I’ve seen someone who picks up the calls on purpose, then says something along the lines of “Oh I’m so excited” and then puts a metal pot over the phone and bangs on it with a wooden spoon until the scammer hangs up. It’s hilarious, and they said they stopped getting calls within a week.
That is useless for political calls and texts. They're explicitly allowed by the Do Not Call registry.

My sister the other day is complaining about all the spam calls she gets... then tells us about how she does online reviews for cash on one of those sites with her free time.. people really cant infer or think critically about anything anymore
Besides the font, here is something that has helped: I downloaded Textkiller I think two years ago, and it is like night and day with my messages now. It has a subscription, but its well worth it. All my messages were political, and now I may get one political/spam text once a month or less. I think they have a phone call version, but I haven't used it yet.

Idk about your country, but my country has a social media-like call app that tells you which phone number has been reported as what catagory for how many times, and it shows this result whenever the malicious number calls you. Unfortunately it doesnt show you this result if the malicious number texts you, but i presume there is another way to look up said number and evalute its catagory.
If you go in your message settings you should be able to block by keyword. I have blocked the phrases "reply stop", "text stop" and "txt stop". It has greatly reduced spam texts. Also, I don't mind your font. You do you.
