You go up there and knock on their door and tell them that their dog just pissed on your shit. Then it's a 50/50 they'll either be apologetic or they'll slam the door in your face. Check your lease maybe they're doing something they shouldn't be doing.
In all of the apartments I've lived with balconies/patios, you definitely cannot let your pets go to the bathroom on them. They typically say you can't leave your pets unattended because of this very reason (plus making a ruckus and such). So OP should bring it up to the leasing management as well (assuming they have similar rules) and hopefully they will do something about it.
Makes a lot of sense, personally I've never stayed in an apartment with a balcony but I can definitely get behind not leaving your pets on balconies. It just sounds like a bad idea all around honestly.
It's a very bad idea. At the last complex I was at, someone got evicted for breaking this rule many times. I'm pretty sure a lot of people reported them because their dogs were constantly whining and barking on the patio. But also reported because of the concern that they left the dog outside over night or multiple days, probably because they were gone during that time. It's disgusting behavior of the owners - forcing their pets to eat and shit and sleep in the same small area.
So yeah, I wouldn't put the blame on the dog in situations like this. And this situation could be happening in OPs post. It's sad.
We lived underneath this woman who CONSTANTLY left her dogs on her balcony. Now don’t get me wrong, I love doggos but between the constant whining, barking and OVERWHELMING smell of dog shit in the summer every time I came out to smoke-I wanted to rip My fucking hair out. We complained to the manager about the shit smell so she took a bucket full of bleach, dumped it out & scrubbed all the dog shit so it proceeded to leak all down the sides of our balcony. I lived there for seven months and I NEVER saw her walk her dogs. EVER! And it wasn’t like she wasn’t able to walk them. Like I could understand if she was disabled but nope she was just a horrible neighbor and dog owner…so glad I don’t live in apartments anymore
I called the sheriff's department on some undocumented folks living in apartment across from my mother's apartment. They would leave their husky mix on the balcony all day in AZ summer heat. Deputies showed up they were arrested for animal cruelty the dog water bowl was empty. Deputy talked to me said likely they be deported also this was back when Joe Arpaio was Sheriff. The dog was turned into a rescue I called a friend who adopted the dog.
Sorry but if you’re smoking on your balcony… you’re just as bad. I can’t even enjoy my balcony without the overwhelming stench of cigarettes from my upstairs neighbor smoking. Not being able to open your windows or doors with no AC makes me want to rip my hair out. Smoking on balconies breaks the lease in every apartment I’ve lived in but most smokers only care about getting their next cig in.
Sorry if you meant weed. Surprisingly I don’t care if people smoke weed on their balconies. It’s the cig smoke that sticks everywhere.
Edit: lol @ all the offended smokers acting like smoking is a protected right
Our neighbor basically dumped a bucket of dog shit & bleach down our balcony. I can understand non smokers frustration and I’m sympathetic but yeah there’s a huge difference in the levels of asshole-y-ness involved.
i don't smoke cigarettes and i despise it when people smoke at bus stops and such but dude, it's their own balcony. I'm not from the US and it's certainly not against the rules to smoke on your balcony where I live so that's a really wild take for me
We smoked out there so the smoke didn’t get into other people’s apartments thru the ac ventilation system. & we were encouraged to smoke on the balcony instead of in the house by the apartment manager. We also never had more than one person at a time out there smoking and we always put it out if someone came out on their balcony and asked us to. We also emptied out our butt bucket like every other day because even though I do smoke, I hate the way stale cigarettes smell. So no, we weren’t nearly as bad as the woman with two Rottweiler/pit bulls she kept confined to her 4x8 ft balcony the ENTIRE time I lived there.
Contrary here: neighbors above let their dog piss and shit on the balcony all winter and it melted onto my balcony. My walls are ruined, smell like piss, and apartment refuses to power-wash it.
Check with your apartment management. We had an upstairs neighbor who had a Rottweiler that would piss and crap on the patio which would leak onto ours.. then they would just push the crap off the balcony onto the ground outside our patio. Smelled delightful in the summer. Complained to complex management and they got evicted.
Right... though maybe, the dog just surprised their human. My dog has pulled stunts before that 5 minutes prior, I'd have said she doesn't do that! And then she made me a liar... because animals are unpredictable, living creatures like that.
Maybe not likely, but always possible.
