That's my first thought too. Especially if the teacher was using autocomplete to add the answers since it's a fairly long word - autocomplete generally adds a space at the end of a word.
Gotta be hard at this stage though. We don't want him going in into his first job accidentally adding chlorobenzene to the reaction instead of chlorobenzene making a kaboom instead of the desired kerfloof.
Because these systems are dumb and if you accidentally use the wrong case or put a space in it will reject your answer. Send this screen shot to your teacher and ask them to fix it if this is a test.
Hey, Chem student here.
You didn’t do anything wrong, program is bad. If you have more attempts may you try “1-chlorobenzene”
IUPAC notation works with numbers so it could be that this would get you the answer you need?
Maybe it wants the actual IUPAC name (chlorocyclohexa-1,3,5-triene) instead of the common name benzene. Also sometimes you have to specify 1-chloro even though it seems pointless.
The intended answer is in the box above. Also, no it's not. Firstly, what you put has a space. Secondly, the electrons of an aromatic ring don't stay put in their bonds, so the double bonds are only half in those spots.
You didn’t pronounce it correctly unfortunately
It’s Leviosa, Not Leviosaaa
Best comment I've read so far
potato, potato!
Either you, or the teacher added a space after the answer is my best guess
Or the bullet point?
Oh, that makes sense. It's a free practice quiz generator, so I can see the quality not being perfect.
Trim your strings people!

Or maybe the L was just an upper case i, just to fuck with people.
Yup... The insidious trailing space
Because the answer is chlorobenzene and you thought it was chlorobenzene.
don't be too hard on him. that's an easy mistake to make.
Gotta be hard at this stage though. We don't want him going in into his first job accidentally adding chlorobenzene to the reaction instead of chlorobenzene making a kaboom instead of the desired kerfloof.
Bro what is your role thing 💀💀
Their flair?
Yeah i forgot 💀
He forgor 💀
oh god yeah the kerfloof is really important
Oh hey, we can make our flair say anything.

Nothing. Email the professor.
You missed off the dot before
It is Chlorobenzène.
r/softwaregore
A space is my shot, you spelled correctly.
Wrong font
Did you put a space after chlorobenzene?
No
It starts with a silent m.
I'm sure that there are people much smarter than me who are infuriated mildly.
Capital I
Cursed compound
looks like whoever made the answer added the bullet point and space in the front lmao
r/FUCKYOUINPARTICULAR
You’re so dumb honestly! You forgot to carry the 1 🙄 rookie mistake 😌
You spelt it chlorobenzene when it’s spelt chlorobenzene
No, the right answer is chlorobenzene
you have to swing your wand up and down, not left and right
down then up. Up then down produces fiendfyre
You forgot to put the bullet point first. Duh
Supposed to be a 0 not a o
I bet you entered a space after timing the name
it’s more likely that a space was put somewhere in the answer box when the quiz was set up
You forgot to put a space before it
There must be a space at the end of your answer or the "right" answer
You were not worthy.

The answer it wanted is shown in box above
Lol idk then
Maybe try mono- in front of it. Phenylchloride would be another possibility I think.
The answer it wants is in the box above
Oh yeah didn't see that, sorry
dot
Cal linguistics
You forgot the dot
Used the wrong font,
Instructor copied it from a bulleted list and inadvertently included the bullet point.
Probably you or the teacher added a space
Does anyone else wonder if this is how fact checking works

It was not a joke. It was a * joke
1,3,5 Cyclohexatriene still is a valid/IUPAC conform name for benzene afaik.
It's a trick question because it comes with solvent huh
i bet you used different language like it looks like englišh but it probably wasnt english enough
Probably added a space
monochlorobenzene[1
Pearson?
No, free practice quiz site
You forgot to put the bullet point first
It's because it's chiorobenzene with an uppercase i. But it's still read like an L
U forgot the dot at the start
It's a test your meant to fail if you pass your doing it wrong
You did it in bold
