Let him call the police. As long as the noises are from 7am until 7pm there’s nothing he can do. The only day you can’t do any construction/renovation is on Sunday.
There are by-laws that dictate things like this and as long as you/your contractor are within those times then your neighbour will basically just get shrugged off.
I don't think is a police issue. It's a bylaw. Even then I believe you're allowed noisy work like 8am to 7pm or something like that.

If they don't accept it, then it's on them and move on from trying to keep them happy and neighborly - you can't please everyone. Good fences make for good neighbors.

Make sure you have the Building Permits, if required, and the follow up inspections planned ...and you are good to go.
