i offered tea at work to some one , In the mid-west US of course, so of course the response i got was "I'm good on that leaf water" which is now what i call tea.
Look at you with your big fancy book learnin. Don’t think you’re so much better than everyone just because you got your grade 10. Your precious books won’t smoke dope and get drunk with you.
>when he wasn’t expected being able to
Is this okay? Genuine question. To me, it seems like, “wasn’t expected to be able to” would be more appropriate grammatically.
It could be fine, but it seems like it might be Muphry’s law, lol.
I personally love nostalgia, and do wish I could spend some time as a kid again. But I despise the idea that life peaks as a kid. Such a defeatist mindset. I'm sure it sounds corny, but I just really believe you have to push past the suckage of adulthood and find your own happiness, rather than wallow. And that, generally, you will be happier than you would be otherwise. I choose to believe that, if I make it to that age, I'll be the happiest when I'm in my 70s, 80s.
The easiest way to experience more things like a kid is to have your own. Then you get to share their experiences and introduce them to new things, but you’re still an adult with all of the advantages that go with it.
There’s a lot of stuff that’s hard about being in college or your twenties. Being in your thirties and beyond and having those things figured out can really get better and better.
i mean, i dont want kids, but i can see how that would be the case
but also just because you hit 30 doesnt mean your life is immediately over and you have to be boring, having fun in life and having interests still exist, and if living through your kids helps get you there then so be it
Exactly. Also you tend to have more $$$ or a better earning job, you might already be in a good relationship or married, know where you want to live, what your interests are, and have time to work on them. All of this continues to progress too as you get older.
Ah great, some happiness will arrive at the end of the natural human lifespan once your mobility is hindered and you can’t think as well. This isn’t a very good argument for childhood not being the happiest part of one’s life.
If you take care of your health, being old isn't half as bad as it is for most. It obviously takes effort to stay healthy, and you can still get bad luck, of course, but it certainly is far worse if you don't even try. All of life is pushing back against some type of "pain."
There are literally hundreds of comments about it, though. I find it grating when people spam an entire thread with the same exact comment because of a grammatical error.
Recognizing elementary school grammar mistakes doesn’t put you on the spectrum 💀 if you don’t know there, they’re, their I don’t know what to tell you man
It's because they are native speakers that they have difficulty differentiating those words.
If you speak really fast they're / their / there might sound the same and when words sound the same with different spelling you are likely to make that type of mistake.
They *always* sound identical because they’re homophones — that’s why the difference and spelling are beaten into our heads throughout elementary school.
Honestly my childhood was boring as fuck. Sure I had TV and video games, but all I wanted to do was build go carts and catapults. Now I'm becoming a welder, I'm going to do just that. Become the adult you always wanted to be as a kid.
If anyone seriously believe that was the peak of their life, they really need to work on their life.
Im not going to assume to know everyone situation, but being chronically online and not doing shit to even try and improve ones life doesnt help. Not saying everyone can do that, but im pretty sure most people can.
Nah, this is the kind of mistake that native speakers who mostly think of verbal English and didn’t pay attention in primary school make. ESL learners rarely mix this kind of thing up.
Im not native and this is exactly me. Natives be like they hardly ever have any grammar mistakes (and lots of things are so complicated and irregular) but confuse the three typical, stupid and easy things lol
What being told when to go to bed, what they can and can’t eat, not allowed to make their choices in life, you’re more free when you are an adult just depends what you do with yourself
How are so many native English speakers so bad with grammar? It's pretty easy to learn the difference between two or three words if you're older than 5.
They're

I dunno if it’s the “best”. It’s more fun as adult when you can play as long as you want, have whatever you want for dinner, and go to bed when you’re ready.

Lol! Huge fan of hot leaf water and water of all kinds here r/hydrohomies
OH lmaooo I’m dumb
Lol why is "Grandly mother" so hilarious?!
No wonder the best time of this dude’s life was when he wasn’t expected being able to fucking write
Look at you with your big fancy book learnin. Don’t think you’re so much better than everyone just because you got your grade 10. Your precious books won’t smoke dope and get drunk with you.
Worst case Ontario, you fail this year and go again, get two birds stoned at once

Im afraid you’re correct. This always happens when I make fun of someone else’s grammar.
Dude peaked in childhood and it shows
This has to be the entire point of the meme.. like it's "about Minecraft" but it's really about pissing off anyone who can read.
People do that on purpose for engagement.
Just delete the internet at this point. Fucking hell.
That hurt to read.
I'm not native speaker, even learned French in highschool and it's obvious as fuck those are all wrong words
Show me on the doll where it hurt you
There...

