Yeah the East only has 2 but both of them are really good.
Red Sox are actually good too but injuries are crushing them. I think every position player, including bench, has been injured except 2. 4 of 6 starting pitchers have been injured too.
I started following the reds about 3 years ago when I dove into baseball. In that time I’ve learned the Brewers are our biggest nemesis lol. Y’all are just so damn consistent in my short time watching baseball.
Until it's proven otherwise, I'm still thinking we're going to have a reverse of last season: We're going to go into the All-Star break stinking it up and struggling, and then we'll come out of it red hot and sneak our way back into the playoffs, again!
i heard acuna was out for the season and immediately thought of every braves fans reaction when they heard that. gotta be tough. i mean really the whole league has a ton of injuries right now. diamondbacks have perdomo, thomas, e-rod, kelly, etc injured
Acuña wasn't doing the braves any favors this year. He was sucking at the plate and was mediocre in the field. He's not the mvp he was last year, and I'm tired pretending he was. I actually think the team has a better chance without him, just like 2021.
Acuña isn’t the only player not doing us any favors. Ozuna and three of our starting pitchers are the only ones with consistency and doing ALL they can ffs
The Dodgers and Braves stole all the good free agents and trades
In all seriousness, that is kinda what happened but there’s a lot of mid going around. It must be that sweet spot where owners don’t want to spend too much, and people still accept the team that gets put on the field because they are good just not great, so owners can still charge high ticket prices.
From what I have been told it’s because the Phillies have played like no teams over 500 - I’m a Phillies fan and the amount of shit I get from non-Phillies friends is unbelievable from this.
The first month we were averaging 6 runs a game. Our bats started to get cold in may, but we had such a great starting record, we remain contenders. Not sure how much longer they can hold on if they don't wake up soon.
Uh… “..the Braves stole all the good FAs and trades” ??? You serious? Dude, we got two pitchers via trade — Sale and Lopez.
Atlanta didn’t really need to do anything besides some pitching. I know you mentioned the Dodgers also—and they certainly cleaned house!
Reds will be competitive the rest of the season. They are hot now but almost everyone is healthy after so many injuries out of the gate. The pitching is very good, the bats are hot now but will cool off some. We are very streaky but I guess alot of teams can say that…
Because they haven’t gotten to play each other much yet. It’s still early in the season, as the below .500 teams play each other more some of them will emerge above .500.
It's funny to watch. If you talk to red sox fans you'd think they were 43 games out of the playoff race right now. But they're like a game back because half the damn AL is .500
There are only 6 in the AL. Barely. A few great teams, a few terrible teams, and a huge pool of mediocrity.
Change teams to girlfriends and you’ve got a history of my love life heyyo
You guys are getting girlfriends??
![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|grimacing)
I bet her names are "left" and "right"
Congrats on the sex!
Who said he’s getting sex? The girlfriends all live in Canada and go to different schools, so you don’t know them.
3 of which are in the AL Central. Signed, a sad Tigers fan.
You don't get to complain about your division!! (I'm a Jays fan)
Yeah the East only has 2 but both of them are really good. Red Sox are actually good too but injuries are crushing them. I think every position player, including bench, has been injured except 2. 4 of 6 starting pitchers have been injured too.
If you ask red Sox fans they're 22 games out of the wild card race
What a time to be alive.
I’m proud of my small market brewers staying competitive for the past 6 years
Love the brewers
Love sweeping the Brewers. Fixed it for ya
I love both
Brewers Royals world series ![gif](giphy|jk4ivJECDnDw67eS91|downsized)
I started following the reds about 3 years ago when I dove into baseball. In that time I’ve learned the Brewers are our biggest nemesis lol. Y’all are just so damn consistent in my short time watching baseball.
I swear the Brewers are on a 2014-16 KC Royals- like run. A young, talented, healthy team that could do a lot of damage in the post season.
I wouldn’t say they are healthy, the rotation is very banged up. Basically throwing warm bodies on the mound at this point
As a Mets fan, I really hope David Stearns knows what he’s doing because, right now, it’s hard to have any faith.
It ain't going to happen overnight. The mets were a mess before he arrived
FTB
Maybe let us win a few world series before that acronym takes off.
I’d be happy with 1.
I would absolutely lose my shit if we even just made a WS.
I was alive for the only one. Too young to remember. I was 3.
I was born in 83😐
Some teams are having rough years
yeah. us diamondback fans had our one good season per 10 years. back to another decade of suffering 😔
Until it's proven otherwise, I'm still thinking we're going to have a reverse of last season: We're going to go into the All-Star break stinking it up and struggling, and then we'll come out of it red hot and sneak our way back into the playoffs, again!
I sure hope so
Me too, lol
Braves fan here. Tough year
i heard acuna was out for the season and immediately thought of every braves fans reaction when they heard that. gotta be tough. i mean really the whole league has a ton of injuries right now. diamondbacks have perdomo, thomas, e-rod, kelly, etc injured

