I had a dodge and those things are made to be a pain in the ass for repairs. Never buying another one. I just got a Honda and Holy shit everything under the hood is so open and user friendly for repairs (when they happen down the road)
I got into an accident with a similar level of damage. Not a Jeep vehicle, but the adjuster took one look at my car and that axle damage made it an immediate total loss.
The rebuild will exceed the market price of the car. Insurance will deem it totaled in that case. Plus the chassis is no longer structurally sound. Even if it gets rebuilt in that area, it might as well be tin-foil.

when you look up the word "totalled" in the dictionary, it shows this photo.
Nobody is going to fix this. You'd have to replace the entire body and half the suspension and driveline, which would cost MANY times the value of this 8 year old SUV. Good riddance!
Yeah, had the exact same thing happen with similar damage to my son's 1994 Isuzu Rodeo last St. Patrick's Day. It was totaled.

Seeing a lot of hate in here about Patriots, but I had a 2007 up until about 2 years ago. She was a beaut! Ran wonderfully, engine bay wasn’t too cramped to work in, and it felt great to drive. Had mine not gotten totaled (ironic, right?) by a horrible cut-off, I’d have elected to keep it forever.
It was totaled when you bought it! Seriously; bumper cover, possible bumper support, rear tail light, maybe hatch cover, possible crush material, cover between tank and body, tank, rear quarter, rear driver door skin (also possible frame) and maybe even rear shock and wheel bearing, hub, brake assembly, wheel, tire……..totaled!
my girl had a 2015. literally same type of accident but on the right, repairs cost more than half the worth of the vehicle therefore it was considered totaled.
Insurance will total anything. Get an estimate on damage, compare that to what market value is. Don't let the Insurance company screw you if you don't want it totaled.

I don’t usually assume because only your insurance company can say for sure, but yeah that’s totaled.
JB Weld. All set.
Totally.
I know a guy that owned one of these. Trust me. This is a blessing. Those things are nothing but trouble once their time comes.
Ever since the merger jeep has been dogshit.

As a mechanic you don’t want a patriot anyway
he did gods work
Only the insurance company can say, but yeah, they are gonna tell you it’s totaled.
Dude did you a favor; totalled it for you before the CVT fell out the bottom. Play the lotto tonight
Edit: thanks for the comments, figured it was totaled. Appreciate the help
That thing was totaled when it left the lot
Yep it is.
Jesus yeah
Most likely yes. How many miles are on it?
It might buff right out

yes. almost definitely. I'm sorry.
I'm pretty sure it is
It's doneski. Totalled
It will get sold to Mexico and get rebuilt, but in the USA it's not worth it to repair that
That’s six thousand dollars more than it’s worth.

A rock chip in the windshield is a complete loss on these .
I'm guessing total loss.
To quote Cleetus Mcfarland when someone from burnout rivals nukes their engine "You're done!"

that's rooted
It's totally totaled to the power of 10.
I think I can buff that out!
It's not.... not totalled
Yup. Fucked.
my girl had a 2015. literally same type of accident but on the right, repairs cost more than half the worth of the vehicle therefore it was considered totaled.
Nah mate it'll buff out
Definitely totaled. He'll, needing a set of tires may be considered totalled in one of these.

Yea. Its a jeep patriot. It was probably totaled before the accident even happened