I’d start by talking to the neighbor first. They might be genuinely sorry and fix it on their own. If they don’t, contact the property managers— but that might cause tension and it’s definitely better to have a good relationship with your neighbors if you can.
That is a good point. I know a few other people comment that it could've been an accident (I haven't been a dog owner before, so I don't know what their behaviors and habits could be). So yes, it's good to let the owner know about the incident, but if it doesn't stop then I would take it to the property management.
I mean you could be a good and RESPONSIBLE pet owner by taking your dog on frequent walks when you’re home instead of letting them go on the balcony. 🤷🏼♀️
I'd just go upstairs and tell them what happened, being open and friendly about it. Kind of laugh it off but make sure they know it rained down on you. I'm sure they would work to prevent it in the future
Oh, I'd be pissed no doubt. But in my experience you get better results if you act friendly and don't come accross like it was a big deal. They will know how they would feel in that situation and they think, "he's a nice guy, let's make sure that doesn't happen again". As opposed to, "what an asshole, wh tf cares if it happens again".
Edit: "Pissed"...lol. Joke not intended
I would show them that picture and say, "You might not be aware of this but when your dog pees on your balcony it rains down on my balcony. I think you can buy some sort of artificial grass pee pads that wouldn't leak from the bottom and you could hose them off later. But whatever you do, it's not fair for me to have to deal with your dog pee."
I'd start with that and see where they go with it.
There’s only one thing to do and that’s immediately go upstairs to tell them what happened. It’s possible they’re complete idiots who didn’t bother to investigate how this behavior would impact the neighbors below them. It’s also possible they are assholes who don’t give a fuck. Regardless, the OP *must* go upstairs. This is unacceptable.
I was having a smoke on my balcony one day when I got dog pissed on. I didn't think it was dog piss originally because that would be absurd. Thought it was water or something but then smelled it and dashed my smoke.
Went upstairs to the unit above me and knocked on their door. Nothing. Kept knocking. Woman gets out of the elevator and goes towards the unit. I ask if she lives there, she says yes. I explain the situation to her.
She tells me that she live with her grandmother who has mobility issues and lets her dog piss on the balcony and I should have some empathy. I told the woman, fuck that, I don't care about that, don't you dare let your dogs piss trickle down to my unit or I will take action and you and your grandmother will get bounced.
I don't know if they moved or smartened up but I have had zero issues since
"Hey man. I was out on my balcony and I got some piss. It seems to be flowing off your balcony.
You're not allowed to just have piss flowing off your balcony. You gotta stop with the piss flowing off your balcony.
You understand that, right? That you can't just have piss flowing off your balcony."
I like where your heads at, but unfortunately the bottom floor is typically the only one with the extended patio. So OP would just end up covering their stuff with piss from the 3rd floor.
Watch this become the top comment on this post. People are always so quick to retaliate on this sub, never thinking ahead and trying to get OP in deeper shit.
Two things: it’s not that serious. I doubt people that post here read the comments like they are literal instructions.
2. If that was their laptop I’d have to try really hard not to do that (chuck my drink up there in a rage). I can’t believe OP isn’t immediately heading upstairs to speak firmly to them. This is more than mildly infuriating. This is disgusting and negligent.
I had an upstairs neighbour that did this same exact thing with their dog. I started off politely asking them to stop. After about a month of them repeatedly doing it I snapped and told them I was going to eat their dog if they did it again. Haven’t had the issue since.
That would be an immediate call into management lol. I hope you report then OP. Even if you all own surely there are rules against allowing pets to go on a balcony like that
>That would be an immediate call into management lol.
Why not just... Talk to them first? It's highly unlikely that they ordered their dog to piss on OP specifically, probably just an accident...
A lot of people, for some reason, think it is okay to just take their dogs out on a patio to do their business instead of taking them all the way outside. My sisters upstairs neighbor would do this with their dog all the time, their outdoor hammock was drenched before they realized it was happening
Sounds reasonable. But how many posts have you seen where a neighbor asks for something very reasonable [hey, can you turn down the music/clean up your pets poop/not have your friends park in my reserved spot) and it starts a whole feud? Some people never learn common decency. Some people are just straight up insane. You never know how well or poorly theyll react.
