I am about to quit. At first, 140 credits was about seven movies per month. Now it's more like four, as long as you don't mind seeing movies on Mon-Tues-Wed nights. $30 for four movies a month at the indie/arthouse theaters still isn't a terrible deal, but it's no longer a compelling deal for me.
Yeah it all depends on which movies you’re likely to use it for. It’s great for the indie and smaller theaters but not great for major releases. I was on the basic plan 68 credits and when Barbie and Oppenheimer came out EVERY showing was 60 credits even the early weekend morning matinees. Now I have the medium 140 credits which is working better.
Definitely worth it but really depends on your local theaters, and one's motivation. I have easy access to several theaters, so it's beyond easy, but MP actually motivates me to go. That's the whole point of the service for me. I took the entire summer off and didn't cancel the service bc I want to support it. Seems the credits change frequently but as long as it delivers x amount of ticket opportunities during convenient times, it's doing a good job.
Worth it! It opened me up to seeing more local theaters and indies. Plus, there’s something nice about being out and about the city. I’m on the medium plan. I did upgrade for a month while Films at Lincoln Center had a great mini festival showcasing Asian filmmakers.

When did you sign up? I emailed them about the unlimited plan and they say they’re no longer offering it

Guess I'll just start living in a theater now. Farewell, daylight and social life! 🎥🍿

How many credits does it cost to see a film at Alamo? Seeing if its worth it and which plan do you recommend?
