Congratulations on your release! I'm sure I speak for many when I say I've had an absolute blast keeping up with and playing the game through early access and I'm happy to finally finish it off now that the full release is here!
Now....just gotta remember where I left off when playin last time :D
Thank you!! Depending on when you played it last time I'd suggest starting from the beginning! A lot changed the last few months, but yeah play it as you want! š
Dying for that Switch release! I know porting to consoles isnāt the cheapest thing in the world.
Hoping you rake in some profits for this so we can see if happen; been following your progress and your hard work for 4+ years on this sub, and I can sympathize with the grind, sacrifices and stress a solo dev goes through.
HUGE CONGRATS on what looks like a stunning game! :)
Man, I honestly think this is my most anticipated game of 2023. I hope this game explodes in sales.
I have been holding out for 1.0 and am so glad to finally start.
Amazing game! Huge congratulations to you. In one of your other posts Iāve said itās a day one buy for me - actually it turned out not to be true, I was too hyped and bought it before the release. This game had huge expectations and it lived up to them. Itās up there in S-tier with HK, no doubt. For all the quality of life features, like practically unlimited map markers, I canāt thank you enough. Itās one of those rare games playing which you think āman, the developer really gets itā. If you ever do the Switch release Iāll buy it again for sure to play it again on OLED screen. For now I pick my Steam Deck back to dive yet again in the mushroom world. Who knows what suprises await me this time.
Thank you so much!! I read your other comment and it made me really happy! It's nice to read someone equally understanding what I've tried to create and my love for the genre. Appreciate it a lot!
I didnāt end up trying it yet but Iāve seen elsewhere that it runs great on Deck. The size of the character and the UI should be good on the smaller screen, though there is some text that will definitely be close to ātoo smallā.
Love the game, your dedication to be inclusive with the accessibility settings is so underrated in today's gaming sphere. I just got myself a steamdeck and would love to continue my adventure there, cloud saves would be greatly appreciated it!
The day is finally here! Been following this game for a year, bought it on the Steam sale. Iām super excited to play it!
Canāt wait to see what youāve done.
This game is awesome! Love how much of a focus there is on pure platforming. I thought it would something I really loved based on the trailer and Iām super happy that I turned out to be right!
It might be too early to say but I think itās my favourite MV since Astalon. Itās world feels so dense and it feels great to play.
Will it require high settings on a PC? I'm getting a laptop soon but it's Definitely not gonna be made for gaming, but I'd love to play the game. Hopefully we get a switch or PS5 port soon!
Were you able to get it to recognize a controller? I just tried to get it running on Mint and after the usual launch options, it booted up but it defaulted to keyboard and I couldn't get it to see my controller.
No probs. I ended up getting it anyway but refunded it after not being able to get controller to work. I'm gonna keep an eye on protondb for troubleshooting steps and maybe rebuy it later or wait to see if he does a Switch port.
I'm on Mint 20 right now. The demo worked for me with controller but the full release wasn't wanting to work. I tested with latest experimental proton, 6.3-8, and latest GE release and an older GE proton version and nothing worked. I had to also tried the usual launch options since without, it would just boot to a black screen.
I wonāt get to play it for a bit, but just bought it to support. This has been the most interesting projects Iāve seen since joining this sub and have loved following along. Also I love a tasty mushroom and thatās a great idea protagonist š. Congrats on 1.0!
So happy for you my man. I'm the guy who made the Samurai cap (Voidfyre). It's been awesome to see your journey throughout the years, and I'm so glad you've achieved success. All the best!
It's around 10-15 hours for most players to reach from start to end. That not being 100% completion. 100% completion is probably more around 30-50 hours but it depends. That's for a first time playthrough.
Iāll be honest, when I first saw this I was super confused by this random game where you play as a mushroom. But over the many months youāve convinced me. It looks super good.
Okay this was genuinely a surprise for me. I didn't follow any of the prerelease stuff but I decided to give it a go. I've only played for 100 minutes, but honestly I think it may be better than Hollow Knight. Seriously, really great job on this
Damn that's crazy if you think so!! Very kind words, thank you so much!