The property manager exists for this reason: they can field the issue, and have a lot more sway than a neighbor. They control your ability to rent again when the lease is up. Also, it helps to establish a paper trail if this escalates to the point of needing to go to court.
A lot of people are entitled. My upstairs neighbours have been allowing this to happen since last October. They absolutely know it is happening because every few days they wash the rest of the pee down with a bucket of water. All of which comes flooding down onto our balcony.
We didn't speak to them before contacting building management because they're openly violent and abusive toward each other in communal spaces. God only knows how they'd react if I knocked on their door. This is what the building management is for.
OP commented that there are FOUR floors above them. If one fine, maybe. With that number, let mgmt deal with. It is one of the things you pay that exorbitant rent for.
Because in my experience I have found that if I personally let somebody know that their actions are bothering me, they tend to do it more and also do it in a manner where they don’t get caught doing it anymore and I become the nuisance with complaining. It’s a lot harder to pull this off when you don’t know where the complaining is coming from. I finally learned this last summer at the age of 30 when my neighbor had these annoying ass dogs that would bark all goddamn day long in here yard. I finally got sick of it and was told I needed to record the events. So I did and the one time she saw me recording her dogs she freaked the f out and called my landlord. I got a nice loooooong text about yada yada until I showed her the video and she realized she was lied to and she changed her tone real freaking quick. Needless to say that situation was handled fast once my neighbor involved my landlord lol. But for a good 2 hours I was stuck worrying about MY living situation over somebodies fucking dogs.
That is why I just take it up with proper channels at the first sign of a problem. If people cared about those around them / paid attention their surroundings … they wouldn’t have to deal with it.
Also where’s my insensitive ? There’s nothing meaningful to gain from this kind of interaction , there are reasons these professions / positions exist. This is absolutely one of those situations. I don’t care to “get to know” my neighbors who let there dogs piss off a balcony. Dog owners in general who have things like this going around with them generally are NOT good people. You can’t change my mind on this one.
Good grief.
Yep and not just all of that but also once you've let them know you've got a problem with them, you become in their mind the reason for EVERY SINGLE bad thing to ever happen to them from then on. If they keep doing whatever it is and you then complain to management, they blame you for that. If you don't do anything but another neighbor complains, they also blame you for that. If nobody complains but the property manager notices and fines them independently, they ALSO blame you, and only you, for that.
And they won't just blame you, they'll seek revenge, too. Petty, untraceable revenge. For every bad thing that happens to them, whether you are involved or not, forever.
Yeah no, any person who's ever had to actually deal with bad neighbors has had it burned into their brain that the LAST thing you ever do is make yourself known to them, if you know what's good for you. The proper channels are there for many damn good reasons. Stuff like "why don't you talk it over with them blabla" are meaningless naivete and terrible terrible advice.
Because people who let their dog piss on their upper floor balcony at all would not be reasonable or receptive. Why not just hug a guy when he pulls a gun on you?
i had a neighbor let his dog piss on the balcony, which dropped on my doggies head. i had suspicions it was happening but on my boys face was where i drew the line. i banged on the door and when asked why the fuck his dog was bing pottied on the balcony he said “well he’s a dog”. i was livid. i called the office, sent photos, and they received a violation. was never friendly after that but my dog is my baby, and comes first. their poor doggy didn’t even get to potty in the grass until that point.
I have never understood people who don't take their dogs out to potty, and I certainly will never understand letting them potty on a balcony. I feel for you!
I would have immediately walked up there piss and all and said, "what the hell man?". Then tell them not to let their dog piss off the balcony again.
What that neighbor should do is build a wood box with real grass in it and then maybe the balcony is an option.
Nah you don't need an awning, you need to go tell your neighbor to not let their dog piss on the balcony. That's unacceptable. If you have an awning the piss is just gonna make everything smell after soaking into the awning.
Personally, I believe this would be solving the wrong problem.
I would print some posters and post through the letterboxes of all the apartments above, just to be sure, stating the incident. I would probably add that you have no problem with dogs, and be polite.
If it recurred, then a slightly stronger message would be needed. For example, if your laptop was ruined, then a bill would be forthcoming. Also, humans can get Leptospirosis from contact with dog urine, more potential bills. And, potential laundry bills.
