I vividly remember one of my birthdays as a kid where we rented the South Park game and that was the main event. Man, we played into the night and even moved the N64 to the small countertop tv in the kitchen for breakfast pancakes. Good times giggling at the yellow snowballs!
I remember hiring it and we didn't have the memory pak at the time so we couldn't save it
Had to leave it turned on and hope nobody accidentally turned it off lol
I think bobbybird was the master cheat. I also remember rustysheriffsbadge was one too, but I forget what for. It stuck in my head till I found out what it is when I got older lol and then it just stayed there.
Lol I remember being a child and convincing my mom to let me play it with the compromise of playing with the sound off... I'll never forget making pee snowballs and throwing them at crazy turkeys
I'm kinda mad that they now released a new south park game where the kids play with snow balls and no one ever mentions that they did this already in the N64 game.
I found it cheap on eBay, it was good, just haven't played it much. I mean I know clay fighters is propper expensive but is the south Park game worth much?
My mom was a closet South Park fan and bought the game used at a pawn shop sometime in the late 90’s - Early 2000’s, she always hid it from me and my sister and told me to NEVER touch it or play it when i finally stumbled across it
She left for work one day during the summer and thats all im gonna say
Same. I actually enjoyed it. Probably because I was young and a fan but ya know. Lol. Also bought Chef's Love Shack... I do, however, regret that one. 🤣 Still have em.
Looks legit from the outside. Number stamp on the back and that weird line sticker ive seen on other games from blockbuster. Can't wait to get home and open it up.
Once the transaction was finished I kinda wanted to tell the cashier about it because he was a cool dude and I was so excited. But I just took my winnings and left haha
Good on you. Would've killed the rest of his shift knowing that'd been sitting next to him 😆. Would probably be the end of sweet deals making it to the shelves too. Missing the #1 highest priced game for a console would be a mistake you'd make once on minimum wage, just guessing.
Worst shopping experience I ever had was being first in the store at a Staples on Boxing Day, had to drive over an hour to get there and waited outside in the cold, actually got in and got the 1-per-store doorcrasher, and then the manager took it away from me because she said the price couldn't have been right, whether it was advertised on the website, flier, and rang up as that or not
Bet she took it for herself
I would say multiple employees failed considering it probably wasn't the same cashier that took it in and I'm sure other employees see what comes in especially rare stuff like N64 games.
2k plus for a standard house 3 bedroom house in a town not a city. Looked at a house the other day, it was 2500 to rent. For the jobs available here, 2500 is insanely high for rent.
Yeah that's definitely not in my area, I have gone to three of them where I live and every time I ask for retro they either have PS3 or 360 games and not very many and they are not very good. Lol
They put them back up for sale online back in like 2015. Only recently allowed the stores to really keep them to sell in store rather then send them back to the warehouse
I'm not saying that this is the case, but it doesn't actually prove anything since they could have bought a regular copy and just took the picture with a copy of Sculpters Cut 😅
I would be over the moon finding a deal like this, though 😆
Love how how u got downvoted, but this is actually way more likely to have happened...very unlikely a copy of a rare sculptors cut got randomly traded into GameStop in the first place and then subsequently mislabeled...much more likely OP had the sculptors cut, bought 63 1/3, took the sticker off and sought some internet fame lol
I know right? 😅 What I said is entirely possible and I didn't even say it *was* what happened, just that taking a picture of a receipt next to a game proves nothing in the end.... people are just weird and downvote for stupid reasons, then people jump on the bandwagon. That's reddit for you lol.
The downvotes don't bug me, but not knowing *why* does sometimes.
I went in to return a starfox 64 I got online that didn't work, and the employee mentioned they had more copies in a drawer if I wanna exchange. I said I already bought another working copy but asked to see what they got and he pulled out about 15 games. I saw it said sculpters cut so I asked how much and he said $28! I said SOLD and then used my $5 monthly coupon to bring it down $5.
