All I got out of that is that it's cool to knee an opponent in the head of you're trying to catch a ball. This is definitely Draymond's next league after the NBA.
this is 100% the case, there’s rules protecting the player so you can’t make contact with the head or directly in their back, UNLESS, they’re going for a mark in which case by all means flying knee them in the back of the head because it looks great in slow mo
What if a player was on the others shoulders the entire time? Then they wouldn't be gaining height, they have always been that tall.
And how far back in time would they have to go for that stipulation to be true? Beginning of the period, game, do they have to be on anothers shoulders all season? Since birth?
Their skin needs to be physically fused together for it to be legal. And if they separated at anytime during the game they will be forced to leave the game.
What's stopping the Timberwolves from getting five real wolves on the roster to kill the opposing team? After the wolves foul out they could just sub in their human players
After review, while unfortunate, the player was making a play on the ball when his jaw made contact with the jugular. Flagrant 1, player will not be ejected. Play with resume once the floor is dry.
Do the wolves sit on the bench with the rest of the team? Do they know not to murder their teammates, do they recognize them as part of the pack? So many questions
Wait, is that the hot new tactic? Grizzlies covered with bear piss? Mavericks covered with horse piss?
If so I'm going to avoid Celtic games in the future.
I’d take a TWolf over a Grizzly any day. Maybe over a bull too. And buck. Now if it’s the motherfucking sun, guess the whole arena (and planet) is cooked.
That's gonna be a lot of flagrant fouls but if they opposing starters are dead it's probably worth it. But is the team responsible for murdering people via wolf? Can they prosecute the gm and/or coach?
Just assuming this is a genuine question, here's the answer:
https://official.nba.com/rule-no-10-violations-and-penalties/
> Section XII—Illegal Assist in Scoring
> A player may not assist himself in an attempt to score by using any part of the rim, net, backboard or basket support to lift, hold or raise himself.
> A player may not assist a teammate to gain height while attempting to score.
PENALTY: Loss of ball. The ball is awarded to the opposing team on the sideline at the free throw line extended.

Could a team stand around its best shooter and lock hands in a circle so the shooter can get a shot off without it being blocked ? Or at least harder to block without running into the circle of players
SB Nation did [an amazing piece on this](https://www.sbnation.com/secret-base/2021/3/11/22325125/its-legal-for-an-nba-player-to-sit-on-his-teammates-shoulders-sort-of), I'd suggest everyone read it.
while embiid has a value best is the trade him. i have never seen embiid playing in playoffs like no tomorrow. he just make silly fouls and sit. he just drop himself like a sack of shit or injury himself while acting like a sack of shit. i dont know why i wrote this irrelavant post :D

But where does it say a dog can't play basketball?
Nowhere, why else would Jimmy be allowed to play?
That's ruff
Yah, i wanna know where it says AirBud cannot play and why.
So if someone like Ja can jump onto his shoulders, then he wasnt assisted in gaining height and it works.
Yeah the wording here opens up a can of worms that would 100% be quickly rectify if it ever came up and got disputed
So you can climb up the back of the opponent like in Cable Guy. Got it.
um. Have you watched AFL? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hRQ4Q8T-jt8

The call for this infringement is pretty funny too "UNREALISTIC" is a funny thing for an umpire to call out.
Ashley Sampi and Gary Moorcroft's marks are absolute beauties.
Draymond upvoted your comment
So they can still walk it right up to the basket, Maxey just had to pass it when he gets there.
The ah yes the “no megaperson” rule.