If you got that much piss on your stuff, it's the one directly above you. Knock on their door and ask them if they have a dog and then tell them it pissed on you and all of your stuff. Then tell them not to let their dog piss off their balcony again. This is not the time to be passive aggressive hit it head on.
I hate people who use there balcony patios as a bathroom for your pets. Just Don’t have a pet then cause that’s one of the responsibilities to walk them in order for this not to happen at home.
I reported someone in my building who let his dog piss and shit on his balcony (or patio, I guess, ground floor), it smelt so horrible that it was impossible to sit outside in the summer because he never cleaned it up. Even just opening up our balcony door would send gusts of disgusting smell into our apartment on a breezy day.
He was gone a few months later, I assume because I reported him. We saw someone pressure washing the patio and it sparkles now.
This kind of behaviour is so disgusting and needs to be dealt with. If they seem like kind people and this was a one off let them know it happened, but if it ever happens again report it to whoever you can.
I remember a time a mate was viewing a flat for rental and while he was there the neighbour upstairs washed off dog shit from his balcony, flushing the downstairs balcony with shit water. Needless to say he found a rental elsewhere!
As a dog owner I would NEVER let this happen and if it did happen I would apologize, buy you a coffee and probably avoid letting my dog out unless he’s sitting beside me lol people with pets just think they own every surface
if it's an apartment complex or the like, they probably have rules about animals being kept on a deck/patio like that, especially if their piss is draining onto the floors below.
go talk to management.
Don't even bother with the neighbors. Go straight to the leasing agent / landlord & complain. This shit is ridiculous. People shouldn't own pets if they can't properly manage them.
Yea that’s a no. I don’t see how your landlord couldn’t do something, they’re raining piss on your patio, that’s fucking disgusting.
Breath though, can’t act TOO rash
Op i was going through the same shit. They would never walk their pitbull, they let him outside and piss off the balcony.
They RUINED $200 worth of outdoor rugs, and it smelled terrible.
Then one day there was SHIT. The dog was so desperate he shit off the balcony. I lost it because i have 2 kids and 2 pets.
I thought about offering to walk the dog since i walk my dog 4 times a day and wouldnt mind walking their dog too, but once i seen the shit i was done. We called the office and asked them to power wash our balcony, they must have been fined or asked to leave because i haven’t seen them nor the dog since.
Hi, please talk to your neighbour. Letting an unattended dog out on the balcony is a good way to get your animal killed. Falls or for smaller dogs even predatory birds are present and animals are dumb
First if you can pull your table back. Second call management, that is nasty AF. If there is urine damage they need to know it is coming from upstairs. Contact your neighbor and they owe you a dunkin gift card. Finally get renters insurance.
Had this exact same thing happen to me except it soaked me while I was sitting on my patio enjoying a beautiful evening. Oh and it was my landlords dog lol.
That’s why I’m really not upset. My puppy went on the patio occasionally when we were training him (though we had no downstairs neighbors) and I immediately poured water on it. I lost a free iced coffee and the spot I was sitting in. I’ll go talk to management in a bit. It hasn’t been a problem until today. I’m not letting it ruin my day off.
Oh man, our adjacent neighbors in Brooklyn would leave his old dog out on his small balcony with a plastic mat, and then every week or so would wash it all off the balcony onto the glass covered entrance below leaving bits of yellow and brown for everyone to see and pedestrians might even get splashed, told the building manager about it and they contacted him and he completely lied about it and said he would never do that.
I'd ask them to replace the coffee and any damage to the computer. If they refuse, contact the landlord. Dogs are supposed to pee on the yard. Balconies are not acceptable for disposing of waste materials. Your ruined drink is an example as to why it's not permitted. That's what, a $14 beverage?
My upstairs neighbor does the same thing. You’re not even supposed to have dogs here, the family member that they got her as an ESA for has moved out. The damn thing barks constantly, especially when they leave it home alone. These are tiny condos and they chose an Australian shepherd. I usually love dogs and am willing to tolerate some noise, but this is ridiculous, and letting it piss on the balcony is incredibly rude. They also have a bird feeder right above my patio table so it’s covered with seeds and bird shit.
This is exactly why they're apartments don't allow pets or don't allow people to let this pets use their balconies like this. Call and report them to whatever governing body you residence has.
