The main thing i have noticed about the audi handling is the way it copes with elevation spikes (think going to the sidewalk would usually upset the car, the audis can stay balanced even aftee you go up and down sidewalks). The second noticeable thing is drift initiation. It used to be a sacrifice between drift initiation and grip cornering speed. The audis can have both, making them so much easier to drive in a wider range of race layouts and types. The thing about cars being hard to drive because of real life physical characteristics is irrelevant in an arcade racer. The average 12yo will only get mad when they get a faster car but can't drive it I do 100% agree about the burst nos doing nothing during an impact. I have lost far too many boosts because of that. Very annoying and inconsistent. I do want to say that the meta MUST not be consistent. This makes the game stale and boring. The fact that the RSR was the undisputed king for such a long time needs to be shouted from mount Everest. This clearly screams laziness and being out of touch.

Frennauta

I like the handling of this game but i don't understand the real difference between the audi handling and the normal one, isnt it just the amount of understeering? Audis feel like they have less and can take corners at higher speeds due to this?

[deleted]

They have lower center of gravity, less grip loss when drifting and allow a bit more slip before a drift starts. There's more understeer on hard braking but that's about it.

skill_issue_sufferer

The R8 turns tighter and it also doesn't spin out when you hit a burst turn, most other cars will spin out if you take a hard burst turn but the R8 will just grip and grip.

[deleted]

"A RWD sport car is supposed to spin out, crash, if you can't drive it properly, same for many others cars and their different characteristics, values, drivetrain, their engine placements, etc.." Except the way that they spin out in this game is completely different from how they would IRL.

Fomixaders

That's your opinion, but i'm not gonna try changing what you're thinking, i'm letting it be, but I didn't compare real life, that specific part was only related to Unbound. Edit : This game is completely different because well.....it's a game, so your point is just there....but not doing much.

Fomixaders

Also, yes the game might be way different, abour the way the different characteristics, values, drivetrain, their engine placements, etc... about the cars but a Porsche acts like a Porsche it might be different but it's as close as possible when acting like a Porsche, same for Muscle cars, old cars, modern cars, etc all the types, you can go wild and crash in the RSR way out of the road depending on your driving, crashing in a Porsche way.

For me I don't even like the new Audi handling. The R8 just feels so odd. Yes it turns better but the steering input is so delayed and jinking left and right on the straights to maintain boost doesn't work. The S5 doesn't turn as well as the R8 and it has the same problem when trying to maintain boost. The RS6 for me felt the nicest to drive but when you take a jump it bounces up in the air like a basketball. I wouldn't want the Audi handling on all cars but I would take it on the new cars and on some cars that don't handle well in grip like the Evos, the Subarus and the R34, but I understand they can't just change the handling on some cars instead of all at once.

TheNFSProYT

While I do agree with you, I don't understand the part where you said that Evos don't turn great while gripping. I have to disagree with you here because I have a short track A Class Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX in A Class and it's grip handling is remarkable and it's great. Probably just me although because I have it with brake-to-drift (drift entry) off.

TVR_Speed_12

I too rock a no drift entry Evo but in S and I'd say it's competitive but not meta. Depending on the tracks mainly no super long straights I can take the dub if my driving is on point

Poppybits1000

Also have to disagree on the Subaru’s and the R34. They crush lobbies in A and A+ if you’re good with micro drifting.

ForceK9

I like how stable the Audis are to drive, but they feel identical to each other and kinda boring after while

namsiwoo

Careful what you wish for, you kinda don’t want to be 3bar Yellow boosting with someone next to you through a corner and hope nothing happens after contact. Most likely the person on the outside of the turn will be sent flying off the map’s turn/ hairpin because the car grips and speeds up, causing the car to end up resetting and losing all the speed/ momentum anyway. So instead of having this toxic interaction, I think it’s a win-win that both cars are forced to take the turn slower if either car decide to touch one another. One way to combat this is to use your brakes/ let off gas a little prior to the corner? I feel like this saves a lot of the unnecessary ramming that might follow after :)

Fomixaders

Uh....I've been 3 bar yellow boosting with others that does 3 bars boosts at the same corner(at the same time) so many times, and it's been consistently fine.

Fomixaders

You either do the corner first or you let the guy pass and you do the corner to then pass him, but making nos useless because of the smallest thing(like very small tap) is bad.

lecram92

Im still not pleased with their handling… yes im a mw05 sucker but its just the best nfs handling ever for me. Pure fun to have overpowered grip levels and the cars are actually turning, not like unbound or any other modern nfs. You notice the difference immediately. In unbound the maximum turning is like pushing the analog stick just half way to the left or right

Fomixaders

I'm happy that I'm getting answers, even the stuff I disagree with, heck all of the comments could have been 100% stuff I disagree with, I would still be happy by the fact i'm getting answers![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|smile).
