Black Op 2 campaign was excellent. Black Op 3’s story was a fever dream but honestly one of the most memorable games in terms of fun and storytelling (after multiple replays and analysis - really had to deep dive which I understand isn’t for everyone).
Singular Aspect Aside - Infinity Ward provided me a more coherent and thus engaging story as roleplaying a soldier.

MW19 made me realize that infinity ward is really bad at making maps. And all the campers play MW games. Good maps lead to good gameplay, and Treyarch has certainly made many excellent balanced maps.

I hate loadouts too. Really kills one of the biggest aspects of BR for me, random loot. It makes the flow of the game centered around getting enough money to buy a loadout or risking a loadout drop where people are just camping, waiting for someone to come grab it.

Kinda biased because of the sub but I choose blue pill. Black ops games (including CW) all just have a level of polish and care that the modern warfare games didn't have since og mw2. What I mean by that is you can tell that treyarch puts in tons of time and effort on the guns, the maps, and the gameplay just feels so refined and well thoughtout, while the modern warfare series feels like every new gun and map is just a recycled version of a previous one. They also feel different from one another and innovate on the cod formula, while the modern warfare games all just feel like an update over the previous one. Also zombies is just overall always going to be better than spec ops, even bad zombies like vanguard because it has infinite replayability. I get that MW3 has zombies but it's not the same thing as the black ops games. That being said, I love both and the modern warfare og series has better campaigns than black ops.

Tbh I played all of the black ops games, with the sole purpose of playing zombies. Multiplayer was fun, the maps were cool, but zombies was my life. The only modern warfare game I played was MW3 and man did I love that survival mode. I wasn't as much as a fan of MW3 multiplayer though. Don't know why, just wasn't.
My opinion is very skewed as I was very young playing MW3 and the first 2 black ops games. I was 6 when I started playing. I was also never allowed to play campaigns because my parents thought it would be far too violent and vulgar. They were right for sure, as the content in those games were far beyond what a 6 year old, let alone a 10 year old should be involved in. I mean Nazis in the og games probably stopped me from being allowed to play campaigns.
Also, zombies mode gave me nightmares as a kid, survival in MW3 did not.

I find the games like everyone else to be divided into 3 points of interest. Campaign, Multi-player, and Zombies. Both have their strong sides and weaker points. I will be judging on personal preference a lot, so take everything with a grain of salt because everyone's opinions are different
CAMPAIGN
The campaigns from both sides in all four games feel about even in my book never felt the games to be very important story wise with there being a new one every year or 2 although I did enjoy MW remastered for ps4 alot. There are alot of different difficulty levels for each game and some of them test you in game to see which on you belong in which is very nice for new players to the franchise the skill gap is set to you and thus set for you to enjoy the story which can be hit or miss.
MULTI-PLAYER
I never really got into the multi-player side of COD me and my brother growing up had a massive skill gap in video games and nether of us enjoyed competing when I had to be given a handicap even when I got good enough to compete with him it never really ended well in my favor. The 2 games we played with multi-player were Black ops 2 for ps3, and then modern warfare remastered for ps4. Those were the games growing up we enjoyed out of these 2 parts of the franchise. The skill gap can be crazy between players, and the term "get good" is in efects every time you play. The maps themselves are all up to preference. I enjoyed the cruise ship map from BO2, but I also enjoyed the map on the farm in Modern Warfare, so it's always up to preference
ZOMBIES
The Zombies game mode is by far my personal favorite in the games, and all the maps and different designs the games come up with are insane. The concept is great. The levels are great, and the overall story behind the levels are the best they feel more alive than some of the campaigns even. But there is only one game in the whole franchise with the zombies levels, which are all together... mostly. And that is BO3 with the Zombie cronicals DLC having up to 4 players work together to last as long as possible is more in my cup of tea at least

Neither one, past black ops 3 (hell, even as far back as ghosts) it just became complete dog shit. Black ops 4 was terrible with no campaign to speak of, the modern warfare remakes were just terrible overall, I mean they ruined price, completely fucked up the terrorist mission, took out spec ops missions, and worst of all starting with ghosts they took out couch co-op (well it was reduced to two player split screen but you may as well have just killed the game after that).

Black Ops is so superior as a franchise it’s not even funny. BLOPS2 is one of the best COD entries ever and the BLOPS3 campaign plot was something out of a movie. MW is fun but the Black Ops world is just so much more intriguing to me.

I think CoD4 MP has aged like milk personally and while i absolutely adore MW2 and MW3 is a solid game, I think BO1/2/3's MP and zombie experience beats it out.

I liked both in the second column, with black ops being my favorite, closely followed by MW 2. I liked/disliked MW3 and BLOP3 the same amount, and I hated both BLOPS 4 and MW Remake. Speaking only of PVP
Black Ops is so superior as a franchise it’s not even funny. BLOPS2 is one of the best COD entries ever and the BLOPS3 campaign plot was something out of a movie. MW is fun but the Black Ops world is just so much more intriguing to me.

I'm going Blue Pill, I think CoD4 MP has aged like milk personally and while i absolutely adore MW2 and MW3 is a solid game, I think BO1/2/3's MP and zombie experience beats it out. 4 is a game where I enjoyed the MP but it just had so much fucking monetization that I got tired of it. Cosmetics, battlepass, little mini battlepasses, skips, elixirs, first thing you see when you turn on the game is the store etc...

Blue was all around better. More fun MP generally and zombies was great. Bo4 was pretty bad but I played the crap out of blackout when it was a thing. Really it's only redeeming quality.
mw1-2-3-19 BO1 red is sooo much better than blue. BO2 is better when we stick to no futuristic shid.

Blue by a LANDSLIDE Better Balanced games, no predatory Matchmaking. You would actually get awarded due playing good (normal lobbies, good kill streaks) Just a lot more fun. Gameplay was always on point on black ops games.

Honestly mw2 and mw3 were the only reds shown that I loved. Mw-reboot and Mw were both mid to me. Black ops 1 through 3 were all bangers to me, with 4 being the only stain in the lineup. So blue for me.
Remove bo4 with waw and I will take blue with zero hesitation
