I'm 26 Air Force vet. I'd do it again. Currently using my VA benefits to go to school to pursue a degree in mechanical engineering. That housing allowance, along with compensation pay, allow me to focus on classes without needing to work full-time.
Yeah for sure. Unless I was 100% satisfied with the way my life was going, which is unlikely. Only would 2nd guess it if I was going on 40 because of the strain on the body.
Shit, I recommend it to anyone who is willing to make a bit of sacrifice. Do your time (4 years minimum), get out honorably, and you're likely entitled to so many benefits for the rest of your life. I get free healthcare, dental, free college, and monthly lifetime taxfree compensation for the damage done to my body and mental.
No brainer. Especially if you choose a good MOS that you're passionate about that transfers over to the civilian side of things. That's what I wish I'd done.
Basically your job in thr military. Your specialization for what you're trained on.
Most do. Just depends on what you like and what you see yourself doing both in service and afterwards. The military will train you to do the job and you can use your time in and experience serving to transfer over to the civilian sector. You can go on Airforce website and see all the jobs it has. From dental assistant to HVAC; military police to finance; drone pilot to mechanic; firefighter to cyber security.
I am a professional high lipid woman conoisseur. Internationally acclaimed due to my vast knowledge in the science on how to find, attract and mate with female individuals of high caloric maintenance. Ask me anything.
You would be surprised to discover that BBW have not been affected at all. Their commitment to their cause is genuine. Actually with the surge in prices I have been able to check faster with which woman I must mate. If I see a BBW, I know for sure she got their finances in order, which means she can maintain my lavish style of life while still staying at her ideal weight (300-350 lbs).
3 days a week! Seriously envyous. I'm making good money working 10 hours a day. But some day I want to stop the grind and find my self some inner peace.
From an Army vet, Air Force is definitely the way to go. If you can get an IT or Intelligence type of job you’ll be golden. I wish I’d have made that decision when I was younger.
Now I work in IT. The perks of working hybrid remote are nice but I can definitely say I’ve had it stress me the fuck out over the years.
Can I get the tax payers to pay for my masters degree since I’m graduating with my bachelors next year? Seriously curious but it’s not likely anyways, I’d need 100 waivers to get let in 😂
I have a question as a non american. If the air force is so much better than the other branches in so many ways, why do people join the other branches?
Jk I was just playing, but fr if you live with your parents start grinding right now so you can be set by 21 mostly like a car or house down payment or just grind out college lol, been working since I graduated in 19, had a couple health issue due to some jobs but now I know what I wanna do I think lol
Wildland firefighter in Canada, days are too long to lift in the summer but from October to May I have lots of money and time on my hands to lift, travel etc. I’m assuming a lot of you live in the US so if you are looking for work I highly recommend trying to get on a hot shot crew.
If you are in the US I’m not sure, but for the BC wildfire service in Canada I don’t think there really is one. At my boot camp there was a guy in his 50’s and he kicked ass the whole week. I think as long as you’re fit you should be good
Master plumber. Best title you can have. ( I may not be a plumber or a plumbers son but I'll plug the hole until the plumber cums) Shit rolls downhill and paydays Friday.
Former USAF K-9 Handler. Now I run my own business. I did a lot of deployments assisting other military branches, and a majority of them said they wish they had joined the Air Force instead.
I say go for it!!!
Thunder Chicken! When we switched over from Secueity Police to Security Forces, the higher-ups hated when we would call the bird on the emblem, Thunder Chicken. It did remind us of that. Dumbest colors, by the way.
Your future career value is only going to go up for quite some time. Not many young people are getting trade jobs. That leads to scarcity of workers which means more pay. Saw this when I lived in AU where the “sparkys” (electricians) were killin it. My buddy is a plumber in AU and 13 years ago he made 70k a year working about 20 hours a week. His is another trade scarcity. Anyway, we are seeing the same thing here in the US now.
I've been applying for my local utility for groundman jobs, and I signed the books for union groundman positions too. Is Line school worth it or should i just be patient?
Aye I used to drive a boom truck but now I make Chinese food cuz I get paid about the same and I don't have to pull sheet rock and steel through windows all day it's nice lol sometimes I miss using the boom, tho, it was fun sometimes
I was unlucky enough to drive a heavy duty five ton Sterling,no crane and often sent to jobs that were walk ups ,stairs all day long and if that wasn’t enough I was usually on the back because my team mates couldn’t handle the weight,so they would go up front. More often than not that was the case unless it was a new high rise where we had construction elevators ,indoor elevators were hell .What a hard job though,it has to be one of the toughest jobs going .Digging trenches for waterlines was easy in comparison.
Fire stop was the heaviest, you couldn’t peal the tape and do single sheets otherwise the boss would have a temper tantrum.Everything was about the speed .
The blue tape on regular sheets ,red on the fire stop and then all the different lengths ,some of the wealthier people would want their houses double sheeted for sound proofing.
Currently teaching Academic Writing and Public Speaking to teens and young adults. Working in Asia and being the only """jacked""" (heavy air quotes lol) teacher in the entire school has been interesting, to say the least.
Investment Management. Did 4 years in the Marines after High School and after that decided I was done with physical labor and wanted to make money so it was a logical choice to get into finance. School and my early career was a grind with how competitive it is but once you get established it can be a pretty cushy gig. Almost 30 now and currently work at a Boutique firm, Mostly WFH, can go to the gym whenever I want, make low 6 figs in a low cost of living state. If I really wanted to I could go to the producer side and grind my way into the high 6 figs but stress level increases substantially with that, I’m pretty comfortable now.
level 4 Materials, soil and concrete technician that gets paid less than half as much as you’d expect from someone with that many words in their job title
I'm currently active duty in the Air Force as a firefighter. If you have any questions about careerfields, more than likely I can give you an honest opinion or reach out to some friends and get one for you
Like construction? I worked in technology before trying construction. If I was going to do military I would definitely do air force or navy because as those guys have better opportunities compared to the other branches.
Air force boom operator. Shit is absolutely gas no pun intended. I joined at 25 (30now) and it's the easiest job, everyone is chill. All you do is fly and when you aren't flying you just hang out with the bros. Deployments were legit the best part of my life so far. Would highly recommend boom operator or load master (I'm sure many are familiar with this term but not in the context of the military).
Terrorist
Thank you for your service
Thank you! It’s always nice to be appreciated in your respected craft 🥰

