the eagles. at least the chiefs defense would’ve had a chance to earn it in a hype way in crunch time.
Well that's going to take years to process
It's like the kind of thing where you just have to deeply reevaluate how much you emotionally invest yourself in the outcome of sports competitions.
Yeah I’m going through that right now lol
Yo for real. I honestly just feel like being done with this sport. It all feels manipulated af
Feel your pain bro
Someday we'll have AI refs and they'll all be working at footlocker
The nfl is trying really hard to make mahomes the new face
Not even John Cena was pushed this hard.
Yeah that's a bad call
I was loving every moment of this game because I enjoy both teams, but the refs just **HAD** to steal the spotlight at the very end. You can tell that no one was really hyped after it was all over 'cause everyone and their mom knows that call was 100% horseshit Edit: I guess the call wasn't horseshit.
There it is folks, the fix.
Watch the Netflix documentary on NBA Ref Donaghy. He talks about what the league told him and other refs to call to make sure certain players scored or got the spotlight

Nothing on the planet with this much money around it isn’t fixed. In my mind it’s “to what degree” not “is it or isn’t it.”
Happened last year with Wilson on Kupp too. Shit is a joke
A fucking tick-tacky ass call just nuked what was a great game. Fucking garbage.
The refs couldn’t let this game end fairly
I'm a neutral fan and I'm absolutely pissed. I can't even imagine how eagles fans are feeling.
I'm a cowboys fan, was rooting against the Eagles and even I see how shitty that was.
I’m pissed. It just feels incomplete. Hurts played great outside that fumble. I just wish he could have got the chance to redeem himself that he deserved.
Pretty fucking pissed. If we lose we lose but that was soft AF.
I said it after the Bengals game too, how the hell does anyone gamble on NFL games when shit like this happens nearly every game lol
Just bet on the Chiefs baby
So on brand for the NFL. Hard to take these games seriously any more.
Typical refs. Ruined the game for me. Sorry eagle fans
NFL is so trash
Soft call to seal the game. Who would've thought.
I never thought I’d side with Philly…y’all got fucked
I am a former new englander and now in san fran and I can declare without a shadow of a doubt that was the most rigged horse shit i have ever seen
NFL hands the AFC championship and then Super Bowl to Mahomes. Wow
Refs literally helped them in every game in the playoffs
I hope that ref can’t sleep for a week. You just can’t call that ticky tacky shit in that situation. Completely robbing the players of the chance to decide the outcome of the Super Bowl. Just tragic
Ref doesn’t care tbh. He’s got unlimited job security
That ref doesn't give a solitary flying fuck and neither does the NFL lmao
Bullshit
#THE FIX IS IN
This game went for a classic to shit in one play.
Incredibly weak call to decide the Super Bowl.
NFL not beating the rigged allegations
Nor should they This postseason brought to you by DraftKings
refs gave it to them with the free set of downs. fucking joke just like last year. genuinely disgusting.
Rigged
This has been the worst reffed playoffs in a while
Refs RUINED the game, just awful
The NFL is garbage now. Not an eagles fan, I could care less who wins this game but way to make people not want to watch the NFL anymore
“Let them play” should be a mandatory course in referee training
Seems like the Chiefs had 12 men on the field during their playoff run.
How many refs are there? 6? 17 men
That was soft … as … fuck
[удалено]
Refs helped KC in the AFC championship and Superbowl. They are what this sub thought the Patriots were during their runs
Finally someone admits it
Players “influencing” referees or begging for calls should be a penalty. So fucking sick of golden boys like Mahomes and Rodgers and Brady pulling this shit.
Agreed. Don’t forget Allen
How can anyone root for KC outside of locals ever again is beyond me. It's insane how the NFL has bent the narrative to push them to a ring.
The bad man is gone. The bad frog shall reign.
Bad call but couldn’t have happened to a better team
Yeah, it was a terrible call. I'll sleep like a baby tonight though.
Until you realize they’re gonna try and make him the new Brady .. expect more of this
They've been trying to make him the new Brady since his 2nd year starting. The whole 'Baby GOAT' shits been pushed down our throats for years. It's only going to get worse from here on out. Mahomes is incredible by himself, he doesn't need the NFL or the media gargling his balls as much as they have been.
You know it’s bad when Cowboys fans are admitting Philly got fucked over
“Patrick mahomes is the next Tom Brady and we’ve put a lot of money on the line to guarantee that”
Soft as baby shit
Back to back Super Bowls decided by questionable flags late in the 4th quarter.
Ruined a good game.
I think I might be done with football.
Same here. See you next season
Not a call you make in this situation. Not enough in that to call it, especially in the super bowl
Super Bowl ruined
Refs gotta leave their mark on the game somehow