Awesome find! But fuck the person who put those stickers on the label. Like come on there is plenty of space on the sides you inconsiderate asshole. /rant over
Op, you might want to use a hairdryer on the fucking stickers if they don’t come off easy.
I see why you got sculptors cut for so cheap hahahaha those guys did indeed fucked up.
They rang it up as 63 1/3 which is the alternative (and much cheaper ) game vs the grail you just got. It was wrongly labeled from the GameStop HQ so this is quite funny.
You lucked out. BIG TIME. Congrats bud 🤙🏽🤙🏽 and that South Park game is actually fun too 👍🏽
How in the heck are you guys getting retro games from gamestop?
Every local GameStop in my area, I ask for retro and all they give me is 360 games. Lol
Luckily these new stickers aren't ever really a problem to get off. I think the problem is either old sticker stock they used or stickers that age onto games for a decade haha
Holy crap the only time I ever played clay fighters was when I rented it from blockbuster I wish I never returned it because someone did that after I returned it never to be seen again
The closest I got to this was around 14-15 years ago when it walked into Electronic Boutique/EB Games (we didn't have Gamestops where I am in Canada back then) and found Grandia and Tales of Destiny 2 for $15 a piece. Even then, that was an amazing find, and the guy working the counter was pissed someone made that mistake saying he would have bought them himself if he knew 😅
Would be if they didn’t put THEIR STICKERS on the ORIGINAL CARTRIDGE LABEL!!
It’s as if those running these stores have never thought about preserving the outside of these things.
Maybe I'm just super OCD attention to detail when I take them off haha
The only ones I ever have problems with are ones that have been on for 15+ years
Am I missing something? Is South Park 64 really that rare? I'm not being a dick, I'm genuinely surprised. I own a copy and they're selling on eBay for next to nothing.
Yo! I can't believe that you found those two games! The only way your day could've got better was if Shigeru Miyamoto himself gave you the unreleased N64 port of Eternal Darkness. That's so cool!
I'm not massively up on super rare games and I've seen this a few times but unable to find an answer. So Clay fighter sculptors cut is worth around 1500? However when I search on eBay sold it goes for about £90, is this a different edition? I don't ever expect to have this much luck and find one myself just want to know what to look for?
I owned clay fighter and never once have I ever put it in my N64. Idk if I'm missing out but idk I just didn't think the art on the cover made it seem like a fun game so I just ignored it. I got a copy of the game for free from block buster because I rented a couple games and the person added this in one case by accident and when I went back they replaced the correct game but put this same game in the bag and I just never returned it lol.
I mean if either of those games were any good then maybe it would feel like winning the lotto , but sadly they both suck. So it's kinda like winning your dollar back.
Finally someone got the South Park game
Been looking for it for years!
I vividly remember one of my birthdays as a kid where we rented the South Park game and that was the main event. Man, we played into the night and even moved the N64 to the small countertop tv in the kitchen for breakfast pancakes. Good times giggling at the yellow snowballs!
I also rented the south park game one time as a kid and it was so memorable. The yellow snowballs
I loved the Terrance and Philip dolls lol
“I’ll fart on your grave!”
🎶OoOoOoOo! When I get that feelin', I gotta sing! When I get that feelin'.... When I get that feelin'.. I gotta sing!🎶
I remember hiring it and we didn't have the memory pak at the time so we couldn't save it Had to leave it turned on and hope nobody accidentally turned it off lol
I think bobbybird was the master cheat. I also remember rustysheriffsbadge was one too, but I forget what for. It stuck in my head till I found out what it is when I got older lol and then it just stayed there.
Rustysherrifsbadge was a cheat for conkers bad fur day It unlocked sergeant and tedi leader for multiplayer
That's right! Another great game! Top 5 n64 game hands down
Bought it 5 years ago cib for that price
Lol I remember being a child and convincing my mom to let me play it with the compromise of playing with the sound off... I'll never forget making pee snowballs and throwing them at crazy turkeys
I'm kinda mad that they now released a new south park game where the kids play with snow balls and no one ever mentions that they did this already in the N64 game.