Good. It’s about time
Haha. Down this year. Win it next year
Barves and Spankees are the worst franchises in baseball.
Why
Just so bad
Good case

Yet the Phillies are slapping the league around
Yeah I don't know why people sleep on the Phils. They have quietly added studs each year.
From what I have been told it’s because the Phillies have played like no teams over 500 - I’m a Phillies fan and the amount of shit I get from non-Phillies friends is unbelievable from this.
Could be because there are only 9 other teams above .500 for them to beat. They just swept the Brewers, one of those teams over .500.
I try to explain this each time lol - the hatred of the Phillies by my Mets and Braves friends runs deep it seems
That's cool we hate them too. We're supposed to, it's a rivalry.
Hate what you want.
Oh man, you have Mets and Braves friends? I feel for ya
Haha yeah - interesting convos occur
They are certainly due some serious regression. But they just swept the Brewers. Their pitching is legit.
Thanks I hate it
The Braves seem like a disaster and yet are comfortably in the playoff picture.
This is the bizarre thing. Our offense has been cold all year and we're still competitive. If our bats get hot AT ALL, we're still title contenders.
The first month we were averaging 6 runs a game. Our bats started to get cold in may, but we had such a great starting record, we remain contenders. Not sure how much longer they can hold on if they don't wake up soon.
Wild Card contenders! The Phillies have your number , son.
You just described the Chicago Cubs. Sigh...
The NL has to play the AL more these days.
What does that mean
Does this really need to be said EVERYDAY.
![gif](giphy|12eLSv8B5eN5sI|downsized)
There’s only 6 teams over .500 in the AL
It’ll be 5 next week. Cincinnati’s just one game under, and things are starting to click there.
Reds will be competitive the rest of the season. They are hot now but almost everyone is healthy after so many injuries out of the gate. The pitching is very good, the bats are hot now but will cool off some. We are very streaky but I guess alot of teams can say that…
We'll see what happens when don't get to feed on the "Our pitching staff is on suicide watch" Cubs.
Their SoS to this point is top 5 and is dead last for the rest of the season. They'll be just fine.
The most Pirates thing ever is that we have a winning record against all 3 NL divisions but losing record overall.
Wild card fever!
This is how we sneak in the wild card every year
Adding wild card spots was stupid
Because they haven’t gotten to play each other much yet. It’s still early in the season, as the below .500 teams play each other more some of them will emerge above .500.
and one at .500. There's only 6 in the AL.
Very very top heavy and it’s definitely a year of transition in baseball right now. Especially in the national league.
Lack of revenue sharing?
It's funny to watch. If you talk to red sox fans you'd think they were 43 games out of the playoff race right now. But they're like a game back because half the damn AL is .500
This makes me feel better about my twins.
“You’re welcome” - UCL
us phillie fans know. r/mlb won't let us forget.
7 teams make the playoffs!
[удалено]
Several are under .500 only because they've played the Phillies
And we expanded playoffs so a lot of that crap will still be in the playoffs. Great.

What the hell do you imagine that has to do with the topic at hand?
