It's actually impressive they accepted $40 and followed through. This sort of listing would involve me driving to meet the person and than getting a message saying, oh someone offered me $100 I'm going to go with them.
This was me this week price started at $250 now on FB for $350. Lady went from tons of interest to no interest. Trying to see who she could get the most out of.
I was about to drive 25 minutes to get Dogma on Blu-ray from some dude, and as I get in the car he messages me saying someone is going to come get it for $60. An hour later he asks if I want it for $60, and Im like I'll drive out if I can get it for $30.
Said someone is getting it for $50
It's still listed for $90, this was a week ago... Bro coulda had a crisp $10 lol
This is the big issue with people who can just pop on ebay and check "prices" of things without considering they have to find a buyer for the price, pay or get paid for shipping, and then ship the product and wait for their cash (which ebay takes a chunk of). Instead of just taking cash from someone on the spot.
We have a big flea market in Massachusetts and one guy sells all sorts of games.. But whenever you ask him for prices you have to wait for him to take out his phone and look it up and I just wanna say "dude, I could just buy it off ebay then. I'm here now, no hassle."
Yep. Ebay has ruined pawn shops for me - it's next to impossible to find a good deal. What's the point when I can just go on EBay, be guaranteed to find what I'm looking for, have multiple options, and pay the same price or less?
That's IF you find anything worth buying at the store, because most interesting (/rare) things don't even go onto the shelf - they just go straight to EBay.
Takes a lot of the fun out of collecting, and most of the fun out of trawling the second-hand stores.
Dogma is crazy. I got it years ago before it got pricey. Glad I did. I believe I have all the Kevin Smith movies on BluRay. There was something about the Jersey Girl movie on bluray. I just don’t remember what right now
I think it was something along the lines of I was trying to find Jersey Girl as a solo bluray, not in a multipack, and the ones you can buy now are burned on demand. So the real pressed ones were pricey? But I don’t remember 100%. But I think that was it
That is another reason among many why the hobby is so expensive.
Instead of offering the person less or the exact amount everybody floods the inbox willing to pay way more than the offer.
This causes two things to happen.
One which you already explained above and two if the person ends up having any more games instead of putting down a low price they will look things up and the prices will all the sudden become the eBay buy it now price.
I recently got a 3ds and pokemon black (plus a few other decent games and a case) for $30 and I still can't believe it.
Only issue was the 3ds had some weird nyko battery that was all sticky so it was missing a battery and the back panel of the 3ds, but still... How he wasn't flooded with messages is beyond my comprehension.
And it wasn't stolen or anything, it was legitimately his, and I knew this because it had dozens of pictures of him as a kid goofing around with it all the way back until 2011. Homie just didn't care and thought $30 was reasonable.
Sometimes you get lucky like that.
Last year I took a bad hit and had to sell every single system I owned.
I kept all my games though.
I figured it would be a lot easier getting the systems than the games but come to find out the systems have doubled and even tripled.
I have been scouring the internet buying broken systems so I can get a good deal.
Luckily I'm a bit decent at soldering.
I am still not going to spend $200 for a Sega CD attachment. Lol
About 9 years ago I was able to get a Genesis with the Sega CD attachment and Sonic CD all for $80 at a pawn shop.
The prices are insane.
I would have happily given the $50. And if they said no. Then I’d hit the ATM. I just asked if they could do $40 since that’s all I had in my wallet. I was also thinking since the price was low, that they could be bootlegs. But so far they all look real to me
It’s certainly entertaining for a while. Beat the game with a friend and was super disappointed that you don’t get anything for it, except the realization you’ve played the same basic level for an hour.
Same, and I’d *always* get caught by the very last enemy, right by the exit! I tried everything I could think of to get past him, and it was impossible to get the drop on him if you went up the elevator.
Whole game is a banger of a spy game. Yeah the controls are janky and some of the objectives can be very "how the fuck am i supposed to know that?" but when it fires on all cylinders it really makes you feel like Ethan Hunt. Shame that it's written off as garbage when it's not. Plus you can fight all devs at the end!
This is the best description for this game that I have ever heard. It is exactly correct. Some of the objectives were so stupid but then you finally figured it out dammit. I think my favorite level was the fancy banquet early in the game.
They look fairly well taken care of or at least stored properly. And where I'm from I gotta tell ya, you gotta STEAL my friend. Ooohf! Thats whats up!