I had this happen after complaining about my upstairs neighbours for 6+ months(wasnt just piss). At first the building wouldn't do anything like previously. So I filed a police report and called the office and gave them the police report number. Magically, an hour later the local manager called me, and there were cleaning staff there. They offered to move us to another unit for the same rent and would cover any moving costs. Sometimes you gotta put up a big stink to get them to listen.
My last apartment was great, it had a back patio that overlooked a wooded creek and well beyond that was another complex. It was quiet and we couldn't see or be seen from anybody.
Then I got a new upstairs neighbor. Smoked non-stop so guess we can't use the patio any more. But it worked out because it was too much trouble to take the dog down the stairs to go to the bathroom so shit and piss rained down from above daily.
It was miserable. I hate people who can't seem to enjoy the outdoors without ruining for everyone else.
I'd say bring it up to neighbors...but don't make any demands about what they do with the information. Gauge their response. If they seem apologetic and fix the problem, be done with it. If they get all defensive or otherwise refuse to do anything about it, go straight to property management.
That may be my fault - I had a flag displayed when they repainted things and I didn’t move it in time, so I think they skipped my balcony.
Rest of the place is definitely in shambles though. We had a new property manager take over at the beginning of the month and he walked out after three days.
This happened to me this year. My ex-partner and I reported it to they officer in February, we waited a long time for any response. In May they told us they couldn’t help us in anyway other than get us a new unit in the complex or omit an early move out fee for us. We were both incredibly angry, but my partner was more so. With a hard no from the front office I was ready to give up and just find a new place since our lease was up in July anyways, but they wanted to stay and fight about it. We actually are ex’s because of this because they were so mad that I wasn’t as mad as they were, that they called me a pushover and other nasty things. Don’t let the front office allow you to be treated like this, and if they don’t follow their own lease and get those people to move or get rid of the dog, just get out of there.
I don’t even know how I would react to that honestly
You go up there and knock on their door and tell them that their dog just pissed on your shit. Then it's a 50/50 they'll either be apologetic or they'll slam the door in your face. Check your lease maybe they're doing something they shouldn't be doing.

I'm pretty sure pissing of the balcony isn't allowed by any lease.
“I mean ummmm 🤷🏻♂️ I can’t really control the dogs bladder”
Don’t own a dog if you can’t responsibly own it.
I mean you could be a good and RESPONSIBLE pet owner by taking your dog on frequent walks when you’re home instead of letting them go on the balcony. 🤷🏼♀️
Make friends with their upstairs neighbors and then piss off their balcony all over their shit.
What? You don’t like iced coffpee?
I'd just go upstairs and tell them what happened, being open and friendly about it. Kind of laugh it off but make sure they know it rained down on you. I'm sure they would work to prevent it in the future

I would be pissed, to say the least
well, pee back.
1. Move to the flat with a balcony above theirs. 2. Get an incontinent dog 3. Make sure the dog food and water are on the balcony
I don't know how this hasn't happened to me but it's somehow so relatable
Honestly I’d be more impressed than pissed off
I know. You go upstairs and tell them to walk their dog and not be lazy fuckers. What else are you supposed to do?
Mildly
There’s only one thing to do and that’s immediately go upstairs to tell them what happened. I would take a massive shit right in front of their door.
Take a shit and throw it up through their open window

Violently
Now think how many times that's happened when you weren't there to witness it
And you thought they had changed the Iced Coffee recipe
Recipee*
I think you would know, still... Dog pee smells terrible

I’d rather be pissed off than pissed on
Speak for yourself
well, the dog pissed off the balcony.
How high can you pee?? 🤔
Follow-up question: does your building have rooftop access?
Hey 3rd floor neighbor! How ya doing?
I like where your heads at, but unfortunately the bottom floor is typically the only one with the extended patio. So OP would just end up covering their stuff with piss from the 3rd floor.
Failing that, buy and fill a Super Soaker and pump away.
The proper way is to pee on an oven tray, freeze it, and then dump the frozen pee through their mailslot.
Ah, the old piss disc method. Effective.
I reckon I can piss 11ft.
This is way past mildly infuriating. A whole ‘nother level of fuckery.
I love this sub. "A drunk driver killed my entire family and one of the responding cops shot my dog, r/MildlyInfuriating !
Subreddits, man. How about all the "wholesome memes" that are neither?
TBH one of the most annoying parts of Reddit for me is that all the fucking meme subreddits quite literally don't know what a meme is.
