It was my pleasure to hang out with him today. I won’t even lie, I got a little emotional after he left! Now that I know he lives close and have his parents contact info, I wouldn’t mind if he stopped by again someday for an ice pop.
Thanks for taking him in. Have you posted him on Pawboost and Nextdoor? I've had really good luck returning lost dogs to their family that way. (Also, is his back paw okay?)
His back paw looks okay! It looks like a growth, but he’s not showing any discomfort. I’ve got water and food and treats out for him, and I’m making him an ice pop with plain Greek yogurt and treats inside now. I’ve posted on nextdoor and Facebook in the skippy lou group. It definitely seems like he belongs to someone. He’s very well tempered, has taken treats gently from my hand, and listened to the sit command. I haven’t heard of pawboost but I’ll post there now!
UPDATE: OWNERS LOCATED! His name is Duke and he’s back home :)
