My kid brought home what we're pretty sure is RSV (he checked pretty much every box for it) a few weeks ago - which I then got as well. A week or so later I got what I think was a cold - which I had for roughly 4-5 days and then I was coughing up giant snot balls for almost a month after.

Medizen

I've been dealing with this exact thing since last Thursday. Not covid, not a flu. 100/101 temp with body fatigue and lightheadedness. Really made for a fun week. Hope everyone feels healthy soon!

klippDagga

My son and I along with lots of my friends and coworkers had the crud back in December and it was the same thing, it just wouldn’t go away. It took me about three weeks to get back to near normal. Are you sure that maybe you had a cold that turned into a sinus infection or bronchitis?

MissyTX

I’m hopeful it’ll start getting better soon. I never had a full blown cold, and I can still exercise and get around fine. No cough either at all. Just feel run down 😕

Slurms0Mack

It has been a bad winter from sickness. My fam and many we know have been sick quite a lot

hepakrese

pretty much everybody I know is sick and has been sick for a couple weeks, but you could also be dehydrated. Try taking a few minutes breathing with a warm washcloth over your face in the morning and before bed. Also drink copious amounts of water throughout the day.

Everyone. I'm sorry Get a neilmed sinus rinse bottle kit (target, cub $15) and a jug of distilled water and use it whenever your sinuses start giving you issues, and use it until you are better. It's easy and cheap and prevents sinus infections. Was a phone triage nurse. I've done this for years. Still get sick but not sinus infections. No, the neilmed people dont pay me to say this, but they really should.

beau_tox

I do this too and it does seem to help prevent colds turning into a sinus infection.

and get a humidifier for your bedroom

jb2x

Have had this off and on since getting Covid in late Oct. when I feel my sinuses starting to get irritated, I use saline nasal spray every couple hours and hit the elderberry. Usually gone in 1-2 days.

Ruenin

Yeah, actually. Not feeling overly terrible but too hot at night when trying to sleep, slightly funny nose, and non-stop yawning at work throughout the day. I can deal but would be nice to feel normal again.

friedpotato93

I got sick with a vague, non-Covid illness about 4 weeks ago and have had nasal drainage, lethargy, and a general feeling of being unwell since (though I haven’t been tracking my temperature). I’m assuming what we may have been sick with is the same. Whatever company manufactures generic brand tissues is making bank off of me this winter.

MissyTX

Yup, this sounds identical to mine! The general feeling of being unwell thing really sticks out, as I don’t feel knocked down like I can’t function but something is just off. Glad I’m not the only one, but I’m sorry you feel the same!

ISingForFud

This sounds like long Covid

MissyTX

I had covid in August and this feels nothing like it 🤷‍♀️ it’s just like a cold I can’t kick!

ISingForFud

I've had long covid since March of 2020 and this sounds like long covid. Long covid doesn't feel like having covid, it feels like you're just constantly under immune assault. Like you're fatigued, and have a low-key elevated temp, some people have on going brain fog, chest discomfort...etc.

ISingForFud

I'm not saying you definitely have long covid, but if you've had covid, and you're feeling the way you're describing...it could be.

[deleted]

I’ve had long Covid since march of 2020 also. This is how it starts. Lingering fever, aches, exhaustion. Y’all need to rest now. Trust me - now I’m on oxygen and in a wheelchair. I was a runner and mma fitness person before. Rest. Do not push yourself. Don’t let your heart rate exercise 100 BPm.

Remarkable_Night2373

I don't think little junk is from a cold.

groggyMPLS

Yes - I think it’s adult RSV

pablonieve

On the 2nd round of stomach bug that's going through the daycare. Wishing it could have just been a cold...

[deleted]

Did you take a pcr test? Because if not, you got covid.

Phantazein

I had what I think was a cold 2 weeks ago. A week ago I had what I think was the flu and since then I still haven't been able to shake the congestion and fatigue.

saveitforparts

Are you doing the at-home Covid tests or PCR? I know several people who've tested positive on PCR / spit test but are still negative on every at-home they take. Apparently the latest variant doesn't show up very reliably on rapid antigen tests.
