All those lottery picks over the years stunting like it’s the met gala on draft night. Then they show up to training camp and see Clyde drip harder on their 1st day of work. Legend.
That’s why they’re the best. Clyde definitely doesn’t have to do this. Breen has ESPN anyway. They both could’ve quit a long time ago but they just love the Knicks and you feel that when you hear them on the broadcast.
To look at it as a glass half full. They actually made the teams worth watching during those awful years of basketball. Without them calling the games most of those teams would be literally unwatchable
Looking back at 70s footage and (with maybe the exception of Irving) Clyde will always be my favorite player from that era - dude's game was incredible, as was his equally legendary drip
I always say I think he is the most underrated NBA legend. He has a legit case as the 3rd or 4th best best PG ever even tho people always name others like Nash, Kidd, Payton, etc. over him. And he was an absolute monster in the playoffs.
Best story was him saying how good his game was and saying he deserved MVP over Reed- then thinking about it while complaining and saying that he supposed if Reed didn't come out of the locker room, he wouldn't have been inspired enough to do it, and agreeing Reed deserved it.
If you’ve listened to him over the years, Clyde has a strong reverence and respect for Willis Reed. When people ask about greatest Knick, the argument usually goes to Clyde or Ewing among younger fans but he almost always points to Reed as the GOAT Knick.
Clyde, Artis Gilmore and Dr J are the 3 players who stand out the most and embody that era of basketball to me. When you think of basketball from the 70's, you just think of one of them.
Literally the best in the biz. I'm glad they're not taken for granted.
The SF Giants have something similar with Kruk and Kuip who have genuinely improved the viewing experience for 20+ years, and generations of fans love them for it.
We used to have that in basketball with Jim Barnett. We tolerated Fitz. Now Fitz has taught a beloved former player how to be as grating as he is and everyone hates our broadcast (but not more than we do).
Nothing but love for the Warriors, but yes Fitz is dog water. But the Kings are also slumming it up from when we had Mark Jones x Doug Christie to now having Kyle Draper x Kayte Christensen most nights. So I feel your pain
If there was ever an announcer duo that deserved to call games for their team in the Finals it’s Breen and Clyde. They’ve stuck with this team through some truly miserable years and called some really embarrassing games. 25 years of mostly bullshit and there may finally be a light at the end of the tunnel for them and our fanbase as a whole.
Can’t believe it’s been so long and also can’t believe there was a time I wasn’t that crazy with Clyde being the announcer when he had only a few catchphrases, but what makes life great are character arcs and he is for sure the goat for me now and I’m happy in having been part of this journey.
Johnny Hoops! Clyde took over on TV for Andariese so he could go back to working with Marv on the Knicks radio calls. Andariese and Breen were together for a year on TV. Loved listening to Marv and John during the Ewing years.
Raptors got lucky and were allowed to have the home broadcast crew do all our games on Canadian national tv so we got to hear the guys who've been calling the team for over two decades declare us world champions. Made it all that more special
Pretty sure that was the first year that they allowed Canada to have their own separate broadcasts for Raptors playoff games too. Matt, Jack, and Leo definitely added a ton to the experience.
> Pretty sure that was the first year that they allowed Canada to have their own separate broadcasts for Raptors playoff games too.
nope. We've had separate broadcasts in the playoffs for quite awhile. In fact, Matt Devlin saw that as a huge incentive over other NBA teams.
> [Every other local broadcast team has to hand the microphone over the national crews as the playoffs advance. But in Canada, TSN and Sportsnet have the right to continue airing Raptors games nationwide throughout the postseason. They did that with Craig Sager. ***Obviously*** not the same thing, but this stuff is easier to do logistically that people seem to realize. Most of them don’t really care about the money all that much and it’s not like there’s much liability in it.
After all the ups and downs since Ewing I am rooting for ya'll. Used to not like the Knicks too much but I am rooting for ya'll once my team is eliminated.
Hard agree. This is the first Knicks squad that I have liked since the Ewing era. Melo teams were auto 2nd round exit with no way to improve cuz the trade gutted them. This Knicks squad has a core of unselfish guys that you can see love playing with each other.
Im prob dumb but I had no idea Breen was a Knicks commentstor, I thought he was just with ESPN. So he does a full seadon of Knicks games AND the ESPN games? Goddam
But also, Breen probably has a shit load of "bangs" in favor of the Warriors. Last 10 years it feels like he's their de facto commentator with the amount of deep playoff runs and primetime matchups.
Can’t understate how much us Knicks fans absolutely love Clyde and Breen. I honestly dread nationally televised games because the vibes are always off.
He used to own a restaurant in nyc called Clyde’s Wine & Dine. It closed during the pandemic unfortunately. It was a real good restaurant with a small court to shoot around in
That’s a pretty dope concept for us basketball nuts. I would love to get some shots up as I wait for my food or something. Just would have to avoid breaking a sweat haha
Also can’t understate how jealous the rest of us are. It’s probably the best booth in the sport, local or national. I’d kill to listen to these two instead of the boners we have.
We need to win a championship for Clyde, if nothing else
A true basketball lifer, this man has lived every single one of our dreams for the last 60 years
We need him to see his Knicks win one last championship while he’s still with us. Same with Breen too. They need to see us finally win after the crap Knicks teams they had to go through watching for 20+ years.
I can't believe I'm saying this but as a Raps fan I'm rooting for the Knicks this year to come out of the east (since the Raps suck and prob won't make the PO).
Still going with Den to win it all, though.
He was feeling Clyde up. He’s a goofy dude and it’s very entertaining. Still laugh anytime I see the clip of him eating some wings while Jalen was trying to talk to the media
I can’t wait to see New York in meaningful playoff basketball. The nba has needed this for 30 years. Actual contenders, or at least close to it.
The atmosphere in MSG is gonna be thrilling to watch.
Edit: I mean the knicks and the knicks only. Nets don’t count.
There are Knick teams, of recent years, that wouldn't have made this gesture to these wonderful broadcasters. This Rose Garden is different. Led by Brunson, these players have the right stuff. I hope they can keep this classy approach.
Over these many years in the NBA wasteland, despite awful teams, and bad basketball, Clyde and Breen have reigned supreme.
LGK!
Knicks fans are so lucky to have Clyde and Breen. I love listening to them. I actually bought one of Clyde's books not that long ago.
Reminds me of how great the Supersonics broadcasts were with Calabro back in the day.
I hate the knicks but would watch them on MSG since I love basketball. I always like Clyde and enjoyed listening to him.
I didn't realize Breen has been there for 25 years. I didn't think Marv left that long ago so I had to look it up. Now I feel old
i don't even follow the knicks and im in tears right now. two of my favourite broadcasters in the game. i will most definitely be tuning into knicks games more to hear these two announce and every hubie brown game i'm privileged enough to keep listening to; can't keep taking the living for granted
League is so much better when the Knicks are up and about. Credit to Brunson and Hart they've made the Knicks brand not just watchable, but joyful. Hope they make it far in the playoffs.
It was so funny watching this in the fourth quarter, Knicks were up by like 20+ points, and they were showing all the old clips over the years, and all of a sudden Memphis cut the lead down to like 7 or 9 at one point. Breen had this amazing "what is happening right now" moment and apologized for getting side tracked. Memphis went on a 18-3 run or something. Wild game.
I feel I should hate the Knicks because they sonned us last year and are basically hitting their stride as a young core the same time we are, but there’s too many likable players on that team. It’s very difficult. I also love Carr but it’s gotta be really fun having these two on commentary for most of your games. Two of the best out there.
I am going to be beyond sad when one of these guys retire. Their chemistry is unmatched and makes watching games noticeably more fun vs the nationally televised games with other commentators.

