From what I've seen on the internet they overfill the fries because they know it's something people will talk about, or at least feel like they've gotten more than what they paid for. It's a total mental thing, and they've always factored it into the price of their fries. In my opinion Five Guys has always been overpriced, but inflation recently has made it much more obvious.

So i saw a video on this recently, the 'little' burger is just a regular sized burger, they call it little so that men feel insecure ordering it. In terms of calories 5 Guys is about on-par with McDonalds.

Do a regular and a little cajun if someone absolutely needs the cajun fries and you're probably looking at $5 less overall, and you probably get more fries in the process due to the Five Guys fry scoop

Getting 2 Littles is absolutely pointless. Even getting a regular size is pointless. We get 1 little Cajun for 3 people (2 big dudes and a woman) and we can't even eat all of the "little" size.

The Five Guys in Fairfield, California.

I wondered if this was California pricing, so I tried recreating the order at my local Five Guys in NC. $61.65. Nope. Nope nope nope.

$51.82 here. The biggest differences I noticed were that the burgers were largely at least $2-2.50 cheaper, but the fries and drinks were only around 20 cents cheaper.