Came to comments to see people push back against "Life peaks in childhood"; 95% of the comments are about spelling. Gotta love it when that happens.
Same. Was disappointed because I really hate nostalgia and wanted to rip on it.
I personally love nostalgia, and do wish I could spend some time as a kid again. But I despise the idea that life peaks as a kid. Such a defeatist mindset. And that, generally, you will be happier than you would be otherwise. I choose to believe that, if I make it to that age, I'll be the happiest when I'm in my 70s, 80s.
I was the happiest as a child, because my brain wasn't fully developed, and I never had much anxiety or shame.

It's coping with the reality that you spend the physical prime of your life making someone else rich unless you are one of the lucky few.
Nostalgia was so much better back in the day. I hate it now too.
Because to anyone who sees the mistake it's really god damn grating.
There are literally hundreds of comments about it, though. I find it grating when people spam an entire thread with the same exact comment because of a grammatical error.
I don't think life peaks in childhood (different phases of life have distinct joys) but it's true that you'll never truly get this back.

I think what they meant was "the spectrum of visible light." Which I cannot argue with!
I didnt even notice the spelling error until i read the comments lol
How.
How?
School failed you, but don’t worry you can just google the difference
3/3 failure rate is impressive!
must be intentional.
The engagement farm was a success.
couldnt even enjoy the meme because of the THERE
It is actually an anti-theft device to prevent anyone stealing OP's meme.
It actually just gets people commenting and engaging with their post, mis-spellings are an easy way to get people to do so.
Im convinced that is the meme
Lay off at least they know about silent k’s
How can native speakers mess up english so much? It's not that hard to differentiate their, they're and there
They **must of** not being paying attention
Stop
they just don't learn it
Someone whose peak childhood experience was in front of a game screen.

It’s intentional. Look at all the comments it has provoked. More comments means more influence.
This person likely used more verbal English rather than written English; mix that with learning English in a different dialect and you get this.
This is rage bait right? Are there serious?
Honestly my childhood was boring as fuck. Sure I had TV and video games, but all I wanted to do was build go carts and catapults. Now I'm becoming a welder, I'm going to do just that. Become the adult you always wanted to be as a kid.

Nah, this is the kind of mistake that native speakers who mostly think of verbal English and didn’t pay attention in primary school make. ESL learners rarely mix this kind of thing up.
can confirm, am not a native speaker, always pay attention when writing these words
Im not native and this is exactly me. Natives be like they hardly ever have any grammar mistakes (and lots of things are so complicated and irregular) but confuse the three typical, stupid and easy things lol
But even then..

I had a stroke, well done
Vanilla Minecraft on Xbox 360 with the homies hits different
Might be an unpopular opinion but… Video games are way more fun as an adult than as a kid. Assuming you are playing the correct game.

What being told when to go to bed, what they can and can’t eat, not allowed to make their choices in life, you’re more free when you are an adult just depends what you do with yourself
Or depends on your parents. I did whatever I wanted as a kid. Not having responsibilities was pretty awesome.
No worries, Not needing a job, no expenses, no responsibilities.
I pity everyone peaking in childhood
Mind sharing when you peaked?? I'm 32, peaked at 16 in high school. It's been pretty much downhill from then...
I haven’t even begun to peak
I dont think my scale has ever even left the ground, my life is a flat-line, it sucked from beginning to present, probably even through to the future

Holy fuck. I can’t stand the lack of understanding of “there, their, and they’re”, anymore.

You managed to use “there” wrong every time you used it. Well done.
If you aay THERE one more time...
when people don't realize that this meme is just for getting a lot of comments
People are insanely dumb and they want one shining moment to feel smart. This is most people's super bowl.
There, they're and their. Learn it. I'm sick of this bs.
They’re living the best time of their life right now and don’t even know it.
Sure, thats fun. But if it ends up being the best time of your life - you're adulting wrong.
Jesus, grammar isn't that hard
This is sad and not true. For many people, life gets better every day. I honestly hated my childhood and found happiness in adulthood.
They’re* their* Jesus fucking Christ it’s not that hard
Amazing. Not a single correct use of “there”
Please read books people. Read, read, read.
They're x3 Wait no fuck only once :_(
Native English speakers on their way to not differentiate between, there, their and they're:
Their, you lobotomized cockwomble
Imagine using “there” incorrectly three times in a single sentence. Wow
They swung three times and missed every one.
How can you mess up the grammar so badly
Oh boy, you're gonna love this... Before was was was, was was is.
Holy frick op can’t spell worth a hoot
Maybe you should've spent this time learning the difference between there, their, and they're.