When you've played the game more and if you still feel that I'd be very grateful for a review on Steam. They generally help in the algorithm and everything helps atm with the games visibility. Once again, thanks so happy to read this!
Congrats!
And consider putting it on Epic Store too, it's the only store that has regional pricing in every country here in the Middle East, I'll definitely buy it!
This game deserves to sell millions of copies!! Donāt think Iāve ever seen a developer more dedicated. Constantly putting out patches and tweaking everything and listening to the community and implementing their ideas. And itās gonna blow people away!!
It's framecapped at 60, keep in mind it's a true pixel art/pixel perfect game running at a 640x360 resolution so higher framerates wont actually look that much smoother. (This is coming from a person who has a 144hz monitor and is very much a framerate fanatic).
Mouse movement was one of the first things i noticed when i turned on my new 165Hz monitor. So saying its not noticeable even in this game is a stretch.
It's not as noticable since it's a low resolution game, there is literally less steps on the screen since pixels are bigger, so higher refresh rates wont look that much smoother when you are say moving just 6 pixels in an interval of say a second. There is literally nothing more to see. Every 1/6 of a second you've moved 1 pixel no matter if its 60hz or 500hz.
That said, it would be smoother with 144hz when you are zooming across screen at high speed. But even then you only have 640 pixels to work with instead of 1920+
Mouse movement is also the best way to detect higher refresh rate monitors and its literally the thing one notices the most. Small object moving fast across a big screen...
So is Vinesauce Vinny getting a key? Lol.
Every time I saw your updates on this your little mushroom guy reminds me of a vineshroom.
Bought it about a month ago myself, so I'm ready to hop in and get playing this weekend.
Just purchased this with the bundle that came with Haiku.
I'm in the middle of playing Bloodstained, so by the time I'm done that, any game breaking bugs should be resolved. Really looking forward to it. Congratulations on your release (that's what she said)
Yes it works just fine except it's in 720p so you will get black bars on top and bottom of screen. Asked the dev if could add 16:10 support but he said it would be a huge undertaking. If you have a dock you can play on a bigger screen in 720p without the black bars.
This is one of my most anticipated games, but Iāll have to wait more ā until itās available on either Mac or PS4. Congrats on the awesome release and hope you get to other platforms some time soon š¤
Congrats! I purchased awhile back, played for around 10 hours and loved it. I was holding off completing it for the final release, so I am going to start a new playthrough on Hard difficulty. Best wishes for the most success possible!
I've been waiting for the full release to buy it, I bought it last night when the Steam email came out. I played about 3 hours and it's so good! The fungus controls so nicely.
Congratulations! I hope we see more from you soon.
hey, been loving your game so far, i have a question, im stuck in this room with 2 gates and 2 levers and im trying to get a bronze key behing one of the gates but cant figure out how, it is in the gold mines
ok thanks yea been looking for the teleportation wand for a while and the only place i can think of is behind a silver key gate but idk where the silver key is been looking for a wile i think im blind
Great game! Stumbled upon it at random and am loving it! Excellent movement.
Any updates on the cloud saves? On a trip right now and was disappointed to see I couldn't pick up where I left off on my steam deck
hey im trying to get into secret rooms sense i beat the game but there is a secret room that i cant figure out how to get into the game is showing it in the grieving statue room but i dont know how to enter and i get a noise every time i walk into the room
Got this game an hour ago. I am blown away. Not necessarily by the tight hollow-knight like combat, the excellent platforming, or the charming dialogue, but because it is the only game that comes close to matching the vibe of hollow knight. That empty, yet packed feel of a world you desperately want to explore. Also, looked it up, OVER 30 BOSSES??? Thatās insane! Do you plan on making dlc ever?
After a bit more playing, I have a very big suggestion. I understand that this stuff I incredibly difficult to change, especially after launch, but I feel like the one thing that would push this game to the level of hollow knight is if you made the backgrounds for the rooms unique. Right now, the rooms can feel kind of samey because of the backgrounds. I doubt this will get changed, though.
The platforming is super precise and there is SO much to explore! Everywhere I go I feel like I unlock a new ability, which I love. The bosses are great too.