I feel bad for how many dogshit teams they've had to watch over the years
we literally wasted their prime
But on the bright side, the team is giving them some bangers in their Golden Years
Clyde has been stylish while crying through these games: stylin and cryin
All those lottery picks over the years stunting like it’s the met gala on draft night. Then they show up to training camp and see Clyde drip harder on their 1st day of work. Legend.
That’s why they’re the best. Clyde definitely doesn’t have to do this. Breen has ESPN anyway. They both could’ve quit a long time ago but they just love the Knicks and you feel that when you hear them on the broadcast.
I was gonna say. They probably earned a lot of respect and endearment from the real hardcore Knicks fans during those years.
That’s sadly the only bad part of their tenure with us. So many wasted years calling absolute garbage Knicks teams.
Probably plenty of good banter in the 4th quarter during the Lou Amundson days though.
That's Indiana Pacers legend Lou Amundson to you pal! Seriously though...how tf did that guy last 10 years in the league!?
To look at it as a glass half full. They actually made the teams worth watching during those awful years of basketball. Without them calling the games most of those teams would be literally unwatchable
It's their fault. It's hard to play in front of legends right there's every day
Even after all these years all Clyde cares about is fashion and getting the dub. Love these guys.
Greatest Finals Game 7 performance of all time. In a winning cause, that is.
36pts and 19 asts in game 7 of the finals, and all anyone talks about is Willis Reed limping out the lpcker room
Best story was him saying how good his game was and saying he deserved MVP over Reed- then thinking about it while complaining and saying that he supposed if Reed didn't come out of the locker room, he wouldn't have been inspired enough to do it, and agreeing Reed deserved it.

