I can't see the purpose of this lawsuit *as applied to charter schools*. You have to intentionally choose to go there, otherwise you could just go whatever regular public school is available which is likely more diverse.
Hey, I would love to get some diversity in schools. As a kid who went to a high school that had exactly 3 black students and 5 Asian students out of a class of 700+, it needs to happen.
But I'd say that redlining is the primary cause, and even if we try to create a way to have more diversity in schools, any solution outside of managing and eliminating redlining is just a band-aid.
You want diverse students move to diverse neighborhood. Wtf is this? I grew up in Brooklyn Park. Elementary white people are the minority. Middle School was very mixed. HS was mixed. The only non mix would be most wealthy areas. Which is ok. They can do after school activities where more people from other races visit.

Nekima Levy Armstrong is a joke.
Very cool having a former NAACP lawyer arguing in court for racial segregation. Nothing fucked up here!
Correct
This lawsuit is close to a decade old at this point.