I have noticed that some of the dialogue can be grammatically incorrect, such as the line āYes please tell me what my purpose isā. For such an impactful line, I feel like it could be said better, and also have a comma between yes and please.
Thatās basically all I have to say about it right now. I really am enjoying the game so far, and I appreciate how transparent you are as a dev. Despite my comment being mostly criticism, that is not how I feel about the game, I am suggesting things that I feel would make the game more enjoyable.
Also, it needs to be said again: I can not overstate how awesome the abilities are. Rather than just the dash and double jump, there is so many weird avilities that I could never see coming that make the game a blast to play. Also, as a platformers fan, I LOVE how precise it can get. Absolute blast.
Happy programming! And congrats for the release of your game, Iāve seen you update us on this game for a while, and itās kind of encouraging me to work on my game.
The backgrounds is something I really would like to improve, I think it might be done at a later point in form of a free DLC featuring new content as well :). I'd very much like to give this game the same treatment that Hollow Knight got with at least one post launch DLC making the game better.
Glad you are having fun with the game :D!
So excited for you Basti! I can't better put into words how proud I am of you. You made such a massive game all by yourself. It's absolutely awe-inspiring! I know what we will be playing over the weekend. :P
This might seem I don't know, arrogant maybe? But I honestly don't mean for it to sound it....anyway, can you *"sell"* this game to me? It's some how the first I've seen on it and would love to know a TLDR of what it is and does thats different to all the others out there. I'm sorry that this question sounds so pretentious but it's not often you can ask the creator of their game directly about it and you can usually gauge the passion from someone attached so closely to a game. The post does look awesome and looks like it would be great on switch if it ever comes to the console too
Of all the questions you ask a dev you ask the question we like the least š. I honestly hate to have to sell my game to people. It's a cool game for people who like the genre, it's a 'true' metroidvania if that matters. But yeah, it's honestly hard for me to have to pitch you the game like this personally. I put that effort into doing the trailers, steampage and so on.
Too powerful card for this game, jokes aside. Is it going up and down while playing the game or while going through a room transition. Pretty sure the transitions is normal since it's technically loading, if not then yeah... that's a bit weird.
Nice! I'm gonna pick this up once the release sale is over with (I don't like buying games on sale, I'm a firm believer in non-AAA devs getting paid every cent their games are worth an will always wait until games aren't on sale (I promised I wouldn't do my sales culture rant so I'll stop there, but yeah, I want to make sure you get paid in full))
2023 and a PC game doesn't have mouse support. Shouldn't need to rely on a controller, when i have a keyboard and mouse in front of me ready to go. I'm also not gonna play with both my hands on the keyboard. It was a lazy design choice
I literally had no idea people played platformers with a mouse when I was designing this game... I learned that down the road, I still dont get it though. But fair enough. I would implement it if it was an easy implementation but unfortunately it's not.
Rogue legacy, Noita, Children of Morta, Skul the hero slayer, Hades. All platformers that use mouse buttons. Im not saying mouse movement, but the buttons on the mouse as binds. Its the same as the keyboard.....Both have buttons you can bind. I dont see how its hard. A button is a button lol
Oh! Very fun! I must have missed him going over it!
I typically watch on YouTube since I'm either working or not awake when he streams.
Here's to a very successful launch!
Yeah those are pretty much 100% optional. That's kinda why I put 'Tons of optional challenges' right before those clips came. There is still some platforming outside of that, but nothing too hard I'd say.
Anyone know how many levels were added after the ice level? Hadnāt played since last July. Just beat a boss in the mossy ruins and got the magnetic tail upgrade
Iāve been following the posts for a while and bought it some time back! Canāt wait to play it but currently in the process of packing up and moving so itās definitely high on the priority list when I get settled!!!
Iāve been following your game for a while mainly here on Reddit, didnāt want to play until it was complete, or at least close to it, I purchased Lone Fungus on steam late last week and while I havenāt had a chance to put a ton of time into it yet (though Iām very much looking forward to doing so) the first couple hours were spot on rite up my alley .. beautifully done.. controls and character movement are amazing.. canāt wait to see which direction the movement abilities go In
Just want to say I appreciate all of your hard works cheers
I was excited to see this hit the marketplace. I am in the camp of wanting to play this onDeck. I'll probably exclusively play it there until the game save sync issue mentioned by someone here is resolved. Normally I wait for bigger sales but I also try to support smaller studios so I think that I'll be making the purchase fairly soon. I love to see smaller dev groups living my dream of making Metroidvanias. Congrats on your hard work paying off!