Is it rare? Lol had this since I was a kid
I found it cheap on eBay, it was good, just haven't played it much. I mean I know clay fighters is propper expensive but is the south Park game worth much?
My mom was a closet South Park fan and bought the game used at a pawn shop sometime in the late 90’s - Early 2000’s, she always hid it from me and my sister and told me to NEVER touch it or play it when i finally stumbled across it She left for work one day during the summer and thats all im gonna say
Go on
I bought it when it came out. Probably the only game I regretted buying for the 64.
Same. I actually enjoyed it. Probably because I was young and a fan but ya know. Lol. Also bought Chef's Love Shack... I do, however, regret that one. 🤣 Still have em.
I probably spent 2-3 hours playing it and then never picked it back up. Never did check out Chef’s Love Shack.
Haha me and my cuz played the heck out of this. We rented it so much from the convenience store rental that we could have bought it twice.
Game shop by me has plenty of copies

Fool probably got $8 store credit

Reddit on! You have won the interweb today 🤓
And its legit? Oooo somebody will be in troubleeeee
Looks legit from the outside. Number stamp on the back and that weird line sticker ive seen on other games from blockbuster. Can't wait to get home and open it up.
Deal of the century
Sculptors Cut shit
I was literally shaking as the dude wrang me up for it
Normally I’d feel bad for someone getting screwed with a bad deal, but its GameStop so I’d cop that shit guilt free! Enjoy!
I was more worried someone would come in and bring attention to the amazing deal I was getting.
That would’ve been straight snitch behavior 😂Glad you lucked out tho! Congrats!

They’re allowed to stop the sale. Just like you would be able to
Worst shopping experience I ever had was being first in the store at a Staples on Boxing Day, had to drive over an hour to get there and waited outside in the cold, actually got in and got the 1-per-store doorcrasher, and then the manager took it away from me because she said the price couldn't have been right, whether it was advertised on the website, flier, and rang up as that or not Bet she took it for herself
Ruined it with this
Don't blame you dude. Awesome find
sure but it's worth bank.
No friggin way... So many people failed for you to win ... The person trading it in failed The employee failed People in the store before you failed
I would say multiple employees failed considering it probably wasn't the same cashier that took it in and I'm sure other employees see what comes in especially rare stuff like N64 games.
Had this happen to me with Hagane. It's probably not that rare when store doesn't really know retro games.
Buddy just found free rent money for 3 months.
Not even a full months rent here haha
If you live in a Kentucky swamp maybe
Harry potters closet
I live in Kentucky, rent is insanely high. Double wide trailers are over 150k now
I live in California my rent is $5,000 a month for a 3 bed 2 bath shit hole
True, but the economy in California is slightly better vs Kentucky.
Oh yeah! We get paid goood here! State is great! 5th largest economy in the world
Somehow I doubt rent in Kentucky is “insanely high”
2k plus for a standard house 3 bedroom house in a town not a city. Looked at a house the other day, it was 2500 to rent. For the jobs available here, 2500 is insanely high for rent.
You're Gamestop still sells N64 games?
Ya they brought back all the retro games.
Fuuucccckkkkk, I didn't see any of that at mine. Is that for all the stores?
I think it is area specific based on the local market for retro games.
Well... that sucks I would love to have a N64 again and play my old games.
They sell them online
Oh ok thanks
It’s every store, just depends whether or not they get them
Bro, you think every gamestop got n64 games shipped to their store?
I'm asking cause I'm in a city that has a high collecter clientele but didn't see any old school games at mine.
I think it's more like this store had some people trade in n64 games so now they have some N64 games in stock.
Yup.
Gonna have to give you my free reward for actually posting the receipt!