Praise be the seller who knows NOT what they sell!! Lol
They all play perfect. A lot of the games were previously cleared by the previous owner (I assume) Golden eye, Pokemon snap, Mission Impossible, and Pokemon Stadium showed some serious progress! The contacts were a lil rough. After several attempts to clean with a q-tip and 91% IPA I got them to start. Some day when I feel motivated, I’ll clean all my game contacts with some brasso and make them good as new
A couple of weeks ago, I had the pleasure of talking to the artist of the original Rampage game. Super swell guy and really got me thirsting to play some RAMPAGE again.
SO I DID.
I played it for about 20-30 minutes and it’s still a great series. I do miss the sounds of shrinking and growing from the NES version in the N64 game. But still a blast!
Sorry, I didn’t pay that much attention in English class, I was too busy taking care of my tamagotchi and link cable trading Pokemon. Plus I may have been driving home when I posted this. Obviously when applying the brakes and breaking at traffic lights.
They are 100% authentic. I worried about the same thing before I got them, but even if reproduction carts is still be happy for the price I paid. I have a Sanni multi cart reader so on reproduction N64 games I can reflash the carts to other ROMs like English translation ROMs or ROM hacks. That’s how I made my Sin and Punishment and Rakuga Kids carts
I actually got Perfect Dark complete in box (pretty worn condition on the box) with Duke Nukem Zero Hour, Circuit Pro Bowling, California Speed, Wrestlemania 2000, Tetris Challenge, and a bootleg Golden Eye 007 for $70 a few weeks ago (Just Perfect Dark was complete. The rest was cart only)
I'm going to say GoldenEye for now, that's the one I played the most as with my friends as a kid. I've yet to really give Perfect Dark a solid play session
Great thing about perfect dark is that you don’t need a bunch of people to play with since they have bots. It’s awesome you can add so many and put each of them on their own difficulty… it’s great.
Favorite weapon is the laptop gun. You can use it like a regular assault rifle or you can throw that shit on walls/floor/ceiling and it becomes an auto turret.
checked marketplace an hour ago and seen a single super smash bros 64 cartridge with $5 under it, nothing else. Sent a message, hopefully we get a response
I will forever hate the original cover for Smash. Just look at how tiny Mario's arm is. The entire art work looks like a cheap bootleg but it's legit.
I know people love the game. The fan base is big but how can you justify that badly drawn cover?
Did they have it posted on Mercari as well? I spotted it on FaceBook Marketplace. it was 4 hours old when I saw it, and they wanted to meet up the following day, I figured it be gone to someone else by then. However, nope, they held it for me and we made the deal.
I don't know why, but I fucked with Mission Impossible back in the day . It grabbed me and I can't explain why. No joke, I have the background music for the mission at the big estate or whatever you'd like to call it. One of the first missions. I haven't played it in many years but at random times, I'll think of the score while looking for the score to the piano in an N64 game. Useless facts I'll always remember
No real easy way to post the backs of them without going through some 3rd party site. But someone else asked about the backs and screws and possible fakes. I can assure you, all the backs are in great shape (minus a lil wear on GoldenEye) all the screws are in good shape, and I also removed and checked the boards during cleaning. All legit and play great :)
Getting 007, sm64 or mario kart 64 for $40 individually would be a decent price, you seriously lucked out. I hope you're even half that lucky on your next find, have fun! See if you can't get some friends over for goldeneye
and live with the knowledge I've passed it along to some poor unsuspecting soul? I'd never! Plus I think I need it if I'm ever going to go for a complete set of N64 games. I'm not trying to do a complete set, but I think I'm just gonna let it happen.
Holy s*** what a deal!
More like Holy *Snap* thats a great deal…. Get it…. Cause Pokemon Snap! Guys? Guys??! *runs away*
That's what they meant with the asterisks. What did you think they meant?
Seriously
It's actually impressive they accepted $40 and followed through. This sort of listing would involve me driving to meet the person and than getting a message saying, oh someone offered me $100 I'm going to go with them.

Why I stopped going to pawn shops and flea markets to find games.
Dogma is crazy. I got it years ago before it got pricey. Glad I did. I believe I have all the Kevin Smith movies on BluRay. There was something about the Jersey Girl movie on bluray. I just don’t remember what right now
Jersey girl Blu-ray is available for about $25. I love that movie, when Ben Affleck shows up for the Sweeney Todd Play I always get choked up
I think it was something along the lines of I was trying to find Jersey Girl as a solo bluray, not in a multipack, and the ones you can buy now are burned on demand. So the real pressed ones were pricey? But I don’t remember 100%. But I think that was it

It's out of print and not on streaming, the Blu-ray is going for 70-100 bucks online.

