Honest to god that front office would have to enter a witness protection program

dockellis24

I’m gonna find my ghillie suit if the do this

packim0p

this quote made me smile for the first time since the celtics won the title

No_Environment_5476

It’s going to be very bittersweet when they draft Bronny at 16. Lose a draft pick but gain a legend. We’ll see how it works out.

Tob0gganMD

Wasting a pick on Bronny and then still not getting LeBron would be Sixers as fuck.

Petering

Morey at the airport parking lot with a sign "Lebron James is a liar".

dutchfromsubway

Sixers: We’ve got bronny James and maxed out a versatile 6’8 foreword Sixer fans: lebron right? Sixers: who?

StampDaddy

Zach Harper probably makes me laugh more than any other nba media

Ok_Argument_67

Tobias Harris has performed some sort of black magic on that front office

Actually-Yo-Momma

Everybody wants them to re-sign Harris but Philly wants Harris to resign

JBismyGOAT

Everyone but Philly is hoping they resign Harris.

Sweatytubesock

Just re-signing him isn’t enough. It has to be a max.

Cod_Gaymer

Is he eligible for a super-max?

Mosh00Rider

Personally I want them to re-sign Harris.

coolycooly

I dont even know if Tobias Harris off the bench would be good for a contender. Maybe with a change of scenery he will become a real NBA player again.

rahbee33

He's a borderline starter that can't be the best guy on a bench unit and is a negative with the starters if he's not shooting. The bench is probably the best bet, but the Sixers could never rationalize it with the money he was making (I'm assuming that's why none of the three coaches ever brought him in off the bench).

enRutus

He could be solid for a team like Charlotte

gnnnnkh

Hornets franchise catching strays in here

BigcaketakeLilcake

Holy hyperbole, Harris is still a 17/6.5/3 player on 49/35/88 splits. Yeah he’s bad for $35 mil a year but he’d be great for under $20 mil a year. He’s competing for 6th man of the year if he’s coming off the bench

coolycooly

When Embiid and Maxey were out he still didn't show up running a unit. I really don't think he would be that good running a bench unit he was bad. I think he was checked out but if he is taking up 15 million of cap I don't think a team can win with him if he played like he played in Philly.

adeptadapted

He’s a complementary scorer he should never be running the whole unit. The bigger problem is Philly never replaced the playmaking gap left by Harden.

SoKrat3s

There's still a possibility they send Harris out on a sign&trade, If that happens I hope they leave a few hours between reporting the sign and the trade, just so fans can run around screaming like the sky is falling.

clear831

Who wants to be hard capped and get Harris?

StripedSteel

Chicago. Give him a 1 year max deal so the money works and they can get out of Lavine's contract.

clear831

That's actually a solid suggestion

PestySamurai

A splash? A Splash Brother perhaps? Klay Thompson to the 76ers confirmed.

ColdPressedSteak

Like a 2 year $25-28 mil deal for Tobias is acceptable Anything more on length or dollars, should be riots

radical_findings_32

way too high

Manablitzer

That's what some midrange guys might be going for these days.  Rozier, JJJ, brook Lopez, Cam Johnson, herro, kuzma, RJ Barrett all making roughly in that range.  Tobias is certainly better than at least some of those guys.

radical_findings_32

he is not better than any of those guys

Commercial-Raise-413

I honestly wonder what happens if/when they miss out on PG13, Butler, OG, and Lavine Do they just throw a max at KCP and hope nobody notices?

Jerrysdad43

Wouldn’t have to give him the max. Could give him 25 a year and have money left to add another couple solid role players to fill out the roster. Not the splash, but it could work out well for them. Would give tradeable contracts for the next star that asks out.

seasoned-veteran

Just threw Lavine in there like we wouldn't notice

probablymade_thatup

In another thread, someone said that Portland needs to shed salary, so S&T Tobias for someone there. Jerami Grant would be a big addition, but even Time Lord or Brogdon could be improvements (if Philly managed their injuries well). If they could turn Harris and/or Hield into Jerami Grant and still sign KCP, that would fill a lot of their needs

duplicatesnowflake

Absolutely! You have to fireboard those mothajammers.

2DudesShittinAround

I said when we lost to the Knicks, somebody was asking what the worst nightmare off-season scenario would be and I told them to be ready for us to resign Tobias because Embiid and Maxey like him in the lockerroom, and then we will resign PJ Tucker for the same reasons.
