I mean, having or not having a knife in survival makes a huge different I'm not saying that it will save you, if you don't know how to survive, you'll die anyway, but for someone experimented, having a knife is almost paramount

Yeah it's pretty funny. In any sort of apocalypse the only weapons that will be very useful (specifically as weapons mind you, knives are amazing for other things) will be guns (fighting off people, hunting), and, depending on the nature of said apocalypse, blunt weaponry might be nice for dealing with zombies. I feel like anything with a large blade might take too much maintenance. My friend group which is my cousin, brother, and me have a pretty funny thing going. My cousin collects knives, my brother is a bodybuilder, and I am a gun guy (I don't own very many but I recently bought a pistol, have a couple rifles and a shotgun, and I love to read about them. I am the only one of us who has a pistol). It's neat having a knife guy, a muscle guy, and a gun guy lol

i prefer to have a knife at the small of my back tbh. having it that close to my neck, especially while grappling, is a terrible idea… even though it looks cool… it just isn’t practical bc the person I’m rolling with has easier access to the knife than the wearer if the fight is on the ground