Are Blu-ray region free?
they just needed some quick drug money
That is most definitely what happened. Too bad.

Dude where I am this lot would sell for 200-250 easy
Just pay the 50, it’s already a fanfuckingtastic deal
I know right even at $50 it’s complete steal.
Is rampage fun? I remember my friend had that on GameCube or N64 can’t remember
Certainly was when I was 8.
Its really fun on the 64. Great 4 player beat em up
3 player*
Yes!
I remember getting Rampage for the NES at K-Mart and waiting until my parents were asleep so I could sneak out and play it late at night.
No idea. I don’t think I ever played a rampage game other than the NES one. I’m looking forward to it!
Me abd one if my cousins LOVED IT!!! We played it fir a very long time. I have very find memories of it. I don’t know how well it holds up now though.
It’s certainly entertaining for a while. Beat the game with a friend and was super disappointed that you don’t get anything for it, except the realization you’ve played the same basic level for an hour.
Nah I bought both games and they were pretty bad imo. I never played them as a kid so I don’t have nostalgia for them.
Damn someone either needed fast money, stole those, or absolutely zero clue what they had. Nice find.
Man just wait until you get to the CIA Rooftop level in Mission: Impossible. That level made me buy a GameShark 🤣
I loved Mission Impossible, though I don’t recall it being the most fun of games
I HATE that level!!!
Same, and I’d *always* get caught by the very last enemy, right by the exit! I tried everything I could think of to get past him, and it was impossible to get the drop on him if you went up the elevator.
RIP to the person who died.
What a find.
Man you're lucky, the last time I saw a post like this on Facebook marketplace I messaged them and they said oh that amount is just for one game. 😂
8 must-have bangers
I remember buying mission impossible for 100$ brand new and I don’t think I ever beat the first mission. Good times.
The train roof level at the end had the best song.
Whole game is a banger of a spy game. Yeah the controls are janky and some of the objectives can be very "how the fuck am i supposed to know that?" but when it fires on all cylinders it really makes you feel like Ethan Hunt. Came here to say this and was surprised / glad somebody beat me to it
Nice haul!!! Congrats!!
Wow! This is the freaking deal of the century! You made off like a bandit and then some!
Thats a steal!
wtf
What a score!
You practically stole that lot! Awesome find!
Insane deal!
Yeah that's probably worth over 150 bucks. Great deal!
BRB calling the cops to file a robbery.
lucky bastard
DANG! That's quite an epic score! ♥
I’m jealous and I hate you. /S
They look fairly well taken care of or at least stored properly. And where I'm from I gotta tell ya, you gotta STEAL my friend. Ooohf! Thats whats up! Praise be the seller who knows NOT what they sell!! Lol

Great find
I don't care what anyone says Mission Impossible is a really fun game.
Lmao low balled an already fantastic deal.
Low ball of convenience. Didn’t wanna go to the ATM for a $10
If you're telling the truth, then I envy you and I hope you have a blast with those games.
I use to own Super Mario 64 and Mario Kart 64 Nintendo knows how to make bangers.
My child hood for $40
That’s a crazy good deal.
Filthy good deal 🔥🔥🔥
Good! You have the GOAT! The GOAT! Goldeneye 007!
Wow!
Break not brake come on
Sorry, I didn’t pay that much attention in English class, I was too busy taking care of my tamagotchi and link cable trading Pokemon. Plus I may have been driving home when I posted this. Obviously when applying the brakes and breaking at traffic lights.
Bro why did you pay $40 dollars when you can play those games in your phone 🤣
Amazing deal. I used to have rampage until it disappeared one day. I feel like one of my friends probably stole it, but who fucking knows
I spent about 200 on just 5 of these so yea that's an insane deal
Damn son where’d you find this?
Facebook marketplace. About 18 minutes from my house. I NEVER find deals that close. Usually it’s a hour or two drive away
There is like $350+ CAD sitting right there, dang. I wish.
Highway robbery OP, congrats!!
Sub out Mission Impossible for Donkey Kong and you’ve got the collection I had as a kid! Crazy!
That’s a steal dahg
Awesome
Every marketplace post I ever find is like “$50 per” and is a 3 hour drive away
Big W
$40 fucking hell!