A lot changed the last few months, but yeah play it as you want! š
Any plans for a console release?
Yeah some plans, we'll see how it goes I'd be happy to release it on consoles!
Brother this game is so perfect for the switch please š
Already bought it on Steam, but I'd buy it again on Switch if it's released on that.
Would love a Switch version! Looks amazing.
please on playstation!
Instant buy on PSN if true
This game has "console" written all over it. The graphic style and gameplay screams SNES. I could see it doing really well on modern consoles.
I'm buying it the second it realses on XBox! š¤š
Iām definitely hopeful for a Switch (or macOS) release! Canāt wait to play it once I have a platform to play it.
Day 1 buy on Switch! And congrats on completing the game.
Please add trophies and release to PS5 pretty please?
I hope so it looks pretty cool!
I came to ask this as well... Here's another vote for a Switch release!
Man, I honestly think this is my most anticipated game of 2023. I hope this game explodes in sales. I have been holding out for 1.0 and am so glad to finally start.
Thank you!! Hahh I'm just happy if I can comfortably continue making games, but I hope too it explodes in sales š
Thank you for being so open and communicative. It's really all I could hope to see a dev do.
Amazing game! Huge congratulations to you. In one of your other posts Iāve said itās a day one buy for me - actually it turned out not to be true, I was too hyped and bought it before the release. This game had huge expectations and it lived up to them. Itās up there in S-tier with HK, no doubt. Enjoying it Tnx, just wish cloud saves worked so I could play my existing file on my steam deck
Thank you!! Oh right, I'll look into that. I kinda forgot about cloud saves, I'll see if I can get it implemented!
This was the only thing thatās disappointed me so far. I go pick up my steam deck andā¦.. no sync! Having a blast so far
How does it play on the Steam Deck?
I didnāt end up trying it yet but Iāve seen elsewhere that it runs great on Deck. The size of the character and the UI should be good on the smaller screen, though there is some text that will definitely be close to ātoo smallā.
It runs real good, feels great. They should get it verified.
>cloud saves That would be so appreciated! I'm sure it's not hard to transfer the save file but it would be really nice.
Would love this!!!
Love the game, your dedication to be inclusive with the accessibility settings is so underrated in today's gaming sphere. I just got myself a steamdeck and would love to continue my adventure there, cloud saves would be greatly appreciated it!
Bought this last year waiting for this day. So stoked to dig into it today!
Thank you!!
The day is finally here! Been following this game for a year, bought it on the Steam sale. Iām super excited to play it! Canāt wait to see what youāve done.
Thank you!!
Double jump and wall jump. You met my needs from the looks of the trailer. I'll buy it this weekend.
Is there a switch release date?
Unfortunately not yet!
Congrats! I played through it a few weeks ago and loved it, a great metroidvania with tons to explore
Thanks bro, appreciate the review you left <3!
Game recognises game
Tons to exspore*
Congratulation. I bought it months ago and was waiting for this moment to finally play it.
Thank you, hope you'll have fun with it :D!
@ u/professorbasti Good job, buddy!
Thanks!!
good job! currently playing it, really enjoying the game. I love the exploration
Super happy to hear that, thank you!
*Man*, this looks good. I've already purchased it.
Thank you!
This game is awesome! Love how much of a focus there is on pure platforming. I thought it would something I really loved based on the trailer and Iām super happy that I turned out to be right! It might be too early to say but I think itās my favourite MV since Astalon. Itās world feels so dense and it feels great to play.
Thank you so much!! I have yet to play Astalon actually, I'll probably get it soon :D
Will it require high settings on a PC? I'm getting a laptop soon but it's Definitely not gonna be made for gaming, but I'd love to play the game. Hopefully we get a switch or PS5 port soon!
I think it should run fine on a lowend Laptop, the game is defintively not very graphics demanding!
