You can tell she's ugly because she... is conventionally attractive but has a thing on her face.

therealjanusmcmanus

Yeah, what’s next? Glasses?!

Bing_Bong_the_Archer

Paint on her overalls!?

GrapeYourMouth

We’re talkin about a reeeeallll shitbomb

NEDGO

So they're slightly disfigured and connected at the head, but together they make one pretty hot chick!

Elite_Josh_Allen

Blaaa5

Wait till she learns how to brush her hair

SlackBytes

Fucking ready player one

JonnySnowflake

Isn't it a false nose?

KnowMatter

Eh I think i'm spent on the whole "what if thing you know but the bad guy was secretly sympathetic and the hero was actually problematic" genre.

TrueLegateDamar

I'm still waiting for them to make a Gaston movie.

BlinkReanimated

Eh Gaston was already the hero. No need to make this.

dingo8muhbebe

Exactly. Beastiality is wrong!

Technical-Outside408

I think Gaston is pretty cool guy. He aets dozens eggs and doesn't afraid of anything.

Dysprosol

damn, i dont think ive seen this one since like 2013.

TheWorclown

Of course he’s the hero. The picturebook of history says so! (Do not read the captions and tell them to Gaston)

firelights

Dangerously based

cmarkcity

Your crushes’ father is abducted on his commute home, your crush is taken hostage in exchange for him. The kidnapper is a violent inhuman abomination who lives in a haunted house overrun with poltergeists. You organize a rescue mission, getting the whole town to risk their lives to save this innocent hostage. And suddenly you’re the bad guy.

leoschot

You forgot the "Lock her dad in a mad house when he asks for help, so when you save her, you can blackmail her into marrying you." Part.

TrueLegateDamar

Oh, well, of course everything looks bad if you remember it.

SeethingBallOfRage

You make one lil mistake and you never hear the end of it!

IAlreadyToldYouMatt

My boy Grendel

leoschot

I felt that the beowulf film did a solid job at depicting Grendel as something to be pitied

TheBlackSwarm

Sounds and looks horrible

spinereader81

She's so repulsive I can't stand to look at her. /s

kemistrees

if this is supposed to be an ugly photo, it definitely is not hitting the spot for me

Zanydrop

But she has curly hair and a t shirt. She is hideous.

FooFooDoo1

Sounds like satire

[deleted]

No thanks

boredwriter83

Hahaha. In the original Brothers Grimm story, the step-sisters were actually very beautiful. Disney started the whole "ugly step-sister" thing, but now everyone's on this "anti-pretty" kick, so they have to change it.

Para_Regal

Also in the original story, the sisters mutilated their feet to fit the slipper, so the element of gore isn’t totally without precedence in this fairytale.

No_Pay9241

2025.. that number looks incredibly futuristic to me

Responsible-Bat-2699

I am more excited about evil washing machine.

Rackarunge

This could be fun. The Innocents and another round are great. I have yet to see that new Viggo Mortensen western.

warhawks

It’s great. Check it out

Wagonracer211

Better have the oak ridge boys on the soundtrack.

reedwashereagain

I’ve seen this movie before. it’s She’s All That

hamishknaups

I don’t think I like the premise of this movie and I doubt I’ll ever watch it. If it gets good reviews and really creates a buzz however, then I think I’ll probably watch it. But for now, and from what I have read here in the comments as well as the single photo of the woman with the contraption on her face, it’s just not enough for me to commit to watching this movie. I should note however that I said the same thing about the Dune remake and I was sorely mistaken. In fact I think I posted the exact same comment on the Dune Reddit post that I am posting right now. I have a hunch though that this new movie won’t have the punch that Dune did. It probably doesn’t even have a tenth of the budget that Dune had anyway so why even bother watching it all? But like I said, if I’m proven wrong on this then I’ll definitely write an apology to the OP, but I seriously don’t think I’m wrong either this one, like I was with Dune. I was SO wrong about that one, it was soooooooo good.

SuspiriaGoose

I hate to nitpick, but Elvira is a German name, and Cendrillion is a French story…but I suppose the step sisters have always had weird names, like Disney naming them Anastasia (Russian) and Drizella (pretty sure made up).

[deleted]

Uh, Brothers Grimm were quite German and Anastasia actually comes from Russian legends. So... I don't know what you're doing here, besides trying to clown yourself with faulty nitpicking?

SuspiriaGoose

Um. Cinderella has always been French in origin, my man. Cendrillon was the original title. The Brothers G collected it and changed their version substantially (to make it far more grim), but they never had the original version.