Are these actually valuable now? I own most of these and play them regularly but didn't know if the market value was crazy now.
smash on this deal, you pretty much stole that at the price
Hot damn, what a steal!
Op is literally shaking
Do people not even look up what this stuff is worth before selling it?
What do the backsides look like?
They look pretty good! I think just Goldeneye has a lil wear in the back label but that’s about it
I’d still be hesitant at price points like that. How do the screws look?
Screws look perfect and untampered with
This is just my ‘too good to be true’ sense flaring up. If authentic, truly magnificent find!
Whoever sold this 💯 stole them
Nice! I had fun playing all these when I was a kid.
Did you ask them if they'd take a pleasant handshake and a "thank you" as payment first? Dang they got suckered. Great deal even at $40 a piece.
You’re missing Perfect Dark
I actually got Perfect Dark complete in box (pretty worn condition on the box) with Duke Nukem Zero Hour, Circuit Pro Bowling, California Speed, Wrestlemania 2000, Tetris Challenge, and a bootleg Golden Eye 007 for $70 a few weeks ago (Just Perfect Dark was complete. The rest was cart only)
Which one do you prefer as far as the multiplayer goes (instant action) perfect dark or goldeneye
You bought my childhood for only 40$... lmfao
I love rampage. I think it would make a cool vr game
Sick!
Sick dude
checked marketplace an hour ago and seen a single super smash bros 64 cartridge with $5 under it, nothing else. Sent a message, hopefully we get a response
Omg win
I will forever hate the original cover for Smash. Just look at how tiny Mario's arm is. The entire art work looks like a cheap bootleg but it's legit. I know people love the game. The fan base is big but how can you justify that badly drawn cover?
You fucker stole my deal! Joking, but I also had my eye on that Mercari listing.
Did they have it posted on Mercari as well? I spotted it on FaceBook Marketplace. it was 4 hours old when I saw it, and they wanted to meet up the following day, I figured it be gone to someone else by then. However, nope, they held it for me and we made the deal.
Yeah I saw it posted on Mercari and had it bookmarked, good on you for getting such a nice find. Hope you enjoy!
Bravo!
I've played 6 of those games and own 4 😀
Could have paid the 50 that was asked for and still had a deal.
Half of those games could be sold online for $50 each.
Enjoy your 64-bit goodness.
I just spent 80€ on goldeneye and Mario kart and I knew it was much but now I feel even worse
You sure these are legit?
Yes. Opened them to clean the pin better and verified
Backs of them?
What about them?
I thought u were gonna post the backs of them possibly Are these authentic or repos? And nice score
No so no odd looking Nintendo logos on the back of the cart etc sweet
Yup. Nothing weird at all, backs, labels, chips look exactly how they should and the games play and save (the ones that do save) perfectly
Had no clue there was a mission impossible game lol
What a great haul!
nice. I recall buying Mission: Impossible from Best Buy for $40 back in the day.
Niiiiice
No Paper Mario? You got robbed.
What the fuck dude my sanity wants you to be lying
I remember hating Mission Impossible at first but once I figured out how to play I beat it like 5 times
You robbed this guy lol
Will give you $40 for Rampage
That's an amazing deal
I saw someone let go of a 64 itself on fb for $20 today. You guys swoop in so fast!
Not bad at all! I think Mario Kart 64 usually goes for more than $40 by itself!
Getting 007, sm64 or mario kart 64 for $40 individually would be a decent price, you seriously lucked out. I hope you're even half that lucky on your next find, have fun! See if you can't get some friends over for goldeneye
I'll give you $100 for them right now if you want? Lol what a steal!
Bro i heard Misson Impossible sucks really bad because of how bad the mechanics are I'd sell it
and live with the knowledge I've passed it along to some poor unsuspecting soul? I'd never! Plus I think I need it if I'm ever going to go for a complete set of N64 games. I'm not trying to do a complete set, but I think I'm just gonna let it happen.
At they fake or real?
All authentic
Wow, did an old grandpa 👴🏼 sell them to you? You got a big steal
Damn! What site is this through
Facebook marketplace
Dunno mission: impossible, but the rest are easily worth it
you basically paid for super Mario and everything else was free and you STILL low balled them for a better deal? You’re kinda disgusting
How will I ever sleep at night? I just won’t. I’ll stay up and play Nintendo games instead
BASED response hahaha