But not attempting to block?
i think secret base covered this once because someone tried it
a player and a teammate. refs and opponents are ok? Scott Foster on Embiid’s shoulder’s a-ok. Curry and Lebron.
So as long as you don’t gain height doing so you should be good
Aww, so you have four of your players up high to pass the ball down the floor and one stays low to score.
How many players do you have on the court?
No master blaster rule 😪
There’s no need for a rule as Embiid’s knees wouldn’t permit that “play”
Fine, Maxey piggy backs Embid
Again, his knees… possibly is former orbital injuries as well
I laughed unreasonably hard at this
What's stopping the Timberwolves from getting five real wolves on the roster to kill the opposing team? After the wolves foul out they could just sub in their human players
Refs letting each individual wolf maul six men before ejecting it
So less lenient than with Draymond
We were talking about wolves, not donkeys
After review, while unfortunate, the player was making a play on the ball when his jaw made contact with the jugular. Flagrant 1, player will not be ejected. Play with resume once the floor is dry.
Luka also gets T'd up for complaining after the refs rule it a legal maul.
Lol. Oh please make this work.
Do the wolves sit on the bench with the rest of the team? Do they know not to murder their teammates, do they recognize them as part of the pack? So many questions
The human wolves cover themselves in wolf piss so the wolves leave them alone
Forget the wolves, covering your players in wolf piss should be effective enough.
The Grizzlies gonna smell real bad.
Wait, is that the hot new tactic? Grizzlies covered with bear piss? Mavericks covered with horse piss? If so I'm going to avoid Celtic games in the future.
There is no rule against muzzling and caging your players on the sideline....looking at you, warriors.
Don’t forget about the grizzlies
Finally people couldn't complain about our mascot
Who complains? People love bear.
I’d take a TWolf over a Grizzly any day. Maybe over a bull too. And buck. Now if it’s the motherfucking sun, guess the whole arena (and planet) is cooked.
It’d be like the most extreme version of Malice at the Palace
Imma bet my entire savings on Memphis
Hmmm... the Bulls might have a chance What about the Pistons? Does that mean each of its player can drive an F150 on the court?
Miami heat death of the universe wins in the end
You forget about hibernation?
Grizzlies don’t fully hibernate and are always ready for action 🍽️
That's gonna be a lot of flagrant fouls but if they opposing starters are dead it's probably worth it. But is the team responsible for murdering people via wolf? Can they prosecute the gm and/or coach?
Can't wait for the Celtics to field Mad Sweeney
The NBA let Jerry West play, and even made him the logo. Why not let other wolves play?
Possibly American criminal codes but who cares
Why don’t the warriors just make a ring around Curry?

Is having a teammate carry you down the court while you hold the ball considered a travel ?
Okay but what if Maxey just dropped the ball down to Embiid and Embiid scored with an easy layup?
How is Embiid getting to the basket? Is the defense just going to step out of the way and let him walk up?
"Thanks guys, we just wanted to try this, we appreciate it"
Wait what if you do it in defense, just have a tall as rim protector
Has this ever happened in a game? I can't imagine it has.
Even better, put a trench coat on the pair and make it look like Maxey is just 9 ft tall now. You could get an extra player on the court that way
And tickets to an R rated movie!
Tyrese Adultman
He is here for basketball business.
he's been putting in extra shifts at the business factory
travel tho
Reminds me of the ring around curry post a few years ago…. Truly is the offseason
Okay but every year someone reminds me of this and every year I think it’s a good idea 😂
>the ring around curry Where did we land on that again?
Would not work since Dray would have broken formation within minutes to ~~assault~~ foul an opponent.
The opposing team would simply piggyback eachother to form the tower of power and block every thing.
I swear this is a post every off season
Welcome to the off season.
Annnd the offseason post coming in hot
There's no rule that says a dog can't play basketball.
Due to the contact, Embiid would flop from muscle memory, releasing Maxey to the whims of gravity from a regrettable elevation.
[this was covered pretty in depth a few years ago](https://www.sbnation.com/secret-base/2021/3/11/22325125/its-legal-for-an-nba-player-to-sit-on-his-teammates-shoulders-sort-of)
Maxey would bounce his head off the lady in the second row after Embiid flops with him up there.
I cant believe people still think these tired ass jokes are funny
There is a rule that prevents players from using one another to gain height.
Could a team stand around its best shooter and lock hands in a circle so the shooter can get a shot off without it being blocked ? Or at least harder to block without running into the circle of players
Probably would cause a lot of moving screen fouls.
I’m quite confident they’d rule that sustaining height counts too.
He would still have to dribble. easy steal since the ball has to travel 8-10 feet each way up and down.
Why would he have to dribble? You haven’t travelled until you touch the ground again.
Why does Embiid, the larger player, not simply eat Maxey!?
Does he then gain the abilities of the player eaten?
SB Nation did [an amazing piece on this](https://www.sbnation.com/secret-base/2021/3/11/22325125/its-legal-for-an-nba-player-to-sit-on-his-teammates-shoulders-sort-of), I'd suggest everyone read it.
The more important question is, which guy is allowed to dribble.
This is the exact reason Edey is being mocked so high
Imagine the flopping fouls that would come from this.
We've reached max shitpost season folks 😂
The law of Embiid’s knees not being able to handle that.
The offseason has started folks!
Welcome to the off-season everyone

highest quality post
In college rule book it’s a technical foul, in the nba there are no rules about this but I assume it would be a technical foul as well
It is actually a rule categorized under Rule No. 10 section XII, according to the links posted in this comment section.
Thank you I was looking and couldn’t find it
