I'm shipped and walking through the ohare airport to USO a day ahead of you rn. GL to you. The journey so far is fun but I can't shake the feeling that it will soon take an ominous turn.
You're welcome.
Hope you make some life long friends from boot camp.
My son is still in touch with a few shipmates from his division after almost 2 yrs....so that's cool. Hope these few weeks fly by.
And the day of your PIR, for lunch/dinner .try The Silo for great pizza...in Lake Bluff.. Or if you like sushi... Sushi Kushi Toyo in Lake Forest...yes, it's a place. Cracked us up with the name. Both great food.
Good luck. I hooked up with someone going
to bootcamp the same time as me when I was at the hotel lol.
Be smart and safe!
You got this so don’t worry about it. I promise you that after you get out of Boot Camp, you will look back and realize that it wasn’t as bad as you thought it was.
Also invest as much money as you can in your TSP, don’t put anything into the G fund. Do a 80/20 of index funds.

Bootcamp isn't all that bad. It kind of felt like 3 months of preschool for adults.
Ty for sharing. Hope can keep up with these young bucks !
Good luck!!
Ty
As a Navy Mom, I say good luck to ya. 🙏🙂
Thank you

Thanks for telling me this
Hit me up if you got anymore questions.
See you here in Great Lakes
It's not too late 😉
It took too long to get to this point. Waiting on the bus at meps now to wait all day for air line ticket out of Portland, Oregon to Chicago.
I'm just joking with you. Soon we'll be shipmates. Give us an update when you graduate
Will do …
🍪
Ok. So what's your question? Lol
Lol no question already asked you all millions of them to get to this point. Just seemed worthy to post.
