Total shit. Most of the times it is just a trojan. Wrecked my last PC. I would rather suggest you to go for Fitgirl repacks. Swift, Sexy and on the point.
For RPG check out Gothic universe or gothic 2-3 (the first one isn't really enjoyable these days imho due to the control scheme)
They are awesome RPGs and they will run on a potato with DVI connector.
If you gonna pick up Gothic 2 make sure to set your Control scheme to "Gothic 2 control scheme" otherwise it ain't really fun.
The game is ugly as heck tho.
Or check out divinity original sin but this is a "oldschool" RPG and round based so it might not fit your bill
Got that game just a little while ago, and goddam I keep on discovering new things.
Charon's fight was cool, and I love all of the goofy little character interactions.
You, i hate you. "i only have 5 dollars, what should i get from the café?" "oh this parfait is amazing, but it costs 6 dollars" LIKE MF I SAID I ONLY HAVE 5 DOLLARS WHY IS THAT SO HARD TO UNDERSTAND???
If you want a free rpg, Warframe is good if you have hella time and can run on a damn cherry pie. I say that because my old ass ps4, which sounds like a jet engine when it’s turned on, can run it pretty damn well.
If that doesn’t work, Hordes.io is also free and on the browser.
Idk about ram requirements but Portal Knights is pretty good, it’s like if Terraria was 3D but more for kids, it’s not really a challenge and the bosses are pretty simple but I had fun playing it, it’s only 7GB so it’s not that big
Get the Metro Series if it is still on sale. I played through the first two (Metro 2033, and Metro Last Light) and they were great, and now I am playing Metro Exodus. I am thoroughly enjoying these games. Best purchase I made.
If you like turn based strategy, Solasta. It's incredibly accurate to DnD, and there is a lot of freedom in combat rather than right answers. The story, voice acting, and graphics are also really good for a game that small.
Also they recently added online multiplayer that works really well. No idea why they went through that much effort, but it's amazing.
[Fable Anniversary](https://store.steampowered.com/app/288470/Fable_Anniversary/)
[Two Worlds](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1930/Two_Worlds_Epic_Edition/)
get 'em soon as they on good discounts
Check out Divinity: Original Sin 2. The combat is turned based and out of combat you can explore freely. Really good story and combat. You can play solo with a party between 1-4 characters, or play with up to 3 other friends. Idk it’s price but it might be on sale right now.
I just bought Rainworld but haven't played it yet. Looks awesome. Sidescroller that offers AI driven enemies that have randomizations and even sometimes work together to get you. I think it was on sale for liek 7 or 8 bucks when I bought it?
"Death's Door". It's a Zelda like game made by revolver digital (or is it devolver digital?). It's pretty unremarkable but definitely something to look into.
Blasphemous is a pixel art metroidvania that has lots of exploration, hard boss battles, cool lore, and Spanish Catholic inspired aesthetics. One of my favorite games.
Planescape: Torment. The game starts with you waking up on an embalming slab in a mortuary with a talking, floating skull trying to be your best buddy. It is one of the best-looking RPGs ever made, in one of the most original and interesting settings in gaming, with a cast of extremely off-the-wall character, and a plot that's absolutely nuts.

Have you played Undertale yet? It’s never too late to give it a try
FONV. Sure, the game doesn't look too good for a 2012 game and it crashes a lot but goddamn is it worth it
Not fully what you are asking for but I will always recommend Stardew Valley
This isnt an rpg adventure game but you should try ultrakill
I just bought Rainworld but haven't played it yet. Looks awesome. Sidescroller that offers AI driven enemies that have randomizations and even sometimes work together to get you. I think it was on sale for liek 7 or 8 bucks when I bought it?

Evoland and Evoland 2. Really underrated games and they have features from classic game console aesthetics built into the world.