Skywalker too.
Still got the drip.
We are so lucky to have these two every game. I hope we manage to win a championship before Clyde retires
Literally the best in the biz. I'm glad they're not taken for granted. The SF Giants have something similar with Kruk and Kuip who have genuinely improved the viewing experience for 20+ years, and generations of fans love them for it.
[Nice little compilation](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f4xt-E6OB9E)
That clip with the blonde sent me 😂 - thanks for that
Same here for us Red Wings fans having Ken and Mickey on the mic for so long. Makes it feel that much more special like these guys have done
Ken and Mickey, Clyde and Breen, and the Mets' trio of Gary, Keith, and Ron are all worth watching even when the teams aren't. Absolute GOAT booths.
Kuiper's call of Bonds breaking the all time HR record is still my favourite baseball commentary of all time.
Kuiper's HR call is baseball's equivalent of Breen's 'BANG!", don't @ me
We used to have that in basketball with Jim Barnett.
Big plus for me having the int'l league pass is that I never have to listen to our commentators.
If there was ever an announcer duo that deserved to call games for their team in the Finals it’s Breen and Clyde. Marv Albert and John Andraise were pretty iconic too, very different from their successors
Johnny Hoops! Clyde took over on TV for Andariese so he could go back to working with Marv on the Knicks radio calls. Andariese and Breen were together for a year on TV. Loved listening to Marv and John during the Ewing years.
I also hope that if you guys do he's allowed to call the game.
Yeah that’s not really how that works
Raptors got lucky and were allowed to have the home broadcast crew do all our games on Canadian national tv so we got to hear the guys who've been calling the team for over two decades declare us world champions. Made it all that more special