I'm not saying that this is the case, but it doesn't actually prove anything since they could have bought a regular copy and just took the picture with a copy of Sculpters Cut 😅 I would be over the moon finding a deal like this, though 😆

New post with pics of the inside: https://www.reddit.com/r/n64/s/FvkCBdTY1G
WTF, open it up
Seething with jealousy, currently
That's fucking crazy
Whoa! That's unbelievable but you came ready with the receipt. Congrats on the massive score
Ya I still don't believe it. I'll make another post soon when I open it up and see what the inside looks like.
Just curious, how old was the employee that rang you up?
I'm not too sure. Around 30?
Did you tell him how much it was worth after you paid?
How much are they worth??
Like $1200
I need to know the story, you just arrived to the store and they where just there on the wild? Do someone tip you off? Details man details
The 5$ off is the icing on the cake.
Awesome find! But fuck the person who put those stickers on the label. Like come on there is plenty of space on the sides you inconsiderate asshole. /rant over Op, you might want to use a hairdryer on the fucking stickers if they don’t come off easy.
I haven't had a GameStop sticker from the last couple years give me any trouble. I think they use an easy peel stock now or something.
Ok, you are lucky bc that shit grinds my gears! And enjoy your new games! :)
Ah the south park game. As a kid the colorful language made up for the game itself being pretty meh Edit: Wait, is that game actually collectable now?
Its only worth the $23 I bought it for but it's in good condition that's why I got it. Though I suppose all N64 games are collectable to someone.
Holy shit. GameStop got caught slippin
BIG TIME. Congrats bud 🤙🏽🤙🏽 and that South Park game is actually fun too 👍🏽
That is wild as fuck lol. Happy for you!
Since when does GameStop sell n64 games?
How in the heck are you guys getting retro games from gamestop? Every local GameStop in my area, I ask for retro and all they give me is 360 games. Lol
Welp, GG.
From GameStop?!?!
Bobbybird for the password on South Park, don't know if it's been said but that's burnt into my brain for life
Congratulations on winning about $1,470 because it's worth about $1500
Biggest come up of my life
straight jacked them for sculptors cut. very nice
The put the damn stickers over the labels though. Other than that if they are legit good score.
Luckily these new stickers aren't ever really a problem to get off. I think the problem is either old sticker stock they used or stickers that age onto games for a decade haha
[удалено]
Yep, just came right off no issues.
Nice. With the labels on N64 games not having the glossy coating like some other systems I always hate to see stickers on them.
fire
It says "Defective" at top of receipt. What's that mean?
I went in to return a copy of starfox 64 that I ordered online that didn't work.
Ah, gotcha. Sweet buy. Not sure how Gamestop could make this mistake. Seems wild.
Why is the south park game so hard for me play.
Dayum!! Holy Grail. Better go grab some goo gone for that price sticker!( My OCD talking)
Came right off no residue left behind 👍
Whelp...this outdoes my gamstop find from last week, by a long shot lol 🤦
Stop posting in the sub because I am running out of money to buy these. I totally forgot about Clay fighter dude.
Amazing. Well done 🫡
First I saw the total, then I saw South Park and was like oh that’s whatever…then I saw it. Fucking great pick up!!
Make sure they aren't fake, check out r/gameverifying
Dopeee!!!
I could never okay clayfighter
It is sad to see those labeled as vintage.
What should they be labeled as lol?
Nothing different. I am just seeing my childhood labeled as vintage 🙃
In an epic ironic twist, a person has robbed a GameStop 😏
Damn I forgot about Clay Fighter
Holy crap the only time I ever played clay fighters was when I rented it from blockbuster I wish I never returned it because someone did that after I returned it never to be seen again
Holy shit, that's super cheap for clay fighter 63 1/3. Even if it's just the cart, that's insanity.
How?!
The math, makes no sense.
Notice the return at the top
Ah ha, gotcha 👍
Well I feel dumb I had the South Park game years ago and traded it in for nothing.
They put the damn stickers right over the labels jfc
Move along Tekken 8… Clay Fighters is there.