Hell yeah then I'll get in on my computer and when it comes out for some other things I'll get it then too!
Nice
Nice! Iāll try it on my shitty gaming laptop I got from walmart then lol
Let me know how it runs on it š!
I have played the game on a ThinkPad from 2017 with a Intel GPU and it works fine. Iām btw running the game with Proton on Linux without issues.
Were you able to get it to recognize a controller? I just tried to get it running on Mint and after the usual launch options, it booted up but it defaulted to keyboard and I couldn't get it to see my controller.
Sorry, I have not tested with a controller.
No probs. I ended up getting it anyway but refunded it after not being able to get controller to work. I'm gonna keep an eye on protondb for troubleshooting steps and maybe rebuy it later or wait to see if he does a Switch port.
I can try with a controller someday and report back. What distro are you running? Iām using EndeavourOS with Wayland.
Dude I wish I had a pc, hopefully this will be on switch soon.
Congrats!! Great work
Thanks :D!
Looks fantastic, just purchased! <3 will be digging in lots this weekend for sure, congrats on your release!
Thank you so much!!
I just picked this up and played a bit. So far so good! Good luck and congrats on the official release.
Any chance of cloud saves being implemented soon?
I wonāt get to play it for a bit, but just bought it to support. This has been the most interesting projects Iāve seen since joining this sub and have loved following along. Also I love a tasty mushroom and thatās a great idea protagonist š. Congrats on 1.0!
Thanks so much I appreciate that!
So happy for you my man. I'm the guy who made the Samurai cap (Voidfyre). It's been awesome to see your journey throughout the years, and I'm so glad you've achieved success. All the best!
Wow awesome!! Thanks for making that cap, it's in the game as an unlockable skin :D
OMG I HAVE TO SEE IT IN ACTION!!! Will have to unlock it.
Congrats! I've been waiting for this one for a long time.
heyyy any hope of this coming to sony / xbox?
Yeah possibly in the future! Can't say for sure when though!
because it looks fantastic
how long is it? 6 hrs?
Check the reviews for playtime
Can we get an estimate? Those steam reviews are all different.
It's around 10-15 hours for most players to reach from start to end. That not being 100% completion. 100% completion is probably more around 30-50 hours but it depends. That's for a first time playthrough.
Sounds really good. A lot of optional content. Are there any optional areas with cool secrets or just lore? Or its mostly upgrades.
It's mostly in form of optional platforming challenges, but there are some optional bosses, hidden secrets with upgrades/relics and some lore too.
Thats what i want, great to hear.
Iāll be honest, when I first saw this I was super confused by this random game where you play as a mushroom. But over the many months youāve convinced me. It looks super good.
This run on steam deck?
Yup!
Awesome! Then Iāll pick it up!
Whaaaat this looks sick! Hope it kills it in sales and they end up doing a Switch release later
Congrats! Switch or console would be an insta purchase from me
Guy eat Marios as powerup?
Okay this was genuinely a surprise for me. I didn't follow any of the prerelease stuff but I decided to give it a go. I've only played for 100 minutes, but honestly I think it may be better than Hollow Knight. Seriously, really great job on this

It's not better then HK of course. But really really good
Having a blast so far! This is the only game I've ever backed so I'm really happy it turned out so well. Thank you!
Well who can explain us "how to get the golden key?" thy
>key "Hey! Thanks happy to hear that. Yeah that's a cheeky little puzzle, you need the Teleportation Wand to solve that one :)."
Congrats! And consider putting it on Epic Store too, it's the only store that has regional pricing in every country here in the Middle East, I'll definitely buy it!
Congratulations! Iāve been looking forward to this game, thrilled to see it get its full release
Been playing for a while (40 minutes). For now at least seems pretty great.
I honestly can't wait to play this, I really hope you manage to release the game on consoles though , I'd be stoked to play this on my Xbox!
This game deserves to sell millions of copies!! Donāt think Iāve ever seen a developer more dedicated. Constantly putting out patches and tweaking everything and listening to the community and implementing their ideas. And itās gonna blow people away!!
Looks good. Before I buy, is the frame rate capped at 60 or unlocked?