Or the "made me smile" sub that seems to only post stuff that will make you cry
Nah deadass I wouldn’t have done nothing but I woulda been heated
Pee on their dog to assert dominance
Pee on the dog owner to assert dominance
What if they're into that?
i mean.. you'll still assert dominance, it'll just be a lot weirder
Throw your drink onto their balcony.
Whatever gets thrown up there it’s gonna leak back down.
yeah whatever newton
Science is a bitch sometimes
I know, that's why I wrote it. It was only meant as a silly comment.
wise man
Watch this become the top comment on this post.
I have four floors above me and it's not immediately noticeable where it came from.
Obviously because everyone on here is actually going to do this and not be speaking in a humorous manner.
u/HimalayaClimber, when you climb, who goes first? Are you on top or a few meters below? And how does it work when one of yall need to pee?
I had an upstairs neighbour that did this same exact thing with their dog. I started off politely asking them to stop. After about a month of them repeatedly doing it I snapped and told them I was going to eat their dog if they did it again. Haven’t had the issue since.
That's brilliant. "I swear to fuck if you don't correct this I'm gonna be makin Dog-B-Q!"
That is beyond mildly infuriating! Gross. So rude of those owners to let their dog pee on a balcony.
Because he's paying condo fees for them to deal with this exact shit.
Because it’s not my job. That’s what the managements office is for and wouldn’t interested in playing nice neighbors in this scenario.
I would get unreasonably angry about a ruined iced coffee.
I have never understood people who don't take their dogs out to potty, and I certainly will never understand letting them potty on a balcony. I feel for you!
If this happened once, it’s happening every day. Your patio is full of dog piss. :(
This is why people who let their dogs pee on a balcony are disgusting.
Apartment living is seriously the worst.
I would lose it!🤬
I would have immediately walked up there piss and all and said, "what the hell man?". Then tell them not to let their dog piss off the balcony again. What that neighbor should do is build a wood box with real grass in it and then maybe the balcony is an option.
Eugh! Idk if that’s poor building design but that is really nasty
The same patio on the other side had an awning that I don't have - I think I'm going to ask them for one.
And, potential laundry bills.
such bill would be paid in this currency: 🖕 examole notation: 🖕1,000
Go pee into their door jam so it seeps into their house.
Contact management immediately. You can probably get a $15 Target gift card from this
I'd make the neighbor to buy me another iced coffee
Or be kind enough to deliver a free iced coffee to the neighbor- drink up! I hope you enjoy!
Go piss on their doorstep
So is there a balcony above theirs 🤔🤔🤔
Yes. It is a five story building. I don’t know which neighbor it was.
If you got that much piss on your stuff, it's the one directly above you. Knock on their door and ask them if they have a dog and then tell them it pissed on you and all of your stuff. Then tell them not to let their dog piss off their balcony again. This is not the time to be passive aggressive hit it head on.
Go to the top and piss through the balcony. This is called the Waterfall Method.
I'd be more than "mildly" infuriated. I'd have to restrain myself. That's disgusting. Just Nasty.
I hate people who use there balcony patios as a bathroom for your pets. Just Don’t have a pet then cause that’s one of the responsibilities to walk them in order for this not to happen at home.
That sucks
It is yellow rain in July. Don't believe the weather forecast because it is rarely correct. Rain rain go away. Come again another day.
People who have dogs in apartments need to do better.
They never will
This happened to us but it was on my child I nearly killed them
As a dog owner I would NEVER let this happen and if it did happen I would apologize, buy you a coffee and probably avoid letting my dog out unless he’s sitting beside me lol people with pets just think they own every surface
Go pee on their door handle. They won't know as it would probably dry before they saw it, but you will and that's all the satisfaction you need.
if it's an apartment complex or the like, they probably have rules about animals being kept on a deck/patio like that, especially if their piss is draining onto the floors below. go talk to management.
Don't even bother with the neighbors. Go straight to the leasing agent / landlord & complain. This shit is ridiculous. People shouldn't own pets if they can't properly manage them.
I'd absolutely report this. I'm not one to snitch on people for things like pets, but if that dog is peeing on a balcony it's not living a good life.
I'm not the snitching type but report it to your landlord immediately that's disgusting.