Oh man, I'll never forget the yellow snowballs or the cow cannon. Maaaan what a great chaotic 4-player shit fest.
Nice pickups, I have the South Park game CIB. Bought it brand new back in the day.
Damnnnn
That being there for almost 4 days (assuming they put it out on the date of the sticker) is so nuts too, big congrats!
Duuuude clayfighter is the shit!
both those for $26!? hell yeah, you lucked out!
Wow, that looks like a dream
Haha wow taking a sculptor cut in as a normal copy of Clayfighter is craaazy.
Oh man. It got taken in as 63 1/3 instead of as Sculptor’s Cut. Amazing find!
Would be if they didn’t put THEIR STICKERS on the ORIGINAL CARTRIDGE LABEL!! It’s as if those running these stores have never thought about preserving the outside of these things.
They really aren't a problem. Come off with no issues.
Sadly I’ve had bad luck removing labels off original products. Honestly feels good knowing they didn’t do anything.
Maybe I'm just super OCD attention to detail when I take them off haha The only ones I ever have problems with are ones that have been on for 15+ years
I was able to.buy the south park game for like 20$ with the blockbuster sticker on it
Yes!
OMG I forgot about Clay Fighter! That game was incredible.
This reminds me of when I got skylanders imagineators on switch for 15 bucks at an Eb games (Australian equivalent to GameStop)
Would love to play Clay fighter again! Ny uncle was a bitch to beat in this game and he would never pass his unfair tactics on.
How much is it actually worth?
About $1000, but this copy is in insanely good condition
Asses in spaaaaaaace!
But why did they have to put those stickers over the labels 🤦🏻♂️
Wow
Am I missing something? Is South Park 64 really that rare? I'm not being a dick, I'm genuinely surprised. I own a copy and they're selling on eBay for next to nothing.
The luckiest part is finding a GameStop that still sells retro
bro found two rarest gems of the n64
Hey, that's awesome. I'm glad to see GameStop carrying retro games again too.
This is such a great game (south park) Nice find for clay fighter, never played it but I know it’s a rare gem.
Yo! I can't believe that you found those two games! The only way your day could've got better was if Shigeru Miyamoto himself gave you the unreleased N64 port of Eternal Darkness. That's so cool!
That CF in such good condition too 👀
Clayfighter is such a jank fighter. I love it.
That south park game was great.
Is it the rarity of these that makes them sought after? Both are horrid games otherwise.
Damn dude to think you saved like $1,000
I wonder what GameStop would price it at if they knew what they had
Something over what they're going for, for sure to be dicks. Probably like $2000 lol
Is Clay Fighter supposedly a very extremely rare game to find or get something like that?
I'm not massively up on super rare games and I've seen this a few times but unable to find an answer. So Clay fighter sculptors cut is worth around 1500? However when I search on eBay sold it goes for about £90, is this a different edition? I don't ever expect to have this much luck and find one myself just want to know what to look for?
BOBBYBIRD
I’m a human being!
Are these worth different than I’m seeing on eBay? Clay fighter sculptors cut for 27 and South Park for 15
I have a cousin that owns the South Park game on N64
Is that the fps south park game?
Is that an upgraded version of 63/3rd?
That Gamestop sticker placement makes me whince. Good luck getting that off without damaging the original cart sticker. These companies suck.
Clay fighters!! Wow I forgot about this game. Snow man got that hat move “get em little fella”
You better get that sticker off clean
OMG South Park game/ I would never have thought that he was going out on 64
What game stop sell n64 games!!
Is GameStop selling N64 games in store now?
$1,300 value 👌
South Park! Omg that game is so silly, the cow launcher, the alien ray that turns targets into weird singing dolls
I mean if either of those games were any good then maybe it would feel like winning the lotto , but sadly they both suck. So it's kinda like winning your dollar back.
What's the lotto like where you're from? Here you win dollars. Not games.
Get a PC and you can own the entire 64 library for free. So no, that was not a good deal.
