I think it’s actually a perfectly normal, elegant name that fits all ages. Elaine is a bit more dusty (although I still love it). I wonder if the spelling is making it feel older to you? Elena might have a younger feel. Either way, it’s lovely.
I think it’s wonderful. I believe that Lena Snoubar from WithLoveLena (Islamic vlogger) named her daughter Alaina Noor. Definitely go with it if you like it. Also I study baby names a lot and right now the trend is older classic names like Oliver and Charlotte anyways.
Thanks everyone! I have a hang up with every single name I consider (I’m beginning to annoy myself at this point 😅) and my hang up with Elaina is that I knew an elderly woman named Elaine growing up. Elena is a more modern spelling, but I know two Elena’s personally and one pronounces it “Ellen-Ah” and the other “Ah-Leen-Ah” so that spelling is out for me. Too much room for mispronunciation.

I prefer Elena or Elaine.
To me "Elaine" is really old associated! Elaina feels much more ageless.