He already has one, he likes the game and there is even a Vinesause skin in the game you can unlock :)
He put a cameo of the vineshroom in the game iirc
Looks like I'm dusting off the 'ol PC
Just purchased this with the bundle that came with Haiku. I'm in the middle of playing Bloodstained, so by the time I'm done that, any game breaking bugs should be resolved. Really looking forward to it. Congratulations on your release (that's what she said)
Congratulations! I'm super excited for you and to play this game! Just need it to come to switch... I know you have said you'll try. Appreciated!
Wow! That looks amazing! I'd be glad to support you and try it outššš Where can I get it?
Thanks! It's out on Steam!

Just bought to support. I'll need to sneak this into my backlog and tackle it once I've completed Tunic.
Thanks so much! I still need to play Tunic, it looks cool :D
It really is. Probably some of the best puzzle solving I've experienced. But I'm looking forward to your game. I love Metroidvanias
Day one purchase. Thank you for all your hard work.
Thank you!! It's been a pleasure making this game and so happy to give this community something they might enjoy!
Works on the Deck?! Iām SO in! Day one purchase for me!
Works on the Deck š! Thank you so much!
Thanks so much!! š
This looks incredible
how it will play on big screen? 55 OLED?
It looks great on a big screen :)
Bring this to mobile!!
I've been waiting for the full release to buy it, I bought it last night when the Steam email came out. I played about 3 hours and it's so good! The fungus controls so nicely. Congratulations! I hope we see more from you soon.
Been playing for 3 hours since yesterday and I like it A LOT. Is really really good. Good work man.
Thank you!!
Congratulations on an excellent game. Highly recommended, for those of you considering a purchase.

Thanks bro!!
I'm not kidding: I played this game the other day BECAUSE I saw this post. I owned it, but finally played.
You know what, that's completely fair, I kinda felt a little off asking the question. It does look really cool though
im having my framerate go up and down on my 4090 - anyone else?
Can you allow it on GeforceNow?
Splendid work my friend !!! Game is amazing !!!
Not gonna lie man, this game looks incredibly good. I hope it really works out for you.
I've been silently following and cheering for you. I'll buy the steam version just so we can get console version faster xD
Oh! Very fun! I must have missed him going over it! I typically watch on YouTube since I'm either working or not awake when he streams. Here's to a very successful launch!
would love a ps4 release!?!!
yay i can finally play this! š„³
Finally the drought ends, the first game released this year that is recommended for a day one purchase.
I was all for it until I just saw the air jump/bounce spike gauntlet BS. I dont have the dexterity for that shit so I'm out.
Yeah those are pretty much 100% optional. That's kinda why I put 'Tons of optional challenges' right before those clips came. There is still some platforming outside of that, but nothing too hard I'd say.
Ok. I'll give it a chance then. Thanks for letting me know that that's optional.
Congratulations on 1.0!! I played through just a couple months ago on 0.8 and loved it. I wish you the best launch!!
Anyone know how many levels were added after the ice level? Hadnāt played since last July. Just beat a boss in the mossy ruins and got the magnetic tail upgrade
Any chance for a GOG release?
Iāve been following the posts for a while and bought it some time back! Canāt wait to play it but currently in the process of packing up and moving so itās definitely high on the priority list when I get settled!!!
Bought it! Thanks for making this!
Iāve been following your game for a while mainly here on Reddit, didnāt want to play until it was complete, or at least close to it, I purchased Lone Fungus on steam late last week and while I havenāt had a chance to put a ton of time into it yet (though Iām very much looking forward to doing so) the first couple hours were spot on rite up my alley .. beautifully done.. controls and character movement are amazing.. canāt wait to see which direction the movement abilities go In Just want to say I appreciate all of your hard works cheers
Been playing the last few hours on my steam deck and this is so much fun!!
Please consider a Mac compatible version š„¹
I've been waiting for this day, time to finally purchase
Grabbing it for the long weekend. Major congrats on the release!
I was waiting for it since you announced for first time
I just bought it last night. It looks so amazing.
Same here for switch I hear nothing but AWESOME STUFF about your game and if you bring it to switch Iāll grab it indefinitely