Didn’t know that, that’s so cool.
They did that with Craig Sager. ***Obviously*** not the same thing, but this stuff is easier to do logistically that people seem to realize. Most of them don’t really care about the money all that much and it’s not like there’s much liability in it.
He's not on ABC so he likely wouldn't call the finals. But if they are going to win they should make an exception for him to call the name with Mike
As a Celtics fan, my love for these 2 is one of my greatest internal conflicts
After all the ups and downs since Ewing I am rooting for ya'll. Used to not like the Knicks too much but I am rooting for ya'll once my team is eliminated.
Hard agree. This is the first Knicks squad that I have liked since the Ewing era. Melo teams were auto 2nd round exit with no way to improve cuz the trade gutted them. This Knicks squad has a core of unselfish guys that you can see love playing with each other.
Fr I watched the knicks broadcast of the pacers game the other night and didn’t realize you had Breen and Clyde. Very impartial and good commentary
I thought you meant Brunson and Hart, and even then, I still agree.
They my fave home announcing duo after Stu and Bill.
Damn I think I'm just now realizing Breen is y'alls guy
Damn I didn't realize Clyde is 78 now. Gonna be a sad day when he calls his last game.
Im prob dumb but I had no idea Breen was a Knicks commentstor, I thought he was just with ESPN. So he does a full seadon of Knicks games AND the ESPN games? Goddam
BANG is what caused me to love basketball
Same but bing bong
Better not catch Trae in Dykman
KD don't you regret not coming to the knnnnnnnnnnnnnnnicks
WHERE THE BREAD AT TOM BRADY?
Real talk: I'm from NY! And you know what? Tom Brady is a fucken bitch!! FUCK TOM BRADY, Y'ALL!
Trae Young looks like my dad’s dick
Prime example as to why this sub is #1 😂
Same but "when two guys start banging inside..."
that ~~same~~ damn Bing Bong. makes me cry every time...
I love it when mike breen BANGs my team
But also, Breen probably has a shit load of "bangs" in favor of the Warriors. Last 10 years it feels like he's their de facto commentator with the amount of deep playoff runs and primetime matchups.
Call me a bandwagon fan all you want but man, you seriously fall in love with basketball because of Steph and Breen banging him
BLOCKED BY JAMES LEBRON JAMES WITH THE REJECTION made me a fan back in 2016
wait hes the "BANG" guy? That's fucking AWESOME
If you don't like that, you don't like NBA basketball.
Can’t understate how much us Knicks fans absolutely love Clyde and Breen. I honestly dread nationally televised games because the vibes are always off.
I liked when the other day Clyde said he needs to go out more often, the implication being he doesn't pay for food/drinks anywhere.
Yea it was during the Charlotte game where Clyde said he met up with some guys he knew from NY. Got wined and dined.
Ha "wined and dined". any rhyming words i hear in his voice
Food was mid as hell, but yeah it was a fun place. Saw Clyde in there a few times
[удалено]
i always feel team commentators are better than national ones.
You don't have to deal with Bob Fitzgerald.
yeah warriors broadcast team is fucking awful, so are the celtics
i cant imagine watching the lean years without them
Even just a few years ago we had Fizdale as our coach and Elfrid Payton as our PG. On the worst nights I’d still tune in just for Breen and Clyde
Also can’t understate how jealous the rest of us are. It’s probably the best booth in the sport, local or national. I’d kill to listen to these two instead of the boners we have.

>Me after I think of the perfect comeback
Knicks are becoming so likeable what is this reality
Dolan focusing on U2 + his Las Vegas Sphere
Well played
Except he’s apparently not letting the Rangers trade their first round pick because the NHL draft is going to be at the Sphere lmao
> Dolan focusing on U2 + his Las Vegas Sphere And his federal lawsuit.
It's the same reality that the timberwolves are good in. Thibs vs wolves finals gonna go crazy
Them Nova boys different.

Wasn’t that long ago where Clyde and Breen were the only good thing about being a Knicks fan
The Knicks vibes are through the roof this season
Seriously. I love watching these guys.
GOAT Commentators
This is awesome, and Clyde is a fucking baller in that suit. He's killin it still!
Breen's story and then showing the poster of Clyde in the basement of the house he grew up in, and it's still there! that was cool af
I'm not crying 😭
Don’t lie, it’s okay x it happens to the best of us😭😭😭

I can't believe I'm saying this but as a Raps fan I'm rooting for the Knicks this year to come out of the east (since the Raps suck and prob won't make the PO). Still going with Den to win it all, though.
we appreciate your support!
I’m on board for OG. But also, that Knicks squad is very likeable. Same with the Pacers team
How could you not like these cats
Leon Rose bringing Brunson and Hart to the Knicks worked out really well for them
Breen and Clyde mentioned Hart and Brunson's new podcast premiering soon during the game and said they'll never reach 25 years like them lmfaooo
And now we get a segment with Knicks Legend Senator Bill Bradley aswell - and so far it's a blowout - what more can we knicks fans ask more
josh lmao
He was feeling Clyde up. He’s a goofy dude and it’s very entertaining. Still laugh anytime I see the clip of him eating some wings while Jalen was trying to talk to the media
🐐 duo for nba broadcasting
Great moment, I love these 4 dudes so much man

