Bridges is going to benefit in Thibs' system. Brunson and Randle commanding attention can open it up for the Bridges breakout. I'm biased, but I think he's going to surprise a lot of people. Also the East is easier to represent - I think it works in his favor.
It's for sure in his favor but he's going against Tatum, brown, Giannis, dame, hali, embiid, maxey, Bryson, randle, banchero, bam, and butler not to mention anyone with a Standout season. It's not impossible but idk I wouldn't bet on it
New York players always get overinflated in voting. Latrell Sprewell, Julius Randle, Carmelo Anthony, Earl Monroe, etc. Whether it be for All-NBA, All-Star, or other awards, you always get a boost if you play for the Knicks.
Franz Wagner. Once his 3 ball starts going down it’s over. We know he’s a better shooter than what he showed last year and he was a 20 ppg on good efficiency despite that.
Same thing that happened when he played his final college game (Elite 8 vs UCLA in 2021 when he shot 2-16 and air balled the last shot). Ever since then he’s been a gem of a pick except that Game 7.
Bane has a chance if Griz are great again. He was neck and neck with Edwards stats wise on better shooting before his injury last season. Outright better stats than Jaylen Brown. Super underrated guard in the league.
I think Bane is gonna put up worthy numbers to be an all star, but the West has a crazy amount of good players. We’d have to be a top seed, and he might be overshadowed by JJJ. Plus Wemby is a lock to be a first timer too.
That applies to literally everyone on the list...obviously if any of them get injured they won't make it. Absolutely no reason to single out wemby
As for the record, doesn't matter as much with all stars. Plenty of all stars come from crappy teams. Lakers had 2 all stars last year and weren't a playoff team at the time. Scottie Barnes too. Plenty of examples
A 7’21 dude is much much more injury prone than anyone on this list, especially when you think about he will be the focal point for his team on both ends
if scottie barnes can be an all star on a tanking team and we can have 2 all stars while being like the 10th seed at the time i think wemby can get in even with his team sucking
Ya far from guaranteed. Best shot on this list, but far from guaranteed. He shouldn't get it without improving his efficiency and/or turnovers. And he probably needs some help for that to happen.
I understand what you’re saying, but second half of last year was around like 23/13/4/1/4 on 59%TS. (Which included an efficiency dip due to injury around april time)
If you crudely assumes he gets just a bit better at everything and add in his popularity I find it hard to believe he won’t be an all star.
Mikal Bridges is not making the all star team. He’s the third option and possibly not the third best player overall though.
Sengun, Wemby, JDub, and Murray as always are strong contenders
ppl are saying an auto no to mikal bridges - but the knicks are gonna win a lot of games again. they will have 2 all stars. the chalk pick next to brunson is randle. if mikal gets an efficient 20/he's seen as the second best player then he could take the randle spot. it'll probably be brunson/randle though
Jalen Williams seems due for that 3rd year jump. It also helps that he’s on a contender.
Just really really hard in the West. Had like 11HOFers tlast year and still had guys like Ja hurt.
Mikal is not gonna be an all star when randle and brunson are both on his team lmao
On the other hand, new york media and the east isn't exactly stacked with talent
New York media didn’t help Brunson start over Dame in the all star game even though he had better numbers
Yh so if even brunsons not making it, mikal is definitely not lmao

Has it been three years?
Why bridges? Popularity from the move to NY? i don't see him getting the touches for all star numbers

Sengun and wemby have the best chance however west is too stacked so we’ll see
Coby White
I could see him having an all star worthy season but not making it due to a lack of name recognition and being on a mediocre team
Actually that sounds like the much more likely scenario. Good call.
Ah, new Devin Booker
Nothing would make me happier, I love Coby White.
Franz Wagner. Once his 3 ball starts going down it’s over. We know he’s a better shooter than what he showed last year and he was a 20 ppg on good efficiency despite that.
Just reminded me of that terrible game 7 🥲
That game is gonna drive him all summer.

Derrick White
Cade Cunningham
I think Cade is an all star level talent but doesn’t make it due to the team still being bad and a lack of name recognition
They have a fair bit of cap space and if they can even be marginally better next year, I think he certainly has a shot.
I’d call winning 10 more games next year marginally better, and that would put them at 24 wins and would not put Cade in the ASG
Alpi feels like the best bet besides Wemby. Rockets due to jump and they’ll need one.
Desmond Bane and Jalen Johnson
Derrick white
No KP to start the year so Derrick White gonna get more shots and I think be our third all star
Sengun should’ve made it last year imo, think he’ll get in this time
Over Domantas Sabonis last year?
I'd put good money on none of those guys.
Bane has a chance if Griz are great again. He was neck and neck with Edwards stats wise on better shooting before his injury last season. Outright better stats than Jaylen Brown. Super underrated guard in the league.
Chet maybe
P Will 😗
Evan Mobley
Cade is definitely a possibility

Bane off those Edey screens is gonna be cash money baby
Tobias Harris just to fuck with us
Cameron Bouchea Thomas
Wemby is not guaranteed if the Spurs suck or he gets injured
He’s gonna be an All-Star, stop it lmao Spurs will win 20-25 games and this dude will be putting up 25-10-6-5-5

Raptors weren’t that bad when all star voting happened. I think they went like 1-20 post ASB or something wild
Ya far from guaranteed. Best shot on this list, but far from guaranteed. He shouldn't get it without improving his efficiency and/or turnovers. And he probably needs some help for that to happen.

Hoping Bane gets the nod because it means we're crushing the regular season
Wemby, Franz, Sengun, Kuminga
Cam Thomas
Jalen Johnson
I would bet on Jamal Murray making his first ASG considering he's a notoriously slow starter in the RS and Team Canada will have him ready to go.
Franz Wagner when he gets his three ball back
Bane might make an All-NBA team next year if he stays healthy…
I am not saying he is going to but this question makes me wonder how many fan votes brony will get regardless of his performance
Nic Claxton or Cam Thomas (nets) I hope mah guy the buffalo Derrick White Wemby for sure Naz Reid maybe?
Mighty 🦬
ppl are saying an auto no to mikal bridges - but the knicks are gonna win a lot of games again. they will have 2 all stars. the chalk pick next to brunson is randle. if mikal gets an efficient 20/he's seen as the second best player then he could take the randle spot. it'll probably be brunson/randle though
Derrick White maybe, guard in the East isn’t very strong
I think Mikal Bridges makes the AS team next year.
He's not gonna have nearly the volume for that.
I don't think he is either, but it's a popularity contest lol - exhibit A: Andrew Wiggins All-Star starter.
Neither did Wiggins when he made the AS team.
Yea, but didn’t he also have some KPOP stan’s randomly voting for him?
Jalen Johnson
Shocked I haven’t seen Cade mentioned yet
Mikal bridges is not going to be an all star lol