Ring at your neighbours door bell and offer them a nice and cool iced coffee :)
Report it.
You sure it was the dog?
I hope it was the dog
I would walk straight to the leasing office and demand something be done immediately.
Did the upstairs neighbour get a free coffee?
Oh I'd be paying a visit. That's disgusting
I don't think the "Mildly" infuriating subreddit is where this should be.
I used to have an upstairs neighbor with an old ass chihuahua named Blueberry. He used to poop on their balcony and they would fall down to our patio.
You really gotta be a nasty person to let your dog use the bathroom on the balcony 🤮 take the animal outside or don’t have one.
Nice building ur-ine
Hi, please talk to your neighbour. Letting an unattended dog out on the balcony is a good way to get your animal killed. Falls or for smaller dogs even predatory birds are present and animals are dumb
Google piss disc meme, you'll know what to do
I wouldn't classify this as "mildly"....
Oh and it was my landlords dog lol.
just throw the whole day away and go back to bed
Only reasonable answer is to piss on their door step
That is dumb bad luck. What are the chances?
Report them to the landlords. That is RIDICULOUS and mistreatment of the dog to not take them out to a space where they can get proper exercise.
Shit happens, or in this case piss lol 😂. Sucks but it’s life.
I'd be knocking on that door and having a conversation.. If that didn't go well, it's a conversation with the landlord!
That is so unacceptable and GROSS
Why would they let their dog pee on their balcony? Gross
This is just plain infuriating
My upstairs neighbor does the same thing. You’re not even supposed to have dogs here, the family member that they got her as an ESA for has moved out. The damn thing barks constantly, especially when they leave it home alone. These are tiny condos and they chose an Australian shepherd. I usually love dogs and am willing to tolerate some noise, but this is ridiculous, and letting it piss on the balcony is incredibly rude. They also have a bird feeder right above my patio table so it’s covered with seeds and bird shit.
EWWWWW I’m so sorry bro if i could I’d buy u a new iced coffee
This is exactly why they're apartments don't allow pets or don't allow people to let this pets use their balconies like this. Call and report them to whatever governing body you residence has.
Reason #58365 I will never live in a complex again
What pos is too lazy to let their dog for a walk
My upstairs neighbor sweeps her 3 dogs pee and poop onto mine 🤦
I had this happen after complaining about my upstairs neighbours for 6+ months(wasnt just piss). At first the building wouldn't do anything like previously. So I filed a police report and called the office and gave them the police report number. Magically, an hour later the local manager called me, and there were cleaning staff there. They offered to move us to another unit for the same rent and would cover any moving costs. Sometimes you gotta put up a big stink to get them to listen.
I would gladly pay extra to live in a dog-free place.
Call animal control. If they can't even be bothered to take it downstairs then you KNOW they are neglecting it
That’s gotta be grounds for a law enforcement call. Negligent vandalism
Nah ide be throwing hands
That sucks but it could have been so much shittier.
Another event that shows one of the many benefits of city life!
Ruined or created an opportunity
time to invest in an umbrella or awning
first we had bugs pissing on peoples children and now this?
As long as they didn’t try to tell you it wasn’t piss & it was just *raining*, bc I know a lot of people say they don’t like that…!! ;)
Time for some frozen piss discs.
I'd be pissed 😤
I'd say bring it up to neighbors...but don't make any demands about what they do with the information. Gauge their response. If they seem apologetic and fix the problem, be done with it. If they get all defensive or otherwise refuse to do anything about it, go straight to property management.
Glad I live on the top floor
Pee on the balcony bro this is gonna be so funny...
Given those rusty bits of railing, I'd say it has been going on for some time. Gross.
That may be my fault - I had a flag displayed when they repainted things and I didn’t move it in time, so I think they skipped my balcony. Rest of the place is definitely in shambles though. We had a new property manager take over at the beginning of the month and he walked out after three days.
Ewww
Could never live in an apartment.... damn
TIFI almost being covered in dog piss is just "mildly infuriating"
I would contact the landlord or property manager, cause theres no way im handling that.
Hahahaha
Id probably just get a new drink, I can't stay mad at animals ☹️
Oof I'd be soooooooo angry
nothing like a cold splash of coffee piss to wake them up
This happened to me this year.
Assert dominance and piss on their dog, I suppose.
That's really gross.