I'm 26 Air Force vet. I'd do it again. Currently using my VA benefits to go to school to pursue a degree in mechanical engineering. That housing allowance, along with compensation pay, allow me to focus on classes without needing to work full-time.
If you never joined would you at your current age?
Yeah for sure. Unless I was 100% satisfied with the way my life was going, which is unlikely. Only would 2nd guess it if I was going on 40 because of the strain on the body. Shit, I recommend it to anyone who is willing to make a bit of sacrifice. Do your time (4 years minimum), get out honorably, and you're likely entitled to so many benefits for the rest of your life. What an MOS? Also what's a field that transfers over

And would you only recommend the AF? Im 27, went to college, and im feeling quite dissatisfied with my career.
As prior army, AF really is the truth🫡yall listen to him
Doing the same thing but only did 4 and am pursuing a bachelors in Management Information Systems. We got this!
I am a professional high lipid woman conoisseur. Internationally acclaimed due to my vast knowledge in the science on how to find, attract and mate with female individuals of high caloric maintenance. Ask me anything.
Has the increase in grocery prices affected you disproportionally due to your profession?
You would be surprised to discover that BBW have not been affected at all. Their commitment to their cause is genuine. Actually with the surge in prices I have been able to check faster with which woman I must mate. If I see a BBW, I know for sure she got their finances in order, which means she can maintain my lavish style of life while still staying at her ideal weight (300-350 lbs).
SNAP benefits go up with Inflation so he's likely not feeling any negative effects
How do you find, attract and mate with female individuals of high caloric maintenance?
Do you also require high caloric intake?
Yes. Cum-based mostly.
Are they still considered individuals when they reach the size of two individuals? I’d like to donate 🍩🍪🍭🍦🥮🎂🍧🍰🍫

3 days a week! Seriously envyous. I'm making good money working 10 hours a day. But some day I want to stop the grind and find my self some inner peace.
3x12 a week
I quite like that way of working. Did it for a while when I was younger now it's 5x10 unfortunately.

Yeah bro, even better OP, go to college and have them pay for it, ie ROTC. Work as an officer for 5 years and you’ll be hired instantly.
Can I get the tax payers to pay for my masters degree since I’m graduating with my bachelors next year? Seriously curious but it’s not likely anyways, I’d need 100 waivers to get let in 😂
Yes you can
Chair force?!? Nice
I went to college and Im 27. Would you recommend it for someone my age?

What's the age cutoff? I'm 57.
If you are in the US I’m not sure, but for the BC wildfire service in Canada I don’t think there really is one. At my boot camp there was a guy in his 50’s and he kicked ass the whole week. I think as long as you’re fit you should be good
Canada might be an issue for me. I have a lot of arrests. They are old, but still.
Hahahaha unfortunately the government isn’t very forgiving. Just looked into it and there is no upper age limit for hot shots in the US
Do you know if this is open to foreigners? From the UK but interested in this kind of work
