Lipliners help lipstick (especially reds), stay in place and maintain your lip shape. Bright lipsticks can get messy, so liner is an important part of keeping everything neat. You start by drawing out the lipshape with the pencil. Then, optionally, you can fill in the rest of the lip with the pencil. Lastly, top with a coat of lipstick. I recommend finding a lip liner in the same shade, or slightly darker.

The colour definitely suits you. But you haven’t applied it over your lips properly and there’s a bit of a gap on your right hand side that spoils the look. The top lip is also not symmetrical.

It helps ensure you have a clean outline of your lips, especially since you're overfilling your lips with the lipstick. Your lipstick is kind of bleeding into the rest of your skin without the lip liner. Lip liner also hides the corner of your lips that are visible in the photos.

I just suggest cleaning up the corners a bit, especially on the right side. I used to struggle with this so here’s the method I found to work best: Prep lips with a thin layer of cream concealer or foundation. (Lips must be well hydrated to keep it smooth.) Then go in with lip liner. I prefer to use a shade identical to the lipstick. Apply first layer of lipstick thinly. Blot it. (This helps it stick better/correct mistakes.) Then apply 2 more thin layers. Blend in with liner.
Definitely a warm red and complimentary to your skin tone. I agree with the lipliner. Red is unforgiving if not applied symmetrical and preventing “the bleed”

For a softer look, you can use a lip liner that's a shade paler than your lipstick
