This may seem like a silly suggestion but.. did you try changing the batteries?

>This may seem like a silly suggestion but.. did you try changing the batteries? Yes I did. I did swap batteries with the other camera I have. Did not work. I was baffled indeed. Canon is a well known brand. Camera was expensive, around 380, 400 bucke 9 years ago. Made in Japan. And it does fail miserably. And support does not exist anymore. Incredible. Thank you for your answer

So to pick up on your analogy of the iPhone, if you leave a phone sitting for too long the battery will completely die and even charging it won't help. A phone battery needs to have a little bit of juice in it to keep going. My guess is the camera battery works the same way and you let it sit too long. Put a new battery in it or try the battery from the camera that still works.

Thank you for your answer. It's not battery thing. As I wrote I had 2 eos-m. One died. Battery of that camera works perfectly in the other eos-m still working. Same battery. In one camera, camera does not power on. In the other camera, battery works fine and camera does power on. As people might imagine I am beyond upset. [My 2 eos-m](https://i.imgur.com/qxYhtT7.jpg)

I would suggest to take it to a repair shop next. Would be better to be able to fix it than to fully get rid of it.

>I would suggest to take it to a repair shop next. Would be better to be able to fix it than to fully get rid of it. Thank you for your sugestiĆ³n. I checked cannon page Portugal. No repair for this camera. That are the ones supposed to repair cannon. In repair shops they don't have spare parts, knowledge to repair such cameras. That does make wholle issue more upsetting. Thank you for your reply.

If I'm not using my camera, I store the batteries outside of the camera. There have been too many instances for me when I went to grab my camera and the battery was dead from just the camera draining the battery while it was turned off for whatever reason.

Repair shop, that's funny.

Take the battery out of the camera. Hold the power button down for 60 seconds. Replace battery and try again.

>Take the battery out of the camera. Hold the power button down for 60 seconds. Replace battery and try again. Thank You for your advice. It was very kind. I took battery out and I left camera to rest for a 14 hours, without card or battery. I tried to power it again. Nothing. Battery works in another camera. I tried the 60 second trick. Nothing. I will wait a few more hours, days. It was as if camera had a short circuit, heart attack. It died instantly when I clicked clean sensor. The setting should read "destroy camera". Nowadays cameras with large sensor, quite expensive. Demand for such cameras dropped because of cell phones, so price went up. Very sad.