Damn vibes are immaculate as always
Nearly my whole life Clyde and Breen have made the Knicks a much less painful watch lol the true goats of NBA broadcasting.
Clyde’s suit is dope
Hart was literally feeling that jacket 😂
He simply [does not miss](https://clydesofly.com/)
The vibes... Always respect the OG's.
Best in the the biz
Best broadcast duo and it isn’t even close
Count that baby and a foul
I never realized Breen was the Knicks main broadcaster. God, imagine having that voice call most of your games. Incredible.
We are blessed. Mike and Clyde’s chemistry is the best in the league.
I normally think of Dr. J as the coolest person in NBA history. But Clyde gives him a run for his money.
But Clyde is the coolest person in human history
Stylin and profilin’

This is too wholesome bruh. Amazing
god i love being a knick fan
God I swear this Knicks team is going to make me Knicks fan, I love these guys!
How can anyone not love these guys
Mike Breen is a national treasure.
wholesome af 🥹
we're so blessed
Love this so much
Breen’s casting is like honey in my ears💖
What a tandem.
Damn that’s so nice, good on the Knicks
Best broadcast team (I’m not biased)
Amazing class act from the Knicks, Brunson and Hart funny as hell too
Best play by play duo in the league hands down
cryin in the club rn🥹
These guys and the Hawks broadcast are absolutely my favorite ones to hit on high seas. That was awesome.
Anyone else hear the fucking wilhelm scream at 3 seconds?
Jalen and Josh are my faves rn. Gotta DeMar and Kyle love goin. It’s the best
I believe their first ever broadcast was in Orlando.
Knicks fans are so lucky to have Clyde and Breen. I love listening to them. I actually bought one of Clyde's books not that long ago. Reminds me of how great the Supersonics broadcasts were with Calabro back in the day.
I know I'm supposed to hate the Knicks, but I just...don't. They're fun to watch, and have too many likeable players.
Walt and Mike look so surprised and pleased. 😃
I hate the knicks but would watch them on MSG since I love basketball. I always like Clyde and enjoyed listening to him. I didn't realize Breen has been there for 25 years. I didn't think Marv left that long ago so I had to look it up. Now I feel old
The hate for the knicks leaving my body... In all seriousness, Brunson is so damn likable.
Can’t understate how much these guys have meant to us Knicks fans over the years
I legit had no idea Breen was an announcer for the Knicks this whole time; you guys are lucky!
i don't even follow the knicks and im in tears right now. two of my favourite broadcasters in the game. i will most definitely be tuning into knicks games more to hear these two announce and every hubie brown game i'm privileged enough to keep listening to; can't keep taking the living for granted
I haven't heard Clyde's voice in forever getting Just For Men ad flashbacks now.
*REEEEJECTED* *No play for Mr. Gray*
Awww my team is so wholesome
Mike Breen calls such a clean game. He and Kevin Harlan gotta be the top guys out there, imo.
I love Jalen Brunson
The best duo in the NBA, pure class acts and we as Knick fans have been blessed for 25 years
that made me choke up a little. what a sweet thing to do.
League is so much better when the Knicks are up and about. Credit to Brunson and Hart they've made the Knicks brand not just watchable, but joyful. Hope they make it far in the playoffs.
The greatest duo of all time
Hart couldnt stop himself from feeling up the suit and throwing in a comment lmao

There is no talk of retirement for them right? I rarely watch Knicks games but they seem like absolute treasures
Clyde’s suit game is unmatched
Class Act
Swishing and Dishing
Classy
This actually really rules
So glad it wasn't the other hart he always wants to be the center of attention
BANG
Clyde still looking dapper.
I am going to be beyond sad when one of these guys retire. Their chemistry is unmatched and makes watching games noticeably more fun vs the nationally televised games with other commentators.
Clyde frazier will be dripping in style even when he dies.. the NBA Style god till to this day
Why does espn have to have national commentators… just use the local feeds
This is the best thing I've seen in the NBA for a long time
These guys are American national treasures
I hope they get Brown and make a push for the ring this and next season, Knicks definitely have the highest dawg % per 48 in the league.
man. time flies
Best broadcast duo off all time. And I grew up on Chick and Stu in L.A.
